Ocean Surface Winds Over the Seas Around Korea Measured by the NSCAT(NASA Scatterometer) (NSCAT (NASA Scatterometer)에 의한 한국근해의 해상풍)

  • The NSCAT(NASA Scatterometer) carried by the japanese Advanced Earth Observing Satellite(ADEOS) was the first high resolution(25 km) device for the direct wind measurement over the ocean. Even it was ceased to operate in lune of 1977 because of the power failure, it gave the first opportunity to the marine meteorologists to study the direct measured ocean wind during its 9 months of operation, especially around Korea. This study is to show monthly mean ocean wind and wind stress curl fields around Korea from January, 1997 to June, 1997. Mean ocean winds in January are predominantly northwesterly and the strongest wind(12 m/s) is found near Vladivostok. The winds in the western East Sea are strongly inf1uenced by the mountain range in Korea and these topographically influenced winds make about five times larger wind stress curl fields than previous estimates based on the weather maps. The calculation of Sverdrup transport in the East Sea shows the possibility of the directional change of the East Korean Cold Current from southward to northward direction caused by the winter wind. The downwelling area near North Korea has maximum estimated speed of 45 m in january and this wind induced downwelling makes good condition for the formation of Intermediate East Sea Water together with vigorous mixing by the strong wind.

A Study on Navigational Safety of Towing-barge on Gwangyang Hysco Temporary Passage (광양항 하이스코 임시항로 출입 예부선의 안전운항에 관한 연구)

  • In Gwangyang port, huge reclaiming work and developing harbor facilities are underway to built industrial complexes. So it is estimated that towing barges will increase and make overtaking, head-on, crossing situations with a lot of cargo vessels in narrow passages. And it is possible to cause severe marine accidents inside of the harbor. This paper has a purpose to produce some policies making navigational safety of towing-barge on Gwangyang Hysco temporary passage. So it is considered how the change of marine traffic capacity and the risk factors in passage navigation influence to towing-barge navigation. And also the questionnaire survey of pilots and VTS operator was conducted to find out what they think about the navigational safety of towing-barge incoming and outgoing in No.1 Yulchon industrial complexes.

  • Recently, South korea is driving forward the strategy concerning of the logistics center of northeast asia aggressively on the purpose of promoting Busan port & Gwangyang port to the hub-port of northeast asia, In that situation, it is significant that the meaning, construction connecting between south and north railway. Namely, That is the reason why Busan port is satisfied with the combined transport system of not only marine transportation but also railway transportation completely, However, the research and policy is only focused on the connection of north-south railway so far. The ability of Buans railway equipment as the actual role of origin-destination point of TKR(Trans Korean Railway), was not reviewed. Therefore, this research is shown the problem and reality of the railway transport concerning the centralization of Busan port, and the capacity of Busan port railway facility regarding the increase of future container quantity is reviewed and analyzed Moreover, the object, shown the importance of facility expansion such as Gungbu Trans Express between Daegu and Busan and the improvement scheme for railway transportation activation through the analysis of society cost and the logistics cost of the ability of railway facility, is set up.

  • The steel industry, as the national representative strategic industry of our country, has played the motive power for the economic growth of Korea in 1970s as the positive support of the government and the management endeavor of the private were harmonized. However, in case of our country, we have mostly relied on import of the raw materials for the steel industry, and as the weight of the imported raw materials is heavy, the steel industry is the industry whose transport burden is big as it is called 'transport industry'. So, the transport rationalization will be the important task of the steel industry. This study has analyzed the economic efficiency per the transport route (container ship vs bulk ship) of the sea transport related to import/export of the steel scrap on the level acquiring the stable supply of the steel scrap. For this, this study firstly researched the status of domestic/foreign steel industry. And analyzed the world crude steel production volume, steel scrap consumption volume and world steel scrap trading structure. Also, in order to compare the transport logistics expenses between two transport devices, namely, container ship and bulk ship, this study calculated the logistics expenses per ton by using the traffic hours and traffic expenses items as the imported/exported scrap freights of 'D' company.

대형선박의 항내조종 실무에 관한 연구

  • 해상물류는 대형 선박일수록 톤당 수송비가 절감되므로 선박의 대형화 트렌드는 불가피한 반면 기존 항구의 항로와 부두의 확장은 현실적으로 어려울 뿐만 아니라 출입항 선박의 수가 증가하여 항로와 항내 조종구역이 상대적으로 좁아지는 효과가 빠르게 진행되고 있다. 선박의 항내조종 안전을 위한 연구가 필요한 바 선박조종의 현장경험을 정리한 비교지침을 가지는 것이 합리적이다. 항행중인 전후 선박간의 합리적인 안전거리, 부두 설계기준 초과선박의 접안시 운동량의 안전범위와 감소방안, 적정예선과 예선의 효과적인 사용방안, 부두앞 조종박지에서 선회권의 축소방안, 극저속에서의 조종성 확보방안, 안전한 자연감속의 범위와 급감속 방안, 비상시의 안전대책을 정리하고 다른 현장조선의 실무에 비교지침이 되고자 함이 본 연구의 목적이다.

  • Containerization of cargo transportation has been norm in the word wide maritime services, but containerized trades are typically unbalanced in terms of the number of inbound and outbound containers. Therefore it is critical for shipping companies to find operating policy such as the repositioning of empty containers or replenishing of short-term leasing containers from leasing companies to satisfy the freighter's demands of containers. This paper develops a simulation model using ARENA to establish shipping company's operational policy to relocate and replenish empty containers. Furthermore, this study proposes simple and heuristic empty container repositioning rules to minimize the relevant cost in terms of leasing, repositioning, and inventory holding costs.

  • 항공기가 지면 혹은 해면 위를 낮게 비행할 때 양력이 증가하고 항력이 감소하는 이른바 해면 효과(ground effect)가 발생하게 된다. 위그선 (WIG)선은 이러한 해면 효과를 이용한 선박으로 시속 100~500km의 속도 범위에서 해면 위를 낮게 비행하는 선박을 뜻하며 차세대 초고속 해상 수송수단으로 떠오르고 있다. 본 연구에서는 해면효과로 인한 2차원 위그선 날개 주위의 양항력 변화를 알아보기 위하여 유한체적법 기반의 EDISON-CFD를 사용하였다. 위그선 날개 주위의 유동은 날개와 해면사이의 거리에 영향을 받으므로 날개와 해면사이의 거리에 따른 계산 영역과 격자를 각각 생성 하였다. 본 연구를 통해 날개와 해면 사이의 거리가 가까워 질수록 해면효과에 의하여 위그선 날개의 양력이 증가하였고 항력은 감소되는 결과를 확인할 수 있었다.

워게임 모형의 C41 기능통합 및 연동화 시뮬레이션 기법

  • 최근 선진국들은 신규 워게임모형 개발시 장차전 개념을 반영하기 위하여 미래전자의 주요기능인 C4ISR 및 객체지향 기법을 적용하려고 노력하고 있다. 이러한 워게임 모형들은 현실과 같은 가상환경에서 합동작전을 모의할 수 있으며 전략, 작전 및 전술 수준을 모두 고려할 수 있고 지상전, 공중전, 해상전, 미사일전, 정보전 등 현대 전투개념을 모두 반영할 수 있도록 초대형 시뮬레이션 시스템으로 발전되고 있다. 본 고에서는 C4I 기능통합 및 연동화 모의 논리중에서 전략기동, 전술기동, 교전평가, 전략수송, 표적탐색, 미사일 판정을 위한 모의 기법과 초대형 시뮬레이션 시스템의 자료/명령 전달 구조 및 하드웨어/소프트웨어 사양, 구성 모듈등을 분석한다. 특히 현재 미 합참에서 개발중인 JWARS모형의 주요 객체들인 전투공간개체(BSE: Battle Space Entity), 아크-노드 네트워크, 화력 집중점(FCPs: Fire Concentration Points) 등을 살펴보고 현대전의 가장 큰 특징인 C4ISR/(Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) 분야에서 표적탐지, 통신, 정보 모의 기법을 분석함으로써, 향후 한국적 여건에 적합한 분석모형 개발 방향을 제시하고자 한다.

An Analysis on the Wartime Sealift Operation Capability of Korea (한국의 전시 해상수송능력 분석)

  • This study focuses primarily on the construction of the wartime sealift operation model from US to Korea. There are some uncertainties in the process of sealift operation such as the procurement rate of materiel in US, the distribution of KFS on four initial position locations at the start of the activation, and the number of ports and berths in the SPOES and SPODS. The sealift capability, based on the allocation of sealift assets such as the number of vessels, berths, and ports, is evaluated through simulation. The simulation is executed with a baseline wartime scenario and then the results are analyzed through a sensitivity analysis. The military planner may use of this model as a standard for establishing effective and concrete sealift operation plan in the near future.

소음저감형 12인승 로터추진식 비미니탑 에어보트 개발

  • 에어보트(Air boat)는, 판옥선처럼 선체 밑바닥이 편평한 형태로 되어있어 물위는 물론 일반 선박이 갈 수 없는 얕은 수면, 개펄, 빙상, 늪지수풀 위를 달릴 수 있는 모터보트의 한 종류이다. 선체상부 뒤쪽에 장착된 로터의 회전에 의한 풍력으로 추진되며, 로터 바로 뒤에 방향키가 있다. 선체 재질로는 스틸, FRP가 주로 사용되고 있으며 최근 알루미늄, 탄소섬유의 적용이 늘어나고 있다. 수상크루징, 낚시, 스쿠버 등에 활용되며, 선저의 독특한 형상으로 인해 군사용, 인명구조용, 수산물수송용 등으로도 사용된다. 이 연구에서는 12인승 비미니탑 에어보트를 설계, 제작하고 해상 시운전을 실시하였다. 또한 소음저감을 위해 머플러를 설계 제작하고, 35노트에서 75~78dB 수준으로 성능을 검증하였다.
