An Empirical Study on the Perception of Port Service Quality - Primarily on SERVQUAL Model In Container Terminal - (항만 서비스품질 지각에 관한 연구 - 컨테이너항만의 SERVQUAL 적용을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the nature of the relationship between several factors representing perceived port service quality and the adaptability to the marketing strategy of container terminal. An empirical study was carried out to examine not only the determinants of port service quality using PZB's SERVQUAL model but also its implications to the service marketing strategy. The data investigating the determinants of port service quality were collected from 136 managers from shipping companies by the use of questionnaire method. Factor analysis and t-test were carried out to analyze the data. The results of this study were as follows ; First, Shipping companies perceive the port service quality on two the dimensions of personnel and material aspects. Second, Shipping companies put more emphasis on the reliance of port service quality even though the port authority offers good facilities and materials as parts of port shipping quality. Third, There is a significant relationship between the purchase intention and the customer satisfaction. These findings help not only to formulate service marketing strategy based on service quality but also to be a concept tool to enhance port service quality.

  • The concept of Container Terminal Service has been used in respect to port service until now. There is no necessity to distinguish container terminal service by concept or property. The purpose of this study is to develop the most appropriate Service Quality in the container terminal through empirical analysis such as existing theoretical studies, expertise survey and SAS program. It is necessary to show the way of evaluating Container Terminal Service's importance and Service Quality. This study intends to understand overall satisfaction survey by Container Terminal Service's evaluation through Regression Analysis where customer satisfaction will be the dependant variable.

  • 위성항법중앙사무소는 다수의 DGNSS 기준국을 운영하고 있으며, 이 중 일부 기준국은 타 기준국에 비해 TEQC 품질평가 결과가 저조하다. 이에 이 연구는 TEQC 품질평가가 상대적으로 불량한 충주기준국을 대상으로 비교실험을 수행한다. 이전에 다른 관측장비를 이용하여 수행한 동시 관측에서는 TEQC 품질평가가 다른 기준국과 유사한 수준으로 나타나 지형이나 전파방해 등과 같은 주변 환경적인 요인은 아닌 것으로 확인하였다. 이번 충주비교실험은 기존 설치된 관측장비의 이상유무를 고려하여 크게 세 부분으로 나누어 진행한다. 안테나 이상판단은 기존 관측기기에 다른 기종의 안테나로 교체하여 확인하고, 수신기 이상 유무는 분배기를 이용하여 두 수신기에 동시 관측값을 기록하여 판단한다. 마지막으로 케이블의 경우, 상위 두 실험을 통해 수집된 관측자료의 품질평가를 통해 확인 가능하다. 이 연구를 통하여 TEQC 품질평가 저하요인을 확인하고 개선방안을 제시하여 양질의 DGNSS 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • 수집된 데이터의 품질을 진단하고 개선하는 것은 품질 관리 측면에 있어 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 항로표지 수집정보의 품질을 개선하기 위해 새로운 알고리즘을 개발하고 이를 시험하는 방안에 대해 분석하였다. 개발된 알고리즘은 기존의 알고리즘보다 더욱 정확하고 신뢰성이 높으며, 항로표지 수집정보의 오류율을 크게 감소시킨다. 이에 따라, 개발된 알고리즘을 적용함으로써 항로표지 수집정보의 품질을 향상시킬 수 있으며, 해상 안전성을 높이는 데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

  • This article aims to reveal the relative influences to the Brand Power and Performance of Factors that comprise the port brand assets in order to control and manage the ports. And also this Paper want to suggest the useful strategies and implications for the improvement of Brand Power by comparing the level of brand competitiveness of Incheon Port with those of other Korean ports that are in competitive relation. In this research we can find out that the components of port brand asset are awareness level, image, service quality, and satisfaction of relation. And among those 4 factors, recognition level and satisfaction of relation are very significant relation factors for the loyalty in Incheon Port. In comparison study between Incheon and Pyungtack Ports, satisfaction of relation is revealed as especially significant factor for the customers that show highly effective management performances and we can find that, in Busan Port, image and service quality are significant as well.

  • In recent years, the pileup of world ports is deepening as time goes by due to China effect and continuous increase of world trade volume. The shipping companies try to reduce their shipping cost by using mega vessels in the ports. Shipping companies consider most of the ships turnaround time as a critical factor when selecting a calling port for reducing cost. This paper will suggest how we can guarantee terminal QoS like ship waiting time ratio and ship residing time applying RFID(Radio Frequence IDentification) technology, raising up rapidly as a fundamental solution of new growing industry to port information system. Also, lead time of whole port logistics can be decreased for reduction of loading & discharging time and result from productivity improvement of Twin-lift G/C(Gantry Crane} as applying RFID technology to terminal operation. The purpose of this paper suggests that the new business model of U-Port which port QoS can be guaranteed using RFID based RTLS technology.

  • As the competition among the ports is extreme, the purpose of this study which intendsto keep sustainable competitive advantage in Busan Container Terminals through the quality management of port service is shown as the followings. First, the common factor of quality management activities In the part of domestic container port is to be analysed. secondly, the efforts for enhancing the standard of quality management is to be confirmed lastly the relationship of cause-effect among the source of quality management, quality management activities and quality management is to be clarified. An empirical study was carried out to examine how Busan Container Terminals view quality management activities by the provision of statistical evidence showing the efforts to enhance the standard of quality management, common factors of quality management activities and causal relationship among these factors. The data investigating the quality management for Busan Container Terminals were collected from 170 persons in charge of quality management for port services in Busan Container Terminals the use of questionnaire method and personal interviews. The Cronbach's $\alpha$ coefficient and factor analysis were used to analyze the reliability and the propriety of measured variables. Furthermore SEM method using AMOS 4.0 was used to analyze the cause-effect relationship among the source. activities and accomplishments of quality management representing the core concept of quality management system. The importance of this study is placed in the description of the theoretical and general system on the quality management when the domestic container terminals have activated to promote the quality management, and in suggesting the actual problem and settlement method which are directly helpful to the field, and It can be indicated as having its meaning on future research obect.

  • The advancement of the information technology provides a wide range of corporate to cope with new business environments that are different in size, life and operation conditions. The Research methodology used in this study is Technology Acceptance Model. The Study Method are mainly survey and questionnaire. The major result of article can be summarized. Its are as the follows: This paper ware investigated the determinants of 'port service quality', 'perceived usefulness', 'perceived ease of use', 'utilization intention', 'practice use'. There are 400 sended samples and 150 returns, 173 of them are analyzed on a port utilization using TAM model. 1. The Port service quality are found to have a positive effect to 'perceived usefulness', 'perceived ease of use', 'utilization intention' 2. The perceived ease of use are found to have a positive effect to 'perceived usefulness', 'utilization intention' 3. The perceived usefulness is found to be positively related to 'utilization intention' 4. The utilization intention is found to have a positive effect to ''practice use' we hove to provide useful contribution to increase the Korea ports' competitiveness in introduction of port information system. In addition, in order to port development offer some insight in further research.

컨테이너 터미널의 내륙운송 효율화를 위한 플랫폼 개발 모델 구축

  • 4차 산업혁명의 가속화에 따라 해운 항만 산업 분야 또한 정보적 측면에서 빅 데이터에 대한 업종별 통합과 공유를 통해 연계 산업 간 산업활동 효율화를 위한 노력이 요구된다. 현재 물류 분야에 다양한 플랫폼들이 도입되고 있지만 대부분 화물운송업 또는 창고 중개업 분야에 편중되어 있다. 항만산업의 경우 코로나 펜데믹 이후 발생한 컨테이너 반입 제한 및 장치율 증가 등에 따라 운송사와 컨테이너터미널 간 갈등이 지속적으로 유발되는 상황이 발생되었다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 플랫폼을 활용한 컨테이너터미널과 운송사 간 플랫폼 개발의 필요성을 인지하고 상호 기업 간 연계 효율성을 높일 수 있는 방안을 모색하였으며 산업 관계자인 컨테이너터미널 운영사, 운송사, 포워더 업종 종사자들을 대상으로 설문지 기반 실증 분석을 수행하였다. 결과적으로 EFA를 통해 추출된 14가지 요인으로 IPA 분석을 수행한 결과 1사분면(사용 용이성, 보안성, 정보 정확성, 정보 적시성, 차량 반출/반입정보, 공컨테이너 반입/반출 정보, 풀컨테이너 반입/반출정보)으로 품질에 대한 지속적인 개선이 수행되어야 하며 2사분면(APP 시스템 품질)에 대한 고려가 종합적으로 수행되어야 함이 도출되었다. 또한, 플랫폼 개발의 주체와 이용자의 참여 유도가 필요하며 상호 이해관계자 간 효율적인 연계와 효율화를 위한 인식 구조 개선이 필요하다고 나타났다. 연구결과는 향후 컨테이너터미널과 내륙운송의 효율적인 연계를 위한 플랫폼 구축에 중대한 시사점을 제공한다.

  • 이 연구에서는 국토해양부 해양교통시설과 위성항법중앙사무소가 운영하고 있는 DGNSS 기준국의 신호수신환경을 파악하기 위해 관측자료의 TEQC 품질평가와 현장조사를 병행하였다. TEQC는 GPS 수신기로 관측한 원시자료를 RINEX형식으로 변환 편집하고, 관측자료의 품질을 점검하는데 이용하는 GPS 전처리 소프트웨어이다. TEQC 품질점검 기능을 통해 GPS 관측자료의 데이터수신율, L1과 L2 신호의 의사거리 다중경로오차, 사이클슬립에 관한 지수를 산출하였고, 이를 현장조사결과와 상호 비교하였다. 장기 관측 자료의 TEQC 품질지수 결과를 통하여 시간변화에 따른 관측소의 주변환경 및 장비변화 시점을 간접적으로 확인하였다.
