리더십과 동태적 역량이 디지털 전환을 매개로 기업성과에 미치는 영향 - 항공우주 및 방위산업을 중심으로 - (The Impact of Leadership and Dynamic Capabilities on Firm Performance, Mediated by Digital Transformation - Aerospace & Defense Industry -)

  • In the recent context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, there is growing interest in digital transformation and smart factory as a focal point. But, the Aerospace and Defense (A&D) sector has seen limited research on digital transformation, primarily concentrating on digitally-driven areas. The study validates hypotheses pertaining to the factors that facilitate successful digital transformation within the A&D sector and the influence of digital leadership and dynamic capabilities, employing statistical tools like SPSS and AMOS. The comprehensive analysis reveals that, similar to manufacturing industries, digital leadership in A&D companies exerts an influence on successful digital transformation through dynamic capabilities. Furthermore, digital transformation within the A&D sector has a positive impact on firm performance. This paper offers empirical insights into digital transformation within the A&D sector, shedding light on how successful digital transformation can be achieved within the domestic A&D industry.

제주국제공항 활주로에 양배풍을 유발하는 기압 패턴에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Pressure Patterns that Causes Bidirectional Tailwind on the Runway of Jeju International Airport)

  • Jeju International Airport is characterized by the occurrence of low-level windshear due to its location, surrounding terrain, and its weather characteristics. Especially the low-level windshear accompanied by tailwinds on both sides of the runway i.e., bidirectional tailwind, is a hazardous weather phenomenon with unique characteristics that are difficult to find at any other airports. This study focuses on bidirectional tailwind occurrence at Jeju International Airport in 2020-2021. As a result, characteristic pressure patterns of the types that cause bidirectional tailwind was identified as it was possible to categorize strong wind types such as 1) strong southwest wind, 2) strong east wind, and 3) strong northwest wind, which do not cause bidirectional tailwind, and wind direction variation types such as 4) bidirectional tailwind, and 5) south wind followed by southwest wind, which cause bidirectional tailwind. The results of this study are expected to contribute to improving aviation safety by enabling aviation operators to predict and take appropriate safety measures based on their understanding of the causes and characteristics of bidirectional tailwind.

도심항공교통(UAM) 운영을 위한 횡적 회랑 규격 실증 연구 (An Empirical Study on Establishing the Cross-track Corridor Dimension for UAM Operations)

  • 도심항공교통(UAM; urban air mobility)은 교통 혼잡이 증가하는 도시 지역에서 교통수단의 대안으로 주목받고 있다. 사람 중심의 서비스인 기존 항공교통업무 방법으로는 복잡한 UAM 운용환경을 관리하기는 어려울 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 UAM 항공교통관리 (UATM; UAM traffic management)를 위한 첨단 정보처리 기반 교통관리시스템이 필요하다. 체계적인 UATM 환경 구축을 위해서는 공역관리가 필수적이다. 특히 UAM 항공기가 안전하게 운항할 수 있는 배타적 회랑을 구축하면 최저비행고도 규정을 위반하지 않고도 UAM 항공기를 운항할 수 있는 기회를 제공할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 UAM 운용을 위한 회랑의 횡단규격을 설정하기 위해 UAM과 유사한 규모의 헬리콥터를 이용하여 실증분석을 수행하였다. 연구 결과는 UAM 회랑 설계 시 지침으로 활용되기를 기대한다.

헬리콥터 비행교육 과정에서 비행훈련과 모의비행훈련의 상관관계 분석 (Analysis between Flight Training and Flight Simulator Trainingin Helicopter Flight Training Course)

  • As the demand for simulated flight training and interest in new technology training increase, this study analyzed the performance of flight simulator training and actual flight training subjects to confirm efficient flight simulator training curriculum. Summarizing the results of the study, found that flight simulator training had a significant positive effect on the actual flight training performance and in particular had a relatively large effect on the air maneuver, traffic pattern, cross country flight subjects. As a result of analyzing theoretical major classes that affect flight simulator training to verify the correlation, found that principle of air navigation, air traffic service, and helicopter flight theory were affected in order. The significance of this study was to identify the curriculum and ground lesson that should be focused on effectively performing flight simulator training in the helicopter private pilot course.

  • Surprise and Startle are often cited as potential or contributing factors in the cause of aircraft accidents because they can negatively affect pilots' situational awareness and decision-making. Accordingly, it is necessary to more clearly understand the effect on flight safety through the psychological and physiological reactions that occur to the pilots. Therefore, this study empirically analyzed the effects of Surprise and Startle on the pilot's psychological and physiological responses using a helicopter flight training device for the first time in Korea. As a result of the analysis, the ratio of recognition of Startle and Surprise, heart rate, and respiration rate showed a high difference between private pilots and commercial pilots. This is analyzed as the difference between long-term flight experience and flight time. In addition to presenting effective information for improving the education and training field of helicopter pilots in the future, it is intended to provide basic data for related research.

객실승무원의 업무 상황인식 저하가 안전행동에 미치는 영향 연구 - 객실승무원의 계획성 매개변수 효과를 포함하여 - (A Research on the Effect of a Cabin Crews' Low Level of Work Situational Awareness to Their Safety Behavior - Including the Mediation Effect Analysis on Cabin Crew's Forward Planning -)

  • Work situational awareness test (WSAT) has been utilized to estimate the fatigue risk of workers who worked with time pressure or latent accident risks at their work environment. Thus researchers decided to use WSAT to estimate fatigue risk of cabin crews of an airline in Korea and to analyze empirically how such risk might have an effect on cabin crew's safety behavior. This was because there had not been enough research on accessing cabin crews' fatigue and analyzing its risk for the flight safety. In addition, the mediation effect of cabin crew's planning was also analyzed through Sobel-test by researchers among external factors such as lack of concentration, attention deficit, distraction and safety behavior. According to empirical analysis, it was found attention deficit and distraction of cabin crews due to fatigue during the flight had a significant negative effect on their planning. Planning was also proven to have mediation effect to cabin crew's safety behavior.

한국형 운항승무원 피로관리 프로그램의 출두시간에 관한 연구 (The Show up Time in the Development of the Korean Pilots Fatigue Management Program)

  • 항공산업의 발전에 따라 국제적으로 운항승무원의 피로 위험 관리에 대한 중요성은 증가하고 있으며, 이와 관련한 피로도 연구와 법 제정은 전 세계적으로 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 이미 미국, 유럽 등의 비행 선진국은 비행시간과 비행근무시간 규정을 운항 승무원의 출두 시간, 이착륙 횟수, 휴식시간, 시차적응상태 등의 비행 환경을 반영한 최대 비행근무시간을 유연하게 적용 운항승무원의 피로도를 관리하고 있다. 국내의 경우는 운항승무원의 비행 환경 및 비행 조건을 반영하지 않은 연속되는 일간, 월간, 연간 기준으로 최대 비행근무시간을 정하는 획일적인 방식을 적용하고 있는 실정으로, 피로 위험관리시스템의 개선이 필요한 시점이다. 하지만 선진 해외항공사 위주로 개발된 피로도 관련 법과 규정을 국내의 비행 환경을 고려하지 않고 적용할 시 부작용이 있을 수 있다. 본연구의 국내 운항승무원 피로도 관련 설문 조사 결과에 의하면, 이미 해외에서 적용하고 있는 최대 비행시간 규정을 수정 없이 그대로 국내에 도입 및 적용하는 경우, 오히려 국내 운항승무원의 피로도는 증가할 수 있다는 시사점을 도출하였다. 이에 국내의 비행 환경과 문화에 적합한 한국형 비행근무시간 제한에 관한 연구의 필요성을 제안하고자 한다.

  • In response to the recent surge in aviation demand, major airports and aviation authorities continue to make efforts to formulate arrival and approach procedures that take into account efficient aircraft separation, noise and environmental issues of carbon (CO2) emissions. In order to ensure efficient traffic control and environmental issues, as a result, a new concept Trombone, Point Merge, etc. have been introduced and widely used in the domestic airspace. However, these new concept procedures which do not properly reflect the characteristics of the aircraft operation performance and the FMS vertical descent guidance hinder flight efficiency as well as bring in turn negative factors such as level-off flight and the use of drag device at the busiest phase of the flight descent operation, like the Continuous Descent Operation (CDO). Accordingly, throughout modification the current Standard Terminal Arrival Route (STAR) and Instrument Approach Procedure(IAP) that reflect the aircraft descent performance and the FMS guidance, the flight operation safety and efficiency is expected to be improved eventually. We herewith analyze and propose the way of improving flight efficiency in the arrival operation procedure by supplementary modification which consequently contribute to the aviation industry international competitiveness.

  • 글로벌 환경에서 항공사는 고객 만족을 통해 경쟁력을 확보하고 이윤을 창출하기 위해 노력하고 있다. 고객에게 서비스를 제공하기 위해 가장 선행되어야 할 것이 항공기의 안전이며, 안전의 실현을 위해 기본이 되어야 할 것이 정비품질의 지속적 유지이다. 항공 기술의 발전 정도는 상상할 수 없을 만큼 빠르게 진행되고 있으나, 정비품질 유지를 위해 일선 현장에서 업무하는 항공정비사의 제반 환경은 크게 변함이 없는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 항공정비사에게 제공되는 교육훈련과 안전문화의 수준을 파악하고 자아존중감이 정비품질에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 한다. 기존 선행연구는 정비사의 교육훈련, 조직성과 ,직무스트레스 등과 같은 연구는 있었으나, 정비품질과 관련된 연구는 부족하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 정비품질에 영향을 미치는 변수 간의 관계를 파악하고 실증분석을 통한 정비품질 향상을 위한 시사점을 제시하고자 한다.

QAR 데이터 분석을 통한 항공난류 조기 인지 가능성 연구 (A Study on the Precursors of Aviation Turbulence via QAR Data Analysis)

  • Although continuous passenger injuries and physical damages are repeated due to the unexpected aviation turbulence encountered during operations, there is still exist the limitation for preventing recurrence of similar events because the lack of real-time information and delay in technological developments regarding various operating conditions and variable weather phenomena. The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the meteorological data of the aviation turbulence occurred and actual flight data extracted from the Quick Access Recorder(QAR) to provide some precursors that the pilot can identify aviation turbulence early by referring thru the flight instrumentation indications. The case applied for this study was recent event, a scheduled flight from Incheon Airport, Korea to Narita Airport, Japan that suddenly encountered turbulence at an altitude of approximately 14,000 feet during approach. According to the Korea Meteorological Administration(KMA)'s Regional Data Assessment and Prediction System(RDAPS) data, it was observed that the strong amount of vorticity in the rear area of jet stream, which existed near Mount Fuji at that time. The QAR data analysis shows significant changes in the aircraft's parameters such as Pitch and Roll angle, Static Air Temperature(SAT), and wind speed and direction in tens of seconds to minutes before encounter the turbulence. If the accumulate reliability of the data in addition and verification of various parameters with continuous analysis of additional cases, it can be the precursors for the pilot's effective and pre-emptive action and conservative prevention measures against aviation turbulence to reduce subsequent passenger injuries in the aviation operations.
