Medical libraries in Korea consume most of their budget and efforts of staffs for acquisition and administration of foreign medical journals. Annualy the rise in prices of the journals oppress the library budget. Because of these reasons, this paper studied and analyzed the possibility of cooperative acquisition of foreign medical journals between the medical libraries in Korea and several basic informations for cooperative acquisition by citation analysis method. The 5 source medical school journals were selected from our country's medical school journals: Seoul, Yonsei, Catholic, Chonnam, Kyungbook.

본 연구는 국내 마취통증의학분야의 핵심 학술잡지 4권을 선정하여 최근 5년(2007-2011)동안 발표된 논문에 대한 계량서지학적 분석을 하였다. 이를 위하여 마취통증의학분야의 핵심 학술잡지의 특성과 저자의 생산성, 핵심 주제어, 핵심주제어의 변화 등을 분석하였다. 그 결과 1년에 8.4편을 발표한 연구자가 가장 높은 생산성을 보였고, 핵심주제어는 마취제 종류와 마취방법, 그리고 이에 관련된 증상에 관한 것임을 알 수 있었다.

This study aims to review the socialist news magazines between 1925 and 1936 under the Japanese regime, then to analyze how they published and how they managed the branch. The socialist magazines appeared legally and officially right after the 3 1 movement when the ownership and publishing of newspapers and news magazines was partially allowed. However, there were many obstacles because the permission by the Japanese regime was a result of deceptive cultural policy. The Japanese government more sensitively responded to the socialists' related news stories rather than other types of publications. Due to over-censorship and financial difficulty, the life time of most socialists' news magazines was very short. However, these news magazines did play an important role to disseminate socialism. In doing so, because the news magazines were a part of social movements, the delivery network was also maintained based on social movements.

Information technology (IT) revolution rapidly advanced from the end of the 20th century has caused an extreme change in the publication market, which brought fierce struggle for existence. In this whirlpool, magazine, which is settling as a part of culture and as a center field of publication, presswork, is concentrating in making new determined position with comparatively liberal theme. So identity study that enables readers to remember a magazine more easily, will suggest a new direction of improvement as a culture business by inducing the brand-making of a magazine. This study is focused on the ability of configuration of its unique image of a magazine building an identity in the magazine design field. Each type of magazine has common characteristics but even though it is grouped into same type, it shows mobility on the relative importance of application according to the strategy of the magazine rather than matching perfectly to the type. The result is limited to the range of professional design magazine. However, through result-pursuing study procedure, it is anticipated of its gui dance of improvement of magazine design at large as well as professional design magazine by inquiring of consequence and utility of Magazine Identity in the digital age and clarifying the role of magazine design.

Research libraries have been facing serials crisis, that is the difficulties in providing information which caused by high and rapidly increasing cost of scientific journal subscriptions. This economic problem resulted in the imbalance between scholarly Publication and library resources. University libraries recognized that the commercialization of research information is at the core of the economic problem. This paper analyzes the trials and suggestions of faculty, universities, and professional societies in the United States to reforming scholarly communication system to take back intellectual property from commercial publishers and to improve scientific information exchange.

The purpose of this study is to verify the factors determining core journals in a field based upon the results of the citation analysis of the journals in the field of Korean History(KH). In order to verify the determinant factors, dividing the articles of the KH journals into their novelty and author's seniority, the following hypotheses were established. Hypothesis 1: When a KH journal publishes more articles on prehistoric and ancient eras than others, the journal will have higher chance to be included in the core journals. Hypothesis 2: When a KH journal publishes more articles by senior researchers than others, the journal will have higher chance to be included in the core journals. To achieve the purpose, the cited articles found in the two sample journals, namely, Backsan Hakbo and Hanguksa Yongu were analysed during the past 20 years from 1962 to 1981. Applying the Hirst's Discipline Impact Factor method to the the study, Historical Science Impact Factor(HSIF) on the samples itself and the historical era dealt with in the articles and the seniority of the authors during every five-year period. Magazines on specific genres have been operating collaborative, co-working and collective production systems for value maximization using an adaptation strategy on the dynamic, complex and uncertain value network of the magazine industry. The study used a case study method, and data collection was performed by observational research, depth interviews and survey research. The subjects of the study were 'magazine industry', 'magazine firm and community', and 'collaboration system within creative users'. According to the research results, the ecosystem of magazines on a specific genre has been evolving into an innovative value network system, which is combined with the magazine firm, community users and magazine platform. Second, the rapid introduction of smart device environment changes the way of the collaborating system, in which an action and interaction came out within the community, creative users and magazine firms. Third, the production agency shows strong action and interaction, which fits the magazine platform within the ecosystem of a magazine on a specific genre well. This model has a similar fractal structure to the game, publishing, drama, movie, comic, and animation contents industry, converging to an innovative technology-based-creative-industry.

The core competence of the library originates from the huge analog collections and the high-quality digital contents. And when the interaction between two entities strengthens, it will be able to secure the identity as the time capsule and the gateway of knowledge information. Based on these prerequisites, this research analyzed the spectra of digital collection development and presented the various strategies about license of the electronic journals, internet collection development, institutional repository. When the library does not concentrate in digital collection development, the position as information common will be under losing.
