Effect of KORAIL Tour Conductors' Emotional Labor on Customer Orientation: Moderating Effect of Perceived Organizational Support (철도여행인솔자의 감정노동이 고객지향성에 미치는 영향 - 조직지원인식의 조절효과 -)

  • This study analyzes, based on survey of the behavior of 288 railroad tour conductors. how deep acting and surface acting, which were both classified as emotional labor, influence customer orientation. It also analyzes the moderating effect of POS (perceived organizational support) on emotional labor and customer orientation. The following are the summarized results of the analysis. First, railroad tour conductors' deep acting has a positive influence on customer orientation. And surface acting has a negative effect on it. Second, after the moderating effect of POS has been studied, it is found that POS does not appear to have a moderating effect on customer orientation of deep acting but does appear to have a moderating effect on customer orientation of surface acting. In conclusion, this study implies that it is important, to railroad tour conductors, that organizational level support enhance customer orientation; it is also important to manage railroad tour conductors' emotions in order to enhance customer orientation.

  • Behavioral studies of emotion recognition in autism spectrum disorders (ASD) have yielded mixed results. Most of the studies focused on emotion recognition abilities with regard to ASD using stimuli with unisensory modality, making it difficult to determine difficulties in real life emotion perception in ASD. Herein, we review the recent behavioral and cognitive neuroscience studies on emotion recognition functions in ASD, including both unisensory and multisensory emotional information, to elucidate the possible difficulties in emotion recognition in ASD. In our study, we discovered that people with ASD have problems in the process of integrating emotional information during emotion recognition tasks. The following four points are discussed: (1) The restrictions of previous studies, (2) deficits in emotion recognition in ASD especially in recognizing multisensory information, (3) possible compensation mechanisms for emotion recognition in ASD, and (4) the possible roles of attention and language functions in emotion recognition in ASD. The compensatory mechanisms proposed herein for ASD with regard to emotion recognition abilities could contribute to a therapeutic approach for improving emotion recognition functions in ASD.

  • The use of human actions as context for object class recognition is quite effective in enhancing the recognition performance despite the large variation in the appearance of objects. We propose an efficient method that integrates human action information into object class recognition using a Bayesian appraoch based on a simple probabilistic graph model. The experiment shows that by using human actions ac context information we can improve the performance of the object calss recognition from 8% to 28%.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate relationship between teacher's emotional intelligence, consciousness of professionalism, and strategies of problem behavior guidance of early childhood. Methods: The subjects in this study were 237 childcare center teachers in Seoul and Gyoungi Province in South Korea. Three different inventories were utilized. As for data analysis, the frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and Multiple Regressions were conducted through SPSS 21.0 program. Results: The findings of the study were discussed as follows. First, emotional intelligence of teacher had the relationship with strategies of problem behavior guidance of early childhood. Second, consciousness of professionalism of teacher had the relationship with strategies of problem behavior guidance of early childhood. Conclusion/Implications: First, The findings showed that as teachers had the high level of ability in recognizing and expressing their emotion preciously, so the elements triggering the situation of problem were identified and captured, and the ability of use of preventive strategies in advance increased.   • 최근 사회기반 시설물들의 대형화, 고밀도화가 됨에 따라 재해 재난대비에 대한 관심 또한 높아지고 있다. 특히, 화재는 우리 주변에서 지속적으로 발생하는 재난이다. 한편, 지진과 같은 경우에는 중소규모가 한반도내에서 빈번하게 발생하고 있지만 직접적으로 피해를 경험 한 적이 없어, 적극적으로 대비해야하는 재해로는 아직 인식하고 있지 못한다고 할 수 있다. 재난, 재해에 대한 연구는 과거의 피해를 기준으로 미래에 대한 대책을 해결책으로 제시하는 방식으로 많은 연구자들에 의해서 지속적으로 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 우리사회에 발생 가능한 재난에 대해서 서로 다른 인식 수준을 가지고 있는 지진과 화재의 재난에 대한 시민인식차이를 실증적으로 검토하였다. 화재 및 지진에 대한 설문조사를 실시하고 결과 분석을 통해 나타나는 재난시의 인간행동심리를 Facet이론을 이용하여 범위를 선정하고 분석하였다. 분석방법으로는 통합적 분석 방법으로 각 연령대별로 분류하여 분석하였다. 연령대별로 습득한 지식 및 교육환경 배경이 차이가 있을 것이라는 가정 아래 연령대별 분류를 하였다. 설문조사결과를 바탕으로 Facet이론에 근거하여 분석한 결과, 화재발생시의 통합적 분석의 경우는 [MATTER], [SPACE], [ENERGY]등이 다수 나타났고 지진 발생 시에는 통합적으로 [SPACE], [ENERGY]가 다수 나타났다. 따라서, 지진에 대한 국가적으로 교육시스템을 갖추고 개인적인 지진발생시 행동상황을 숙지하고 연습하는 것이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 지진과 화재시의 인간행동심리를 비교한 결과, 화재는 우리나라에서 가장 빈번하게 발생하는 재해이기 때문에 비교적 국가적으로나 개인적으로 대비를 하고 있다는 것을 실증적으로 나타내었다. 화재로 인한 재난은 국가적으로 끊임없이 교육(인식전환)을 실시하고 있음에도 불구하고 지속적으로 발생하고 있다. 하지만 지진과 비교해 인위적 과실로 인한 재난임에도 불구하고 사전에 화재발생시 대처하는 행동숙지로 인해 많은 인적 및 재산적 피해를 줄일 수 있다. 최근 우리나라는 지진에 대해서는 건축물의 붕괴로 인한 피해방지에 중점을 두고 건축물의 내진성능에 대한 평가가 점진적으로 추진되고 있다. 하지만, 지진발생시 이와 같은 현재 방재정책과 더불어 국민 스스로 지진에 대한 발생가능성 및 예상위험에 대한 인식수준을 향상시킴으로서 국가적 재난을 효과적으로 대처할 필요가 있음을 실증적으로 나타내었다.

Faculties' Perceptions on the Importance and Performance of Effective Teaching Behaviors (대학교수의 효과적인 교수행동에 대한 중요도 인식과 실천 역량 분석)

  • This study analyzed faculties' perceptions on the importance and performance of effective teaching behaviors. The effective teaching behaviors scale consisted of 40 items belonging to 8 factors. A survey was conducted with 86 faculties from 2 universities. It was found that the differences between the importance and performance levels of all items except for 'applying emphasis on important contents' were statistically significant. The scores of importance were higher than those of performance. The results of the IPA showed that 'keep up the good work' area included 19 items that those were high the scores of importance and performance. The 'concentrate here' area included 5 items that need to be improved for effective teaching. The first priority items needing to be improved were 1) Establishing instructional methods and strategies suitable for the objectives, 2) establishing clear objectives, appropriate examples and systematic classes, 3) providing questions, opportunities and appropriate feedback. We suggested that a faculty development program needs to be developed for effective teaching.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate how the cost perception and the cost attitude of nurses have effect on cost management behavior. Methods: Participants were 150 nurses who had worked for more than 1 year in general hospitals. Data were collected from November 16 to December 11, 2015, using self-recorded questionnaires. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression methods. Results: Cost management behavior was positively correlated with cost perception and cost attitude. Cost attitude was revealed as the variable having effect on cost management behavior. Positive cost attitude can induce desirable cost management. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop effective and systematic Cost Education Program for nurses. Our result is useful to develop cost Education program of clinical nurses, and can be expandable for a variety of fields in programs for nursing students, and nurse managers.

  • The purpose of this study examine to identify the mediating Organizational citizenship behavior in the relation Authentic leadership and Organizational support. Data were collected by self-report questionnaires targeting 229 caregiver in Daegu city and Gyeongsangbuk-do city. Data were analyzed with SPSS/PC ver. 21.0 programs. There were significantly positive correlations between toward the Organizational citizenship behavior, Authentic leadership and Organizational. As a result of analyzing the main factors the level of care performance for authentic leadership and Organizational support to be significant explanatory variables and this model's explanatory power was 50.0%. Therefore, it is necessary required to improve the Organizational support and leader's authentic leadership for the nursing work performance.

  • This study is to establish the effect of the call center counselors' personal characteristics and perceive organizational support(POS) on their organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior(OCB). through survey targeting 290 call center counselors in Seoul. Accordance with these conclusions, Self-esteem, Self-efficacy except Emotional Intelligence were positive(+) influence on Organizational Commitment. and Emotional Intelligence, Self-esteem, Self-efficacy were positive(+) influence on OCB. Also Self-esteem and Organizational Commitment, OCB were full mediation on POS And Self-efficacy and Organizational Commitment, OCB were part mediation on POS. This result implies call center needs the approach method and different perspectives to increase the degree of call center counselors' organizational commitment.

Multi-Region based Radial GCN algorithm for Human action Recognition (행동인식을 위한 다중 영역 기반 방사형 GCN 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, multi-region based Radial Graph Convolutional Network (MRGCN) algorithm which can perform end-to-end action recognition using the optical flow and gradient of input image is described. Because this method does not use information of skeleton that is difficult to acquire and complicated to estimate, it can be used in general CCTV environment in which only video camera is used. The novelty of MRGCN is that it expresses the optical flow and gradient of the input image as directional histograms and then converts it into six feature vectors to reduce the amount of computational load and uses a newly developed radial type network model to hierarchically propagate the deformation and shape change of the human body in spatio-temporal space. Another important feature is that the data input areas are arranged being overlapped each other, so that information is not spatially disconnected among input nodes. As a result of performing MRGCN's action recognition performance evaluation experiment for 30 actions, it was possible to obtain Top-1 accuracy of 84.78%, which is superior to the existing GCN-based action recognition method using skeleton data as an input.
