Categorization of Traffic Type According to Seoul-City Administrative District Using Cluster Analysis (군집분석을 이용한 서울시 행정구역별 교통유형 분류)

  • PURPOSES : Traffic situation of Seoul City is different each administrative district. because each administrative district population, average travel speed, etc are different. thus, regionally differentiated policy is necessary. METHODS : In this study, first, it is to implement the cluster analysis using the traffic factor of twenty-five administrative districts in Seoul, categorize it into the cluster and understand the properties. second, related factors of speed were derived. and method to increase the speed was investigated. we choose the eleven traffic factors such as the number of traffic accident cases, total length, speed, the number of cross section, the number of cross section per km, the rate of roads, registered cars, population attending office and school, population density, area. RESULTS : In the results, first, we could categorize the Seoul-City administrative district into three clusters. in order to find Factors associated with speed a simple regression analysis was performed. and the number of intersections per km is closely related to the speed. CONCLUSIONS : Through this study, transportation policies reflecting local traffic-related characteristics are required.

  • This study proposed a traffic accident prediction model developed based on administrative districts of Seoul. The model was to find the relationship between accident rates and the representative land usage of the districts (development density) - the higher the development density (building floor area) is, the higher the traffic accident rate is. The findings showed that traffic accident statistics differ from (1) residential building floor area, (2) commercial building floor area and (3) business building floor area.

  • Objective of this research is to point out problems of geographic division structure in current Korean Decimal Classification System and provide solutions. For this purpose key classification methods were divided to decimal and non-decimal classification methods and analyzed for geographical division principles. In addition, national institutes regional division standards from Korea, USA and Japan were researched. Through these analysis, we provided suggestions to improve the table of geographical division in KDC4 including public institutions administrative district classification structure relations and consistency, and other regional divisional standards (proposal) instead of typical administrative district reflecting various geographical conditions.

  • "The Plan for the Development of the National Geographic Information System" designates the following six major thematic maps as the main subject of digital mapping project: topographic-cadastral maps; administrative boundary maps; land use maps; road network maps; national land zoning maps; and urban planning maps. Carrying out the digital mapping project requires standards and guidelines for digitizing process. However, there is neither standards nor guidelines with regard to thematic map production. This study describes the steps involved in producing thematic maps and provides the best procedural alternative for the production of thematic maps. Based on procedural alternative suggested by this study, actual digital maps have been experimentally produced for the selected area, Anyang-Si Dongan-Gu. The results of this experimental work have been utilized to government for not only making the guidelines but also initiating plans for the development of thematic map production.roduction.

Comparative Evaluation of Albedo Distribution according to Administrative Boundary Using MODIS Products (MODIS 영상을 이용한 행정구역별 알베도 분포 비교평가)

  • This paper is primarily intended to present quantitative evidences for land surface albedo difference among seven metropolitan cites in South Korea. An empirical study for experimental sites was conducted to confirm how a standard MODerate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) instrument offers the viable method of measuring and comparing the regional heterogeneity of albedo among administrative districts. The metropolitan cities like Seoul located in dense building environment do result in much lower albedo than those exposed in much more sub-urban surface (e.g KwangJoo). These experimental results indicate that an urban surface such as building and road is a crucial explanatory variable for lower albedo. It is confirmed that the urban surface such as building and road could be employed as a proxy of the lower albedo burden in the metropolitan area. It is anticipated that this research output could be used as a valuable reference to confirm the potential of introducing the new concept of "administrative districts specific albedo management" to support more scientific and objective decision-making in the process of GHG (Greenhouse Gas) reduction project.

A Constructive Algorithm for p-Median Facility Location (p-중앙 시설 위치선정 구성 알고리즘)

  • This paper proposes a location algorithm that locates newly built p-facilities in the optimal area with minimum cost in a city of n districts. This problem has been classified as NP-hard, to which no polynomial time algorithm exists. The proposed algorithm improves the shortcomings of existing Myopic algorithm by constructing until p-facilities and exchanging locations of p-th facility for p=[1, n-1]. When applied to experimental data of n=5, 7, 10, 55, the proposed algorithm has obtained an approximate value nearest possible to the optimal solution take precedence of reverse-delete method. This algorithm is also simply executable using Excel.

The Concept of Extended Industrial Cluster and Its Policy Directions (광역클러스터 개념의 도입과 정책과제)

  • The concept of industrial cluster began with the agglomeration economies occurring in a small scale place, which are mainly drawn from intense networking between companies, universities, research centers and other institutional bodies. Recently, however, as cooperation between autonomous administrative units and between industrial clusters has been more active than ever, there has emerged the concept of extended industrial cluster (EIC) and, subsequently, policy measures for nurturing it. This study focuses on the concept of EIC, mainly in the perspective of the need to adopt it into the industrial cluster literature. The study identifies the raison d'etre of EIC in the respects of the flexibility of geographic range, complementarity and cooperation between functions and regions, scale economies and productivity, and the development stage of industrial clusters. It also suggests how to establish the concept of EIC in the Korean context and how to apply EIC policy in the Korean industrial policy.

  • In order to support effective decision-making related to inter-sewage planning, this study proposes the spatial distribution method of inter-sewage treatement area using spatial analysis of GIS, Communication system of database, spatial interaction of Gravity model. Evalution Indexs are consist of economic, social/political and environmental condition value which are explained by the analysis of AHP algorithm ,based on opinion of related experts. Network module in Arc/Info is applied in order to find out minimum pipeline root in Miho river watershed, one of the sub-basin of Geum river basin. This value also is utilized for the construction of cost decay function in gravity model.

  • 늘어나는 자연재해에 대응하여 새로운 보험 상품이 개발되고 있으며, 보험료 및 보험보상료의 증가에 따른 재보험율의 조정과정이 과학적 근거하에 작업이 이루어져야함에도 불구하고 2006년까지 이와 같은 재해 규모와 피해를 예측하거나 모의할 수 있는 시스템은 한국에서는 거의 드문 상황이었다. 본 과제의 목적은 남한 지역을 대상으로 하여 지진, 태풍, 해일, 풍수해 등의 주요4대 재해에 대한 정보를 지리정보와 더불어 구축하여, 민간 보험사에서 자연재해에 대응하여 계획을 세우고, 과학적인 기준 마련하는 것이다. 구축된 데이터는 국가NGIS 사업의 결과물인 1: 5,000 수치지도를 근간으로 하여 각 재해별로 참조할 수 있는 각 부처의 자료를 가공하여 격자화 하여 구축하였으며, 민간보험사에 보유하고 있는 물건의 주소를 포인트 위치로 산정하여 지역별로 검색이 가능하도록 구축하였다. K-weather 등의 기상정보서비스를 실시간으로 연결하여, 태풍 및 풍수해 발생시78개 지점의 자료가 실시간으로 입수되어 주변현황을 모의할 수 있도록 하였으며, 종합적인 피해모델의 경우는 주로 물건의 수와 총액수준으로 평가할 수 있도록 하였다. 각 재해에 대한 취약성 함수는 뮌헨 재보험사의 것을 기본으로 하였으나 상세한 변수조정은 실제 자료를 대응시키면서 최적화된 값을 선정하였다. 본 시스템 구축은 과거자료를 중심으로 한 부분과 임의의 태풍 및 강수량을 특정위치에 적용하였을 때, 보험사가 지불해야할 보험금 액수를 산정할 수 있도록 하였으며, 향후 보험 상품의 지역적 차별화에 근거자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. 각 재해의 총합이 각 행정구역과 격자의 위험도로 상대적인 위험도 주제도가 생산이 됨에 따라 보다 합리적인 민간회사의 의사결정에 GIS가 사용될 수 있음을 보여주는 사례로 연구의 의의를 두겠다.

  • 본 논문에서 위치 정보 데이터란 텔레메틱스 분야의 응용을 위하여 웹상에서 수집한 Point-of-Interest (POI) 데이터로서 행정구역 및 지명 인명, 상호명과 같은 위치 검색에 사용되는 어휘로 구성된다. 본 논문은 음성 인식 시스템을 구성하는 발음 사전의 개발에 관한 것으로 250k 위치 정보데이터로부터 운율어를 이용하여 불규칙 발음과 발음 변이를 포함하는 가능한 모든 발음을 생성하는 방법을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 원래 모든 POI 는 한 번씩만 데이터에 포함되어 있으므로, 그 가운데 불규칙 발음을 포함하는 POI를 검출하거나 발음을 생성하기 위해서는 각각의 POI 하나하나를 일일이 검토하는 방법밖에 없는데, 대부분의 POI 가 복합명사구로 이루어졌다는 점에 착안하여 운율어를 이용한 결과, 불규칙 발음 검출과 다중 발음 생성을 효율적으로 수행할 수 있었다. 이러한 연구는 음성처리 영역에서는 위치정보데이터의 음성인식 성능을 향상하는 데 직접적인 기여를 할 수 있고, 무엇보다도 음성학과 음운론 이론을 음성 인식 분야에 접목한 학제적 연구로서 그 의미가 있다고 할 수 있다.
