OD Matrix Estimation from Traffic Counts Using Genetic Algorithm (유전알고리즘을 이용한 링크관측교통량으로부터의 기종점 통행행렬 추정)

  • 전통적인 OD조사에 의한 OD추정의 여러 문제점들로 인해 링크관측교통량과 기존OD를 결합해 OD를 추정하고자 하는 연구들이 제시되고 있다. Yang(1995)은 일반화최소자승법을 풀기 위한 IEA와 SAB 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 그러나 두 알고리즘의 문제점은 첫째 실제 OD를 알기가 어렵기 때문에 기존 OD를 중요한 추정기준으로 설정한다는 것으로, 이러한 추정의 종속성으로 인해, 기존 OD와 실제 OD의 차이가 큰 경우 정확한 해를 도출하지 못한다. 두 번째 문제는 통행패턴 추정시 선형근사화를 가정하기 때문에 게임이론적 측면에서 전제로 설정한 완전한 Stackelberg 상황을 구현하지 못한다는 것이다. 이러한 문제점을 피하기 위해서는 기존 OD나 관측교통량의 오차에 일관적인 해도출 기법이 필요하다. OD추정 문제는 본질적으로 비선형이고 비볼록하여 전역해 탐색기법이 필요하기 때문에 전역최적화가 가능한 유전알고리즘을 이용한 OD추정모형(GAM)을 개발하였다. 사례네트워크 분석결과, GAM은 기존 OD의 오차에 대해 크게 종속적이지 않으며 OD구조가 변하는 경우에도 추정이 가능하여, 일반적으로 실제 OD를 알 수 없는(기존OD의 오차가 어느 정도인지를 알 수 없는) 도시부 네트워크에서 신뢰성있는 추정력을 보였다. 또한 기존 OD 추정모형은 비교적 용이하게 차종별로 관측할 수 있는 링크교통량을 차종구분 없이 단일차종으로 이용함으로써, 정보의 손실을 초래하여 결과적으로 모형의 추정력을 저하시켰다. 그렇지만 다차종 링크관측교통량으로부터 다차종 OD 추정연구는 거의 없었으며, 그 결과가 단일차종에 대한 추정결과와 어떻게 다른지에 대한 연구도 전무하였다. 본 연구에서는 유전알고리즘을 이용한 OD 추정모형을 다수단 OD 추정모형(GAMUC)으로 확대하였다. 사례 분석 결과 단일차종 OD추정기법은 심각한 추정오류를 범할 수 있으며, 그 적용성도 낮다는 것을 보였다. 다차종 OD 추정기법이 단일차종 OD 추정기법보다 양호한 추정력을 보였으며, 다차종 기법 중에서는 GAMUC가 IEAMUC보다 우수한 추정력을 보였다.

Development of Demand Prediction Model for Video Contents Using Digital Big Data (디지털 빅데이터를 이용한 영상컨텐츠 수요예측모형 개발)

  • Research on what factors affect the success of the movie market is very important for reducing risks in related industries and developing the movie industry. In this study, in order to find out the degree of correlation of independent variables that affect movie performance, a survey was conducted on film experts using the AHP method and the importance of each measurement factor was evaluated. In addition, we hypothesized that factors derived from big data related to search portals and SNS will affect the success of movies due to the increase in the spread and use of smart phones. And a prediction model that reflects both the expert survey information and big data mentioned above was proposed. In order to check the accuracy of the prediction of the proposed model, it was confirmed that it was improved (10.5%) compared to the existing model as a result of verification with real data.Therefore, it is judged that the proposed model will be helpful in decision-making of film production companies and distributors.

A statistical analysis of the fat mass repeated measures data using mixed model (혼합모형을 이용한 체지방 반복측정자료에 대한 통계적 분석)

  • Forty two female students whose fat mass ratio was over 30% were participated in the experiment of fat mass loss of two treatments for 8 weeks. They kept diary for foods they ate every day, took a picture of the foods, transmitted the picture to the experimenter by the camera phone. Among those, 28 students took the picture by regular camera phone (Treatment A), and the other students used smart phone (Treatment B). Fat mass weight and its related variables had been measured repeatedly four times at an interval of two weeks during 8 weeks. It was shown from mixed model analysis of repeated measurements data that AR(1) covariance matrix was selected as the optimal covariance matrix pattern. The correlation between two successive times is highly correlated as 0.838. Based upon the AR(1) covariance matrix structure, the students using smart phones were somewhat more effective in losing fat mass weight than the students using regular camera phones. The time effect was highly significant, but the treatment-time interaction effect was insignificant. The baseline effect and total cholesterol were found to be significant, but the calories with taking foods were somewhat significant, but the waist to hip ratio was found to be insignificant.

  • The study on traffic assignment is actively being performed which reflect networks status using time. Its background is increasing social needs to use traffic assignment models in not only hardware area of road network plan but also software area of traffic management or control. In addition, multi-class traffic assignment model is receiving study in order to fill a gap between theory and practice of traffic assignment model. This model is made up of two, one of which is multi-driver class and the other multi-vehicle class. The latter is the more realistic because it can be combined with dynamic model. On this background, this study is to build multidynamic model combining the above-mentioned two areas. This has been a theoretic pillar of ITS in which dynamic user equilibrium assignment model is now made an issue, therefore more realistic dynamic model is expected to be built by combining it with multi-class model. In case of multi-vehicle, FIFO would be violated which is necessary to build the dynamic assignment model. This means that it is impossible to build multi-vehicle dynamic model with the existing dynamic assignment modelling method built under the conditions of FIFO. This study builds dynamic network model which could relieve the FIFO conditions. At the same time, simulation method, one of the existing network loading method, is modified to be applied to this study. Also, as a solution(algorithm) area, time dependent shortest path algorithm which has been modified from existing shortest path algorithm and the existing MSA modified algorithm are built. The convergence of the algorithm is examined which is built by calculating dynamic user equilibrium solution adopting the model and algorithm and grid network.

Development of an Average Green Time Estimation Model for Proper Evaluation of Traffic Actuated Operation (감응식 신호운영의 평가를 위한 평균녹색시간 추정모형 개발)

  • The Highway Capacity Manual(HCM) suggests estimating the average green time for the performance evaluation of the traffic actuated operation and Provides the average green time estimation model. However, the model provides with much room for improvements. This document proposes a new analytical model that overcomes the shortage of the HCM model. The average green times estimated by the HCM model and the proposed model were compared. A computer program using the proposed model was coded for the study, while the ACT348 program was used for the implementation of the HCM model Through the comparison study based on the 1,196 hypothetical simulation data surrogating field data, it was found that the average green times estimated by the proposed model yields much nicer one-to-one linear relationship to the simulation results than the ones from the HCM model in both exclusive-only and shared-permitted cases. The R2 values of the proposed and the HCM models with those cases are 0.90 and 0.56, and 0.86 and 0.57, respectively.

  • Link attributes, such as speed, occupancy, and flow, are essential factors for transportation planning and operation. It is, therefore, one of the most important decision-making problems in intelligent transport system (ITS) to determine the optimal location of a sensor for collecting the information on link attributes. This paper aims to develop a model to determine the optimal location of a sensor to minimize the variability of traffic information on whole networks. To achieve this, a network sensor location model (NSLM) is developed to reflect discrete characteristics of data collection. The variability indices of traffic information are calculated based on the summation of diagonal elements of the variance-covariance matrix. To assess the applicability of the developed model, speed data collected from the dedicated short range communication (DSRC) systems were used in Daegu metropolitan area. The developed model in this study contributes to the enhancement of investment efficiency and the improvement of information accuracy in intelligent transport system (ITS).

Construction of an Estimation Model for Intersection Queue Length (교차로의 대기행렬 예측모형구축에 관한 연구)

  • In this research, a model was developed for estimating the queue length of vehicles, based on occupancy time of each vehicle collected by loop detectors which were setup at the upstream of urban street. The estimation model suggestes a method which minimizes architectural effects of the street, such as existence of pedestrian crossing, for future applications to the field. The estimation model suggested in this research was established based on real traffic data collected at up-stream detectors in Kangnam Subway station, Seoul, and the formula of the model is based on Multi-Polynomial equations. Consequence of the experiments showed that the model can adequately and in real-time mode measure length of the queue which were constructed at the 80 to 90 meters away from the upstream detectors. The estimation accuracy of the model was verified in statistical analysis conducted by regressing analysis and test results in real traffic situation.

  • 소수력은 온실가스 배출량이 적은 친환경 청정에너지원이면서 지역의 분산전원에 기여할 수 있는 유용한 자원으로 평가되고 있다. 이러한 여건은 소수력발전 사업이 전력의 smart grid 구축 효과로 인해 가장 큰 효율성을 달성할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 국내 소수력발전은 1500Mw의 부존량을 가진 것으로 평가되고 있으나 계절적 편중으로 인한 가동률 부족, 경제성 부족 등으로 활발한 보급이 이루어지지 않고 있다. 특히 신재생에너지 확대 전략에도 불구하고 지원금 등 경제적 인센티브 부족으로 인해 민간부문의 참여는 상당히 저조하다. 그럼에도 불구하고 수력에너지는 환경친화적이고 잠재성이 큰 신재생에너지로 온실가스 저감과 에너지 확보에 기여할 수 있다. 특히 수력에너지는 민간투자의 어려움이 존재하므로 정부의 장기적인 기술개발투자 및 효율성 확대 정책이 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 소수력 확대의 경제 환경적 효과를 평가해보기 위해 연산일반균형모형 (CGE :Computable General Equilibrium Model)을 구축한다. 본 연구는 다음과 같이 수행되었다. 첫째, 수력발전부문과 수도사업을 구분하고 사회회계행렬을 작성하였으며, 전력부문에서 수력발전을 포함한 다단계 생산구조를 가정하였다. 둘째, 일반균형모형 방정식 체계를 작성하고 모형의 파라미터 추정 등 보정(Calibration) 작업을 수행하였다. 셋째, 국가 중기 온실가스저감 시나리오를 적용한 전망을 수행하고 소수력 확대(투자지원) 시나리오를 구축한다. 본 연구는 저감수단으로 탄소세를 부과하였다. 끝으로, 소수력 발전 보급 확대의 경제적, 환경적 파급효과를 계산하였다. 분석결과, 소수력 발전 잠재 성장을 반영한 수력에너지 비중은 약 2020년에 약 4.5% 까지 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이로 인한 온실가스 저감 기여분은 약 3%에 이르는 것으로 계산 되었다. 또한 수도사업과 비에너지 제조업의 산업비중은 증가하였다. 이러한 결과는 소수력 발전 확대가 화석연료 대체를 통한 지속가능한 에너지 수요에 기여하고 지역개발과 물산업 발전 등 경제적 파급효과 등을 유발할 수 있음을 시사한다. 또한 본 연구에서 고려하지 못한 소수력 기술 개발은 에너지 대체 촉진으로 인한 온실가스 저감과 녹색성장에 기여할 것이다.

Application of Levenberg Marquardt Method for Calibration of Unsteady Friction Model for a Pipeline System (관수로 부정류 마찰항 보정을 위한 Levenberg Marquardt 방법의 적용연구)

  • In this study, a conventional pipeline unsteady friction model has been integrated into Levenberg Marquardt method to calibrate friction coefficient in a pipeline system. The method of characteristics has been employed as the modeling platform for the frequency dependant model of unsteady friction. In order to obtain Hessian and Jacobian matrix for optimization, the direct differentiation of pressure to friction factor was calculated and sensitivities to friction for heads and discharges were formulated for implementation to the integration constant in the characteristic method. Using a hypothetical simple pipeline system, time series of pressure, introduced by a sudden valve closure, were obtained for various Reynolds numbers. Convergency in fiction factors were evaluated both in steady and unsteady friction models. The comparison of calibration performance between the proposed method and genetic algorithm indicates that faster and stabler behaviour of Levenberg Marquardt method than those of evolutionary calibration.

  • Linear mixed models are commonly used in the clinical pharmaceutical studies to analyze repeated measures such as the crossover study data of bioequivalence studies. In these models, random effects describe the correlation between repeated outcomes and variance-covariance matrix explain within-subject variabilities. Bioequivalence analysis verifies whether a 90% confidence interval for geometric mean ratio of Cmax and AUC between reference drug and test drug is included in the bioequivalence margin [0.8, 1.25] performed using linear mixed models with period, sequence and treatment effects as fixed and sequence nested subject effects as random. A Levofloxacin study is referred to for an example of real data analysis.
