Relations between Input Parameters and Residual Deformation in Line Heating process using Finite Element Analysis and Multi-Variate Analysis (유한요소해석과 다변수해석에 의한 선상가열 변형관계식)

  • Sequential process of roll-bending and line heating has been used to deform the curved hull-plates in shipyards. A growing interest for the mechanization or automation of the line heating process has been noted. Relations between heating conditions and residual deformations are important components needed for the mechanization. The residual deformations are investigated by using a thermal elastic-plastic analysis based on the finite element analysis(FEA). Several experiments are also performed to examine the validity of the results of FEA. The input parameters of line heating are suggested by dimensional analysis of line heating. The dimensional analysis can extract the primary input-parameters of line heating. The relations between the heating conditions and the residual deformations are set up by multi-variate analysis and multiple-regression method. This study suggests a method for the relation between the heating conditions and the deformations lying under the line heating.

Study on the Automatic Hull-form Optimal Design of Container Carriers Using HOTCONTAINER (HOTCONTAINER를 사용한 컨테이너선의 선형 최적 설계에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, the research contents and results related to the automation of the hull-form optimal design of container ships are summarized. A container ship is a ship that generally operates near Froude number of 0.26. To implement hull-form optimal design automation for ships operating at this speed, an optimization algorithm, a hull-form change algorithm, a ship performance prediction algorithm, an automation algorithm, and an iterative calculation technique were applied to develop a numerical analysis computer program that enables hull-form optimal design automation of the container ship, and it was named HOTCONTAINER. In this study, a sensitivity analysis algorithm was developed and applied to appropriately set design variables for hull-form optimal design. To understand the reliability and real ship applicability of the developed algorithm, a numerical analysis was performed on KCS(KRISO Container Ship), a container ship that has been studied in various ways worldwide. Consequently, the optimal ship was derived, and the wave resistance, wave pattern, and wave height of the target and optimal ship were compared. In conclusion, compared the target ship, the optimal ship a 47.63% decrease in wave resistance, and the displacement and wet surface area decreased by 0.50% and 0.39%, respectively.

  • 현대중공업은 1972년 설립이래 조선, 해양, 엔진, 프랜트, 중전기, 중장비 등의 부문에서 각종 선박, 초대형 해양구조물, 선박 및 발전용 엔진은 물론 각종 화학.공정 프랜트, 산업용기계, 공장자동화설비, 산업용 로봇, 대형 발전설비, 중장비 등을 생산하는 종합중공업 회사로 성장하여 왔다. 현대중공업은 이들 품목의 설계 및 생산기술수준 제고 및 구조안전성을 확보하기 위하여 구조해석분야에 많은 인원과 비용을 투자하였으며, 그 결과 회사의 대외 경쟁력 제고에 커다란 기여를 하였다. 본 고를 통하여 현대중고업의 구조해석 시스템에 대한 사용 현황과 향후 활용계획을 간략히 소개하고자 한다.

  • 한국건설기술연구원 구조연구실에서는 한국전력공사 토건연구실과 공동으로 N5200기종을 이용하여 철근콘크리트로 된 건축라멘구조의 해석 및 설계를 일관작업으로 시행할 수 있는 프로그램 KARST.1을 개발하였다. 본래 OA(Office Automation)용으로 개발된 N5200 기종은 현재 많은 분야에 보급, 사용되고 있는 IBM PC호환기종 보다 그 보급대수는 적지만 국내 여러기관에서 사용되고 있으며 계속적인 기계 성능의 향상과 다양한 Utility를 제공함으로써 적용분야를 증가시킬 수 있으리라 본다. 그러나 과학기술용으로 적용하기에는 아직 불편한 점이 많아 이 기종을 사용하여 구조물해석, 설계용으로 프로그램을 개발할 때 발생된 문제점과 KARST.1의 기능 및 특징을 간단히 소개하겠다.

Automation of Aerial Triangulation by Auto Dectection of Pass Points (접합점 자동선정에 의한 항공삼각측량의 자동화)

  • In this study, tie point observation in aerial triangulation was automated by the image processing methods. The technique includes boundary extraction and We matching processes. The procedures were applied to extract points of Interest and to find their conjugate points in the other images. The image coordinates of the identified points were then used to compute their absolute coordinates. An algorithm was developed in this study for the automation of observation in aerial triangulation, which is a manual process of selecting a tie point and recording the image coordinate of the selected point. The developed algorithm automates this process through the application of a mathematical operator to extract points of interest from an arbitrary image. The root m square error of image coordinates of the developed algorithm is $6.8{\mu}m$, which is close to that of the present analytical method. In a manual environment, the accuracy of the result of a photogrammetric process is heavily dependant on the level of skill and experience of the human operator. No such problem exists in an automated system. Also, as a result of the automated system, the time spent in the observation process could be reduced by a factor of 61.2%, thereby reducing the overall cost.

  • In general, several computational resources are required to perform multiple-loading transient response analyses. In this paper, we present the procedure for multiple-loading transient response analysis using the Krylov subspace model order reduction and Newmark's time integration scheme. We utilized ANSYS MAPDL, Python, and ANSYS ACT to automate the transient response analysis procedure in the ANSYS Workbench environment and studied several engineering numerical examples to demonstrate the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed approach.

  • As many researchers want to predict or assess more about wind condition and wind power generation, CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis method is very good way to do predict or assess wind condition and power generation. But CFD analysis is needed much knowledge of aerodynamics and physical fluid theory. In this paper, Auto-Wind CFD analysis program will be introduced. User does not need specific knowledge of CFD or fluid theory. This program just needs topographical data and wind data for initial condition. Then all of process is running automatically without any order of user. And this program gives for user to select and set initial condition for advanced solving CFD. At the last procedure of solving, Auto-Wind program shows analysis of topography and wind condition of target area. Moreover, Auto-Wind can predict wind power generation with calculation in the program. This Auto-Wind analysis program will be good tool for many wind power researchers in real field.

  • 인터넷 환경에서 발생되는 수많은 데이터를 지능적으로 처리할 수 있는 자동화된 분석 시스템의 필요성이 제기된다. 이러한 시스템의 데이터 분석은 크게 지도 학습과 자율 학습으로 나된다. 본 논문에서는 특히 자율학습 군집화에 대한 자동화된 시스템으로서 지능화된 데이터 마이닝 에이전트를 제안한다. 군집화 과정에서는 데이터를 분석하는 분석가가 군집화의 방법과 결과 해석에 실시간으로 관여하기 어렵기 때문에 이러한 작업을 담당하는 지능화된 에이전트가 자동화된 군집화를 담당하면 효과적인 군집화 전략이 될 수 있다. 본 논문의 자동 군집화를 위한 지능화된 데이터 마이닝 에이전트 시스템은 군집화 수행 에이전트와 군집화 성능 평가 에이전트로 구성된 다중 에이전트로서 두 개의 에이전트가 서로 정보를 교환하면서 최적의 군집화를 수행한다. UCI Machine Repository 데이터를 이용한 실험을 통해 제안 시스템의 성능 평가를 수행하였다.

Development of a tool to automate finite element analysis of a spindle system of machine tools (공작기계 주축 시스템의 유한요소해석 자동화를 위한 툴 개발)

  • A tool was developed in this research for automation of one-dimensional finite element analysis (1D FEA) for design of a machine tool spindle system composed mainly of a shaft and bearings. As it is based on object-oriented programing, it uses the objects of a CAD system. It requires minimum data to be input to define the spindle system such as shaft cross-sections and bearing stiffness. Then, it automatically generates the geometric model based on the data and then, converts it into the FE model of 1D beams and springs. The graphic user interfaces developed allow a user to interact with the tool. This tool can be applied to identification of a near optimal design of the spindle system in minimum time and efforts by automating the FEA process with numerous design changes.
