SNU Experience with ENDF Processing by NJOY

  • 최근 선진 원자력 개발국들이 새로운 평가 핵자료집들을 계속하여 공개하고 있다. 이 핵자료들을 노심 채석에 적용하기 위한 연구의 일환으로 최근에 발표된 ENDF/B-V1.2 평가 핵자료집을 이용하여 CASMO-3의 단면적 Data Library를 만들어 검증해 보았다. 평가 핵자료집의 개선 정도와 계산상으로 만들어진 Library와 실제 사용되는 Library의 차이를 알아보기 위하여 BNDF/B-IV도 같이 처리하여 검증하였다. 유효증배계수와 integral parameter들을 비교한 결과 ENDF/B-VI의 유용성과 일관성이 입증되었고, 단면적 Library의 수정 작업에 관한 연구의 필요성도 제기되었다.

  • 소난자 체외성숙에 있어 소 태아혈청 (fetal bovine serum: FBS) 첨가시 높은 성숙율을 보이며 핵 이식 후 배 발달율에 있어서도 높다. 하지만 배양액 내에 포함된 소 태아혈청은 수정란 이식 후 태아의 발육 중 및 태어난 직후에 발생되는 송아지에서 나타나는 몇몇 비정상적인 현상들의 원인인 것으로 보고되고 있다 (Walker 등, 1998). 본 실험은 성숙배양시 소 태아혈청과 이의 대체물질로서 BSA 또는 PVA 와 같은 macromolecules의 첨가가 소 난자의 성숙과 핵 이식 후 배 발달에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위하여 실시하였다.   • 돼지 체세포 핵이식에 있어서 체외발달률을 재고하기 위하여 공여세포의 종류, 활성화 방법, 배양조건 등이 체외발달에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. 도축장에서 채취한 난소에서 미성숙난자를 채취하여 NCSU-37 배양액에 10% pFF 와 0.6mM Cystein, 1mM dbcAMP, 0.1 IU/㎖ human menopausal gonadotrophin(hMG)에서 20시간 배양후 dbcAMP 와 hMG 가 없는 배양액에서 18-24 시간 추가배양 성숙 후 성숙된 난자를 핵이식의 수핵난자로 사용하였다. (중략)

  • Effects of fission neutron spectra in the reactor calculations have been analysed through applications of several cases of spectra in the criticality calculations of fast critical assemblies. They were the application of Maxwellian or Watt-Cranberg type formulae, of region dependent spectrum, of composition dependent spectrum, of fission transfer matrix, and the effects due to the selection of nuclear temperature in Maxwellian formula.

  • 온라인 게임에서 핵 프로그램을 탐지하는 방식 중 하나인 시그니처 탐지 방식의 문제점을 제시와 제시된 문제점을 보완하기 위한 발전된 시그니처 탐지 방식을 적용하므로 인하여 기존의 가지고 있던 문제를 개선할 수 있는 방법이다. 이 방식을 기존에 탐지하고 있는 방식과 병행할 경우 핵 프로그램을 수집해야하는 번거로움과 미 탐지로 인한 게임내의 핵 프로그램을 탐지하는데 일조할 것으로 보인다.

Studies on the nuclear cytology of Pyricularia oryzae CAV (도열병균의 핵학적 연구)

  • Results obtained from the observation of 1,000 matured resting conidia of Pyricularia oryzae CAV. were as fellows. The percentage of a condium conitaining was 95.5, while that of a multinucleate conidium was 4.5. Formation of the three-celled mature conidium containing a nucleus in each cell, which was derived from the immatured conidium, could be recognized. Chromosomes could be observed in the conidium when the nuclear division took place. The number of chromosomes was n=3, 4, 5 or 6 but rile majority was 5. The nucleus was moved into the germ-tube from the conidium by following ways: (a) a resting nucleus divided into two nuclei in the conidium and one of them was moved into the germ-tube. The other nucleus remained in the conidium (43 per cent): (b) a nucleus was moved into the germ-tube from the conidium without nuclear division (57 Per cent). The appressorium without a nucleus was abundantly observed when stain was made. However, tile number of a mononucleate appressorium was 476 out of 500 appressoria which had nuclear sap. On the ground of this experiment, we could support the conidium of blast fungus contained mononucleus and also homokaryon seemed to b: appealed on the conidia even though those were multilocular. As the results, it could be concluded that use of inoculum derived from single spore isolate was reasonable for any experiments in the rice blast fungus.

Cytogenetic Properties of Bovine Reconstituted Embryos by Cell Cycle-Controlled Nuclear Transfer (소 수정란의 세포주기조절 핵이식에 의한 재구축배의 세포학적 특성)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the cytogenetic properties, in vitro development, and their relationship in the bovine reconstituted embryos following cell cycle-controlled nuclear transfer. Sixteen-cell stage embryos were treated by nocodazole, and after release from nocodazole treatment, their blastomeres were separated and allowed to subsequent cleavage. Blastomeres within 1.5 h post cleavage(hpc) and at 3hpc were transferred to enucleated oocytes at MII-phase or S-phase. Donor nuclei transferred into M II-phase recipients underwent various nuclear remodeling, such as extrusion of a polar body(PB)-like structure, premature chromosome condensation(PCC) and chromatin modifications. These nuclear remodeling patterns varied by the time post cleavage of donor blastomeres. Developmental rate to the blastocyst stage differed with time post cleavage of donor blastomeres and existence of a PB-like structure. Whereas do-nor nuclei transferred into S-phase oocytes did not undergo PCC and other major modifications, and their developmental potentials less depended on the nuclei types. This result confirms that the nuclear remodeling type differs with donor and recipient cell cycle stage, which affect the development of reconstituted bovine embryos.

Comparison of Some Tissues in Diploid and Triploid Hybrid between Mud Loach, Misgurnus mizolepis and Cyprinid Loach, M. anguillicaudatus (미꾸라지, Misgurnus mizolepis와 미꾸리, M. anguillicaudatus간 잡종 및 잡종 3배체 일부 조직에서의 세포 및 핵 크기)

  • Diploid and triploid hybrid between female mud loach Misgurnus mizolepis and male cyprinid loach, M. andguillicaudatus were produced, using artificial propagation. The influence of hybridization and triploidization on characteristics of the some tissues of retina optic tectum and trunk kidney in loach was determined histologically. Diploid hybrid have almost size similarities in nucleus and the cell size of some tissues to both parents. In the triploid hybrid the nucleus and/or the cell size in erythrocyte, horizontal cell in inner nuclear layer of retina ganglion cell in ganglion cell layer of retina, neuronal cell in granular layer of optic tectum, and secondary proximal tubule cell of trunk kidney, are much larger than those of the corresponding cells in the diploid hybrid individuals. However, triploid hybrid showed fewer number of cells in outer nuclear layer in retina and nuclei in secondary proximal tubule of trunk kidney than in diploid hybrid. Results of this study suggest that some characteristics in the triploid hybrid exhibiting larger cell and nucleus size with fewer number of cell than diploid hybrid can be useful criteria for the distinction between diploid hybrid and triploid hybrid, and the ploidy level in loach.

  • Nuclear Transplantation between Rana pipiens and Rana dybowskii When diploid blastula nuclei of Rana pipiens are traraplanted into enucleated eggs of Rana dybowskii the resulting nucleocytoplasmic hybrids are lethal-those development were arrested around the stage of the dorsal lip formation For the improvement of developmental capacity, serial nuclear transplantation was carried out. Even though serial transplantation of 15 generations showed normal development in each generation until gastrula stage, there was no sign of fundamental improvement in development afterward. This results implied that up to gastrulation normal DNA replication and cell division can take place in foreign cytoplasm. Since chromosomal aberrations both in shape and number were usually observed, the nuclei must have been modifted while resided in the foreign cytoplasm. Those nuclei didn't participate in normal development and led the embryos to early death. Tissue graft experiment indicated that the abnormal behavior of this lethal nucleocytoplasmic hybrid is an inherent property which is not corrected by the contact with its own tissue.
