  • 현대 사회의 도시가 고밀도로 개발되면서 녹지공간의 축소로 인하여 이상기온 현상 즉 열섬현상이 발생하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이상기온현상인 열섬현상의 해결방안 중 하나로 제시되고 있는 건축물의 옥상녹화시 건축물의 온도 저감효과가 건축물 화재의 발화원인 중 하나인 전기화재에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 한다.

  • A drastic development of modern cities and transportation means as part of a rapid industrialization and urbanization for the past half-century has consistently broaden the boundaries of urban dwellers while, at the same time, raising issues as to establishing relationships among them throughout the society following the materialization of modern urban planning. Within the framework of the postmodern concept, there have been consistent efforts to create a community space in appropriate size and, in particular, the concept of New Urbanism and Urban Village that emerged in mid 1800s along with the effort to build a community by building an ideal city provides an important meaning today when people are seeking to restore a healthy community. Against this backdrop, this study aims to explore the concept of community and to determine its optimal scope of implementation in the sense of healing environment under the premise that organizing a healthy city is based on building a solid urban community. The study findings and conclusions are as follows. First, a community is a subject of constant consideration in the process of historical development of the city and has required us to take a variety of strategic approaches and to determine the scope of implementation. Second, the activities of a healthy community have been conducted under various types of environments, including churches, commercial facilities, urban plazas, parks, and streets in various scales, reflecting their unique characteristics. Third, in the process of designing a healthy and sustainable city, determination of location carries significant implications along with building a community of appropriate size, which requires multidisciplinary considerations in addition to functional approaches. Fourth, the composition and design of a modern urban community need to seek practical ways of its implementation within the concept of healing environment.

  • 현재 전국적으로 $\blacktriangle$ 전기, 가스, 상수도, 하수도, 열수송관 등을 공동 수용하는 '지하공동구'가 14개 도시 30개소에 160.4km $\blacktriangle$ 보행공간으로 병용되는 '지하도로'가 23개도시 118개소에 63만 $m^2$ $\blacktriangle$ 지하도로내 설치된 지하점포가 1만1천798개소 23만$m^2$이 있다. 이와 같이 현대 도시내에서 지상공간의 과밀도 개발로 인하여 지하공간의 수요가 증대되어 지하공간 구조물이 많이 설치되고 있는 반면, 지하상가, 지하천 등과 같은 지하공간 시설에서 발생할 수 있는 침수피해 대책이 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 과거 지하공간의 침수피해 실태를 조사하고 그 사례에서 원인을 분석하여 기술적 해결책을 도출해 내며, 침수방지를 위한 대책으로 국내에서 사용하고 있는 기숙이나 국외(미국, 일본)의 침수방지 기술 및 대책, 침수시 가이드라인 등을 조사하였다. 또한 지하공간이 침수되었을 때 일어날 수 있는 위험성에 대하여 이론적인, 기술적인 조건에 대하여 조사하였다. 이를 토대로 지하공간의 유형 즉, 지하주택, 지하상가, 지하공공시설(지하차도, 지하철, 전철, 지하변전소)에 대한 구체적인 침수방지 기숙에 대한 기준을 제시함으로써 궁극적으로는 지방자치단체, 관련기관, 연구기관에서 지하공간 침수방지대책에 대한 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • 2000년대에 들어오면서 우리나라에는 대전, 영월, 김해를 시작으로 많은 시민천문대가 생겨나면서 지방자치단체에서 건립한 시민천문대 외에도 다양한 형태로 시민들이 이용할 수 있는 천문대가 생겨났다. 현재 전국적으로 파악되는 공립, 사립 천문대의 수가 50개를 훨씬 넘으며, 이 가운데 약 절반은 지방자치단체에서 건립한 시민천문대이다. 그러나 이런 시대의 흐름에도 불구하고 인구 350만인 거대도시 부산에는 제대로 된 시민천문대가 아직 없는 실정이다. 수도권의 경우 서울시청을 기준으로 접근거리 150km이내의 시민천문대는 최소 15개가 넘으며, 사설 천문대 등을 합하면 이 수치의 2~3배에 달한다. 한국천문학회는 부산시민의 전폭적인 지원에 힘입어 2021년 제 31차 국제천문연맹총회(IAUGA 2021)를 부산으로 유치하는데 성공하였다. 부산시는 과학문화도시로서 시민의 과학대중화 사업, 특히 천문학 관련 교육과 홍보에 심혈을 기울여 왔으며, IAUGA2021의 부산 개최를 맞이하여 세계적인 과학도시로 성장할 계기를 마련하게 되었다. 21세계 우주시대를 살아가는 선진 시민으로서 350만 부산 시민의 우주에 대한 호기심을 충족시켜주며 청소년에게 현대적인 우주관을 교육할 수 있는 시민천문대의 건립을 제안한다. 구경 1m 급 주망원경을 갖춘 천문돔, 다수의 보조망원경을 갖춘 관측실, 천체투영관, 강의동 등으로 구성될 부산 시민천문대는 부산뿐만 아니라 과학문화가 상대적으로 낙후된 동남권 지역의 천문학 교육을 위한 중추적인 과학문화시설이 될 것으로 기대한다.

The Study on the Correlation between Value Recognition and Urban Design Policy on the Urban Street - Focused on the Spatial Changes in Seoul during the Modern Periods - (현대성으로의 가치인식전환과 도시공공공간의 변화상에 관한 연구 - 1960년대 이후 서울의 도시가로환경과 그 담론을 중심으로 -)

  • This study focuses on the genealogical analysis of the urban public spaces by the local history of Seoul which is significantly different from western cities. The analysis targets the discourse of the urban street which defines urban space-structure among the urban public spaces. Based on the analysis, we define the progress levels of urban public design policy in Seoul. Firstly, in 1960's and 1970's, 'urban reconstruction' was intensively carried out for the country modernization, and 'vehicle preferred street expansion' resulted in damages to historical inheritance, in-humanized street, and cultural uniformity. 1980's and 1990's would be defined as 'politic acceptance of plural values to the urban street.' There were the Olympic Games held in Seoul in 1988, which were the celebrations of the 600th capital establishment and the autonomous local government system. In the meanwhile, diverse values on the urban street were discussed in terms of globalization. There also were the self-reflection for the urban skyscrapers and high-population rate, the cultural uniformity of urban street, and the commercialization in downtown with urban reconstruction plans. Then, the sense of landscape and amenity was focused. Various urban projects and regulations were held according to the changes of value recognition. 2000's can be defined as 'introduction to the organic integration and the urban public design governance.' In the 21st century, types of recognition have changed significantly, which include publicness, humanism, sustainability, symbolism, artistry, placeness, and communication. They cause the establishment of ordinances and the installation of integrated organization via urban design administration. The legislation has been revised in order to support the various methods for the maintenance and operation of urban landscape in terms of local characteristics. New regulations were established for residents to participate in the processes of the urban planning with street design policy.

  • The objective for the plan of informatization which the government earring out is the modernization of the in-formation service system to be diverse and speedy. With the increase in variety and volume of the available in-formation at the city now, it has become necessary to develop more efficient system of offering the various displays by using computer graphics and multimedia functions as well as storing and managing the information. The multimedia urban information system, which we developed, was designed to furnish various informations of the city to the citizens more efficiently by using Visual BASIC in the personal computer with inexpensive prior. The datas of text, voice, and dynamic images were integrated in this, system by multimedia tools. Also, the database was established to get the expert datas-traffic volume in peak hour, traffic accidents, and road information. as well as general urban informations.

  • The urban space has both aspects that the happy space that guarantees opportunity and comfort is an unfortunate space where poverty, exclusion and deportation proceed simultaneously. In other words, growth and decline are simultaneous within the city, and this phenomenon is more evident in modern society, which is getting more complicated. The harbor space is also affected by the growth and decline of the port industry directly or indirectly in the port area. However, since there is no systematic guideline for development and planning of port space in Korea, the phenomenon of the decline of the rear area, which is made up as if the harbor space has been growing and declining from past to present, is getting worse.

Cellular Automata Based Urban Landuse Change Modeling Considering Development Density (개발밀도를 고려한 셀룰러 오토마타 기반의 도시 토지이용 변화 모델링)

  • Although development density control has received murk attention in urban planning, there has been little research on empirical methods that can examine local changes in development density. Recently, attempts have been made to develop cellular automata (CA) models that can be applied to urban landuse change. This paper aims to develop an extended landuse change model based on urban CA considering development density. The proposed model not only includes density control component in a model framework, but also directly estimates local density changes in land use. The developed model was applied to the study area, which was a part of central Seoul. The calibration of the model was carried out over the period $1900s\sim2000s$ using parcel-based land use data and related variables The results of the calibrated model have been tested by comparison with actual landuse data, and have demonstrated that the developed model can produce realistic simulations of urban landuse changes. But model output is dependent on the spacio-temporal resolution of input data. Further research is necessary to improve the calibration procedure and methods for evaluating model validity.

Assessment of Contemporary Urban Parks in Korea - Satisfaction and Landscape Images - (현대 대표 도시공원에 대한 평가 - 만족도 및 경관이미지 특성을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to classify and assess the characteristics of urban Korean parks by on-site park users' reactions, such as satisfaction, preference and cognitive image of the park and park facilities. The park facilities are classified into five types of satisfaction: management status, activity facilities, convenient facilities, circulation and density, and landscape facilities. The park users are satisfied with conversation, rest and relaxation in the parks, but not satisfied with studying and nature experience. The behaviors in the park are classified as park activities, emotional and experiential activities, and nature activities. The results indicate that the images of the parks are stable, comfortable and natural. There are three factors to classifying the park images: nature-harmony, openness, uniqueness. Preferences for each parks are generally good. According to the criteria such as satisfaction of park facility, behavioral satisfaction, images and preference for each park, the 12 parks are divided into 5 different types: multi-purpose park, well-balanced park with natural elements, urban open space, park to be improved, and ecological park. The characteristics of each park was analyzed and categorized. This study dealt with only the parks in Seoul and its environs, and the survey was only done during the summer season. Therefore, further research is necessary to enlarge and generalize the results of this study, considering seasonal and regional variations.
