WAVE 적용 중소형 선박 충돌예방 시스템 개발을 위한 사용자 요구분석 기초연구

  • 해양안전심판원의 해양사고 통계자료에 따르면 기관손상 등을 제외한 해양사고 중 충돌사고의 비중은 가장 높고, 대부분의 충돌사고는 경계소흘 등 운항과실이 약 90%를 차지한다. 본 연구에서는 운항자의 항행 안전을 지원하고자 육상 무선 통신기술을 이용하여 중소형 선박의 충돌예방 시스템을 최종적으로 개발하기 위해 먼저 소형어선(30톤미만) 운항자의 요구분석을 수행하였다. 분석을 통해 충돌회피거리, 당직자 배치, 긴급피항시 필요시간, 충돌 및 경보시스템 개발에 필요한 사항 등을 도출하였다. 향후 이를 바탕으로 해상에서의 선박충돌 예방을 위한 신뢰성 높은 충돌경보 알고리즘을 개발 적용하는 등 사용자 편의적인 충돌경보 시스템을 개발하고자 한다.

Measurement Algorithm of Vehicle Speed Using Real-Time Image Processing (영상의 실시간 처리에 의한 차량 속도의 계측 알고리즘)

  • These studies developed system as well as its algorithm which can measure traffic flow and vehicle speed on the highway as well as road by using industrial television(ITV) system. This algorithm used the real time processing of dynamic images. The processing algorithm of dynamic images is developed and proved its validity by frame grabber. Frame grabber can process the information of a small number of sample points only instead of the whole pixel of the images. In the techniques of this algorithm, we made approximate contour of vehicle by allocating sampling points in cross-direction of image, and recognized top of contour of vehicle. Applying these technique, we measured the number of passing vehicles of one lane as well as multilane. Speed of each vehicle is measured by computing the time difference between a pair of sample points on two sample points lines.

  • This paper introduces the time-misalignment error between multiple range measurements acquired by an onboard distance measuring equipment (DME) interrogator and proposes an efficient position determination method that can mitigate the negative effects of the time-misalignment error. The introduced time-misalignment error does not occur in conventional utilization of DME combined with VHF omnidirectional range (VOR). The proposed position determination method projects all the DME range measurements acquired irregularly during an interval to the same time instance where the aircraft position is determined. By the simulation utilizing a representative aircraft trajectory, it is shown that it is possible to estimate the horizontal position accurately without any changes of ground DME facilities.

  • Genetic Algorithms are robust search and optimization techniques but have some problems such as premature convergence and convergence to local extremum. As population diversity converges to low value, the search ability decreases and converges to local extremum but population diversity converges to high value, then the search ability increases and converges to global optimum or genetic algorithm may diverge. To guarantee that genetic algorithms converge to the global optima, the genetic operators should be chosen properly. In this paper, we propose the genetic operators with the hybrid function of the average Hamming distance and the fitness value to maintain the diversity of the GA's population for escaping from the premature convergence. Results of simulation studies verified the effects of the mutation operator for maintaining diversity and the other operators for improving convergence properties as well as the feasibility of using proposed genetic operators on convergence properties to avoid premature convergence and convergence to local extremum.

3D Image Mergence using Weighted Bipartite Matching Method based on Minimum Distance (최소 거리 기반 가중치 이분 분할 매칭 방법을 이용한 3차원 영상 정합)

  • In this paper, to merge whole 3D information of an occluded body from view point, the new image merging algorithm is introduced after obtaining images of body on the turn table from 4 directions. The two images represented by polygon meshes are merged using weight bipartite matching method with different weights according to coordinates and axes based on minimum distance since two images merged don't present abrupt variation of 3D coordinates and scan direction is one direction. To obtain entire 3D information of body, these steps are repeated 3 times since the obtained images are 4. This proposed method has advantage 200 - 300% searching time reduction rather than conventional branch and bound, dynamic programming, and hungarian method though the matching accuracy rate is a little bit less than these methods.

  • In this study, we designed and implemented testbed for localization algorithm by using a area reduction method in outdoor environment. The proposed algorithm used 3 steps of area reduction method, which estimated blind nodes position. Also, we have experimented with using a Zigbee module for 5 fixed reference nodes and 4 blind nodes in sensor field of $60m{\times}23m$. The results show that our algorithm is improved the localization accuracy even at the number of ref. node is fixed and the number of blind node is increased. In future research, we will be adding the function of seamless localization in indoor and NLOS(non-line of sight) environment.

  • Passive sensors such as Laser Range Finder(LRF) and Forward Looking Infrared(FLIR) camera frequently used for tracking aircraft landing produce the measurements of elevation angle contaminated by large noise due to the exhaust plume disturbance. This results in poor tracking performance if the extended Kalman filter is used for estimation of the range and elevation which are corrupted by the non-Gaussian noise such as plume disturbance. In this paper, an adaptive estimation filter and the extended Kalman filter is combined to produce a combination-type filter. In this approach the adaptive filter is used for the plume-type disturbance noise and the extended Kalman filter is utilized for the measurement of Gaussian type. The proposed combination filter is effective for the trajectory estimation of landing aircraft under the influence of unknown bias and numerical simulations illustrate the performance of the proposed filter.

  • In this paper, we investigated the degree of compensation for WDM channel signal distortion due to chromatic dispersion, self phase modulation (SPM) and cross phase modulation (XPM) as a function of transmission length using mid-span spectral inversion (MSSI) compensation method. The considered system is $3{\times}40$ Gbps intensity modulation direct detection (IM/DD) WDM transmission system. This system has highly nonlinear dispersion shifted fiber (HNL-DSF) as a nonlinear medium in optical phase conjugator (OPC). We confirmed that the transmission length is more increased by applying MSSI to distorted signal due to chromatic dispersion, SPM and XPM as dispersion coefficient of fiber becomes higher. And the compensation degree of distorted WDM channels due to chromatic dispersion, SPM and XPM becomes better stable as dispersion coefficient of fiber becomes higher.

  • In recent years, owing to the growing user demand for the two-way internet service based on the move global broadband communications, a new type of satellite terminal has developed, known as earth station in motion (ESIM). This service was required by Resolution 158 (WRC-15) to study on the coexistence with the co-primary fixed service (FS) in 27.5-29.5 GHz as a FSS uplink. In this paper, four scenarios was introduced to account for the antenna pointing error and the azimuth for an analysis on the sharing between ESIM and FS. From analysis results, the required separation distance between two systems should be about 32~52 km according to the elevation angles of $20^{\circ}{\sim}40^{\circ}$ using thresholds of 5% and 10% outage probability. Therefore, it is necessary to control the azimuth angle due to a moving terminal as well as the pointing error of ESIM to minimize the required separation distance and to protect the co-primary FS.

Development of LPWA based Bus Entry Notification Systems for Smartphone Loss Prevention at Bus Stop Charging Stand (버스정류소 스마트폰 충전대에서 스마트폰의 분실 방지를 위한 LPWA 기반 버스 진입 알림 시스템 개발)

  • Recently, the solar module for charging internet devices is installed in crowded areas to offers services so that people can charge their smartphones or tablets. But this charging module can not be linked with the information related to a bus approach so people are subject to let their belongings such as smartphone, tablet pc at the bus stop while they are still charging it. This paper proposes a system to inform the smart phone when the bus is accessed by using the LPWA technology and BLE technology to resolve such under-failures. This experimental result showed that the power usage of LPWA based bus entry systems is an average of X, confirming that the long period usage of low-power can be possible for low power consumption in this results, enabling information on the bus to be transmitted to smart phones using Advertising mode of BLE.
