With the recent advent of the New Normal era, realistic technologies and non-contact technologies are receiving social attention. However, the hair styling field focuses on the direction of the hair itself, individual movements, and modeling, focusing on hair simulation. In order to create an improved practice environment and demand of the times, this study proposed a non-contact hair styling VR system. In the theoretical review, we studied the existing cases of hair cut research. Existing haircut-related research tend to be mainly focused on force-based feedback. Research on the interactive haircut work in the virtual environment as addressed in this paper has not been done yet. VR controllers capable of finger tracking the movements necessary for beauty enable selection, cutting, and rotation of beauty tools, and built a non-contact collaboration environment. As a result, we conducted two experiments for interactive hair cutting in VR. First, it is a haircut operation for synchronization using finger tracking and holding hook animation. We made position correction for accurate motion. Second, it is a real-time interactive cutting operation in a multi-user virtual collaboration environment. This made it possible for instructors and learners to communicate with each other through VR HMD built-in microphones and Photon Voice in non-contact situations.

The statistical wisp model for hairstyle generation was introduced in [1]. It provided a program to load human models, set parameters, generate wisps and strands, and make constraints. However, the program used hard-coded human models and prescribed constraints so that it was hard to change different models and manipulate constraints. Hence we provide a simple interface by drawing maps and constraints. Also, we can increase the speed of computation by using GPU acceleration.

This paper deals with the development of a smart mirror to support changing hair styles. A key function of the service is the ability to synthesize the image into the user's face when the user chooses a desired hair image and virtually styling the hair. To check the effectiveness of the hair image synthesis function, the success rate measurement experiment of Haar-cascade algorithm's facial recognition was conducted. Experiments have confirmed that the facial recognition succeeds with a 95 percent probability, with both eyes and eyebrows visible to the subjects. It is the highest success rate. It confirmed that if either of the eyebrows of the subjects are not visible or one eyeball is covered, the success rate of facial recognition is 50% and 0% respectively.

This study investigated the history of Korean wedding styling, which has been the basis for today's wedding styling and analyzed wedding styling trends and characteristics. This study sought to explain how Korean wedding styling has evolved under the circumstances that wedding styling, which contains personal propensity, personality and identity, draws great attention from the world as well as from single women and is perceived as a fashion item The study results found the following: For nearly four decades since the 1960s, there have been specific changes in Korean wedding styles such as silhouette and color. Depending on customer personality, preferred styles clearly varied. In addition, favorite makeup, hairstyle and accessories have also changed over time. This study has verified changes in different wedding styling trends over time. Wedding styling has created a particular mood suitable to a bride's appearance or offered significant characteristics over time.

It is a reality that office workers in modern society cannot overlook their appearance management for promotion in the workplace that does not fall behind in competition with others and smooth human relationships. According to this social trend, it is time to conduct an in-depth cosmetology study on the appearance management and perception of office workers, including hair styles. Therefore, this study analyzed the hair style type and preference closely by cross-analyzing the differences between groups by classifying the occupational persons of female airline crew, female soldiers, female sportsmen, female lawyers, and female nurses into age, marriage, academic background, and occupation. As result of study, it was found that different women in each occupational group had different results, such as their current hair style type and hair texture, the use of current hair styling products, and their personal preference for women's hairstyles and hair colors. This study will be used as basic data for developing new mode items that meet customer needs in the beauty marketing market and researching customer demand.

The development of computer and multimedia brought out new technology, that is, virtual reality. Computer simulation adaptation among the technologies of the virtual reality is spreaded into air service, motor vehicle, medical science, sports, education, even fashion industry. This study look into 2-dimensional hair-style computer simulation system which is started to common use nowadays and the 3-dimensional system which is under the development. And this study proposed several problems such as heavy 3D system booth and the low price but low qualified camera in order to commercialize the 3D system. This study also suggest several alternative, for instance, the change from object photography method to panoramic photography method, the substitute by middle or high end and high qualified camera.

Virtual reality has been new useful technology which have been brought our from the development of computer and computer based multimedia. Computer simulation application among the technologies of the virtual reality has spreaded into air service, motor vehicle, medical science, sports, education, even fashion industry. This study aims to look into application of computer simulation on hairdressing industry and researches 2-dimensional hairstyle computer simulation system which is started to common use nowadays and the 3-dimensional system which is under the development and furthermore investigates the usefulness of the 2D hairstyle simulation by questionnaire from its users. Statistical analysis show that 64.6% of examiners are satisfied at the results of 2D hairstyle simulation, 50.6% of them intend to recommend it to others and 63.3% of them intend to speak highly of it.

스마트 거울은 다양한 IT기술을 활용하여 다양한 정보를 제공해 주는 거울이다. 그러나 기존의 스마트 거울은 단순한 정보만을 제공하거나 기존 정보 시스템에 답습에 그치고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존 스마트 거울의 기능과 함께 사용자 맞춤형 스타일링 가이드 모드를 최적화한 Iot 기반 스마트 거울 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템의 스타일링 가이드모드는 헤어 스타일링 방법 추천과 메이크 업 방법 추천, 퍼스널 컬러를 이용한 화장품 색상 추천 등의 다양한 기능을 제공하여 거울의 본질을 극대화 할 수 있도록 한다. 제안 시스템은 스마트 거울이 갖추어야 할 날씨 정보, 대중교통 도착정보, 길찾기, 일정 관리, 사진 촬영 등의 일반적인 기능을 제공한다. 이를 바탕으로 사용자에게 새로운 스타일링의 접근성과 활용성을 높이고, 다양한 미디어 정보를 통한 정보 활용과 외출 시간을 단축하는 새로운 스마트 거울 시스템을 제안한다.

This study classified hairdressing techniques into hairdressing equipment, beauty/care, and styling and investigated current trends in patent applications. In addition, it analyzed what aspects should be concentrated on in terms of future hairdressing techniques and their growth potential. The results found the following: Hairdressing techniques have been on the rise since 1990 in terms of patent activities. In particular, they have been most active in 'electric hairdressing equipment such as hair dryers and hair straighteners. According to analysis of applicants' application trends, technique leaders were different by sector. In hairdressing techniques, in other words, expertise should be developed by sector. It is anticipated that this study would facilitate and expand the hairdressing market by analyzing hairdressing technique patent trends and establishing future directions for R&D in hairdressing techniques.

In the social atmosphere where the importance of appearance is increasing day by day, efforts and desires of modern people are becoming more active and diversified, and the beauty beauty industry is gradually becoming more specialized and specialized due to these effects. Hair damage is inevitable due to the excessive permanent wave or hair coloring of modern people. However, as the hair is damaged, the cuticle peels off and falls off, and the tensile force decreases and the satisfaction after hair styling or perm decreases relatively. Therefore, it is necessary to manage damaged hair, but since artificial synthetic products occupy most of hair treatment agents on the market, it is necessary to develop a hair treatment product containing antioxidants useful for the human body. In this study, the effect of maple leaf extract on the mechanical change of colored hair was analyzed to investigate the potential of maple leaf extract as a hair treatment agent to improve damaged hair and improve hair health. It is considered that this study will be used as basic data for the development of hair beauty products using natural products in the future.
