An Analysis of UAV operation altitude according to Line-Of-Sight communication range. (가시선 통신거리에 따른 무인항공기 운용 고도 분석)

  • In this paper, analyzed of UAVs operation altitude and range from the point of view of the data link. UAVs operation altitude is determined by the specification of the mission equipment and operational purposes. The link-of-sight analysis of data link equipment before deciding the unmanned aircraft operation altitude conditions should be considered. If GDT=0m installation then 32dBi antenna apply 13,724 meter is operation altitude. 44dBi antenna 6,657 meters. Operating altitude perspective, high-gain antenna is recommended of the long range communication.

  • The Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment and the Protocol to the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment on Matters specific to Aircraft Equipment were adopted on 16 November 2001 at a diplomatic conference held in Cape Town under the joint auspices of UNIDROIT and ICAO. The entry into force of the Cape Town Convention and Protocol have occurred on 1 March 2006. The Cape Town Convention and Protocol provides an international legal regime for the creation, perfection and priority of security, title retention and leasing interests in aircraft equipment, which will be underpinned by an international registry. The purpose of this paper is to explain the objectives and principles of the Cape Town Convention and Protocol, to review the provisions relating to the international interests in aircraft equipment and international registry for their protection under the Cape Town Convention and Protocol, and to discuss the Issues on Korea's accession to the Cape Town Convention and Protocol. As the anticipated results of this paper, it will contribute to facilitate the financing of the acquisition and use of aircraft equipment of high value or particular economic significance in an efficient manner, and to save very large sums of money annually in financing charges, also the international interests in aircraft equipment will be recognized and protected universally.

  • A development of landing gear drop test rig system for a small aircraft was studied and presented in this paper. Hydraulic actuators were considered in order to operate test system automatically and the wire winch system was applied to keep safety of test operators. This rig system was manufactured after checking the structural stability. Friction force measurement and drop velocity evaluation tests were done to confirm the confidence of test system. As a results of evaluation tests, it was confirmed that developed landing gear drop test system was adaptable.

  • LRU layout is a complex problem that requires consideration of various criteria such as airworthiness, performance, maintainability and environmental requirements. As aircraft functions become more complex, the necessary equipment is increasing, and unmanned aerial vehicles are equipped with more equipment as a substitute for pilots. Due to the complexity of the problem, the increase in the number of equipment, and the limited development period, the placement of equipment is largely dependent on the engineer's insight and experience. For optimization, quantitative criteria are required for evaluation, but criteria such as safety, performance, and maintainability are difficult to quantitatively compare or have limitations. In this study, we consider the installation and maintenance of the equipment, simplify the deployment model to the traveling salesman problem, Optimization was performed using a genetic algorithm to minimize the weight of the connecting cable between the equipment. When the optimization results were compared with the global calculations, the same results were obtained with less time required, and the improvement was compared with the heuristic.

  • This paper addresses the installation and modification design of airframe structures for new and modified equipment installations that are essential for aircraft performance improvement. Typical performance improvement equipment mounted on the exterior of the aircraft include antenna, radar, electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR), and self-protection system equipment, which require structural reinforcement, modification, and mounting design of the green aircraft for operation. In the interior of the aircraft, console and rack structures are modified or added according to user operation requirements. In addition, this is accompanied by the installation design of equipment to be replaced and added for performance improvement, and the according modification of environmental control system components for internal cooling. The engineering process and cases in which airworthiness was verified through the detailed design of airframe structures with structural integrity, operability, and maintainability of performance-improved aircraft are presented.

  • 무인항공기는 광대역의 전장 정보를 실시간으로 획득하거나 적 위협정보를 파악하기 위해 영상정보를 활용하며 보다 정확한 감시 및 정찰 정보의 획득과 가시화를 위해 정밀한 영상정보처리 기법이 요구된다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 무인항공기를 통해 획득한 영상 정보를 지상통제장비로 전송하고 이를 효과적으로 시각화하는 통합 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 영상정보처리 시각화 시스템을 통해 무인항공기와 지상통제장비는 전장에서 요구되는 임무와 역할을 효과적으로 수행할 것으로 기대한다.

  • In wartime conditions, the communication system of military aircraft is exposed to jamming, and it is necessary to mount communication equipment with high anti-jamming performance in order to perform air operations smoothly even in an environment where jamming attempts are made. In this paper, we check in detail the jamming and anti-jamming technology that can be applied to wireless communication, and the data disclosed on the difference in specifications of the next-generation anti-jamming radio with frequency hopping method and the improvement of anti-jamming performance according to these changes. It was briefly analyzed within the scope. In addition, the points to be considered when designing a new domestic aircraft and the possibility of installing the next-generation anti-jamming communication equipment on the currently operating aircraft were confirmed, and the tactical usefulness of improving the anti-jamming capability of the next-generation anti-jamming communication equipment was confirmed.

  • 본 연구는"경찰장비 관리 규칙" 및 "경찰장비의 사용 등에 관한 규정"에 따른 경찰장비 가운데 차량의 합리적 운용과 관리를 위한 제언을 목적으로 한다. 그런데 "경찰 장비관리 규칙" 제2조(정의) 제4항은 "경찰장비란 무기, 경찰장구, 최루제 및 그 발사장치, 과학수사기구, 해안감시기구, 정보통신기기, 차량 선박 항공기 등 경찰의 직무 수행을 위해 필요한 장치와 기구를 말한다".고 규정하고 있다. 이를 보면 경찰장비의 범위가 비교적 넓으며 그 종류도 다양하다는 것을 알 수 있다. 그러나 본 연구에서는 연구의 편의와 한계 등을 고려하여 경찰장비 가운데 기동장비인 차량, 항공기, 선박, 자전거 중에서 차량에 한정하여 연구의 대상으로 삼았다. 경찰장비관리규칙 제87조(정의) 제2항은 "차량이란 자동차와 원동기를 장치한 이륜차를 말한다"고 규정하고 있다. 그런데 경찰에서 사용하고 있는 차량의 대부분은 자동차이므로 본 연구도 자동차를 연구의 대상으로 "경찰장비 관리 규칙" 상의 문제제기에 한정한다.
