The present invention relates to a absorption rotor for removed VOC(volatile organic compound) and humidity in semiconductor clean room system. A absorption rotor medium is made by NaX zeolite and TS-1 zeolite formed on a honeycomb matrix of ceramic papers. The crystallization of NaX zeolite was hydrothermal reaction, and NaX zeolite crystals of a uniform particle size of 5$\mu$m were synthesized that NaX zeolite seed crystals (2~3$\mu$m) added in a batch composition at levels of 3~15 wt$\%$. The seeding resulted in an increase in the fraction of large crystals compared with unseeded batches and successfully led to a uniform NaX zeolite crystal. The microporous zeolite-type titanosilicate(TS-1) was synthesized by different of the reactant solution pH. The pH range of reactant solution has been changed from 10.0 to 11.5 TS-1 zeolite (ETS-10), having a large pore(8~10 $\AA$), was synthesized at 10.4 of pH, since TS-1 zeolite (ETS-4), having a small pore(3~5$\AA$), was synthesized at 11.5 of pH.

In this study, zeolite was synthesized by hydrothermal, fusion, and fusion/hydrothermal methods with fly ash, coal fly ash, and a waste catalyst discharged from thermal power plants and incinerator in Ulsan area. Coal fly ashes (CFAs) and a waste catalyst containing amounts of $SiO_2$ and $Al_2O_3$ ranging from 60.29 to 89.62 wt%. CFAs were mainly composed of quartz and mullite which were assayed by a XRD pattern. Zeolite could be synthesized by CFAs and the waste catalyst when all methods were used. Na-A zeolite (Z-C1, Z-C2, and Z-W5) are mainly synthesized by the fusion method from CFAs and the waste catalyst. Z-C1 and Z-C2 formed by-products, calcite peaks, which is caused by the content of CaO in CFAs and the addition of $Na_2CO_3$ for a synthetic process.
Zeolite was synthesized hydrothermally using the water-treatment sludge, and the effects of various synthesis parameters like reaction temperature, reaction time, and Na2O/SiO2 molar ratio on the crystallization of zeolite were investigated. Crystal structure, physical property, and thermal stability of zeolite crystals were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, FTIR spectroscopy, BET nitrogen adsorption, and TGA measurements. The removal efficiencies of nitrogen in ammonia, heavy metal ions, and TOC were calculated to evaluate zeolite's adsorption capacity. The primary chemical composition of water-treatment sludge was 28.79% Al2O3 and 27.06% SiO2. The zeolites were synthesized by merely employing the water-treatment sludge as silica and alumina sources without additional chemicals. Zeolite crystals synthesized through the water-treatment sludge were confirmed as an A-type zeolite structure. Zeolite A had the highest crystallinity obtained from a gel with the molar composition 2.1Na2O-Al2O3-1.6SiO2-65H2O after 5 h at a temperature of 90 ℃. The specific surface area of zeolite obtained was 55 ㎡ g-1, which was higher than commercial zeolite A. The removal efficiency of nitrogen in ammonia was 68% after 3 h of reaction time, while the removal efficiencies of Pb2+ and Cd2+ ions were 99.1% and 99.3%, respectively. These results indicate active ion exchange between Pb2+ or Cd2+ ion and Na+ ion in the zeolite framework. The adsorption experiments on the different zeolite addition conditions were performed for 3 h with 300 ppm humic acid. Based on the results, TOC's highest efficiency was 83% when 5 g of zeolite was added.
Nano-sized ZnO crystals were successfully incorporated using ion exchange method in TMA-A zeolite synthesized by the hydrothermal method. The optimal composition for the synthesis of TMA-A zeolite was resulted in a solution of $Al(i-pro)_3$ : 2.2 TEOS : 2.4 TMAOH : 0.3 NaOH : 200 $H_2O$. 0.3 g of TMA-A zeolite and 5 mol of $ZnCl_2$ solution were employed for the preparation of ZnO incorporated TMA-A zeolite. The crystallization process of ZnO incorporated TMA-A zeolite was analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The incorporated nano-sized ZnO crystals and the crystallinity of TMA-A zeolite were evaluated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). The size of the incorporated nano-sized ZnO crystals was 3~5 nm, while the TMA-A zeolite was 60~100 nm. The bonding structure and absorption of the ZnO incorporated TMA-A zeolite were compared with the ZnO and TMA-A zeolite by the FT-IR analysis. Subsequentlly, the ZnO incorporated TMA-A zeolite showed the photoluminescent characteristics on the wavelengths of 330~260 nm and 260~230 nm by measurement of UV spectrophotometer.
To get optimum synthetic condition of zeolite A made from Kampo natural bentonite, the effects of reactant mole fraction, reaction temperature, and reaction time were studied. The source of silica was 40% -H₂SO₄ treated natural bentonite and that of alumina was synthesized NaA1O₂. The reactant was mixed at the mole ratio of SiO₂ : Al₂O₃ : Na₂O : H₂O=2 : 1 : 1 : 25 and 2 : : 1 : 37. The mixed reactants were aged at 60℃ for 1hr and reacted at 90℃, 100℃ and 120℃ for 1, 3 and 5hr. The optimum synthetic condition was SiO₂ : A1₂O₃ : Na₂O H₂O=2 : 1 : 1 : 30 at 90℃ for 3hr and the synthetic zeolite A prepared by this optimum condition showed the dehydration temperature at 79.2℃ and lattice trans-formation at 503.3℃. The wright loss of water was 5.9%.

Highly porous amorphous silica obtained from a serpentine mineral by hydrochloric acid treatment was used to produce a zeolite A through the hydrothermal reaction under atmospheric pressure. An optimum synthesis condition of the zeolite A was achieved at $80^{\circ}C$ for two hours with a mole ratio of $Na_2O/SiO_2$1.5. Additionally, it was found that a hydroxysodalite zeolite was formed under the experimental conditions over the reaction temperature of $80^{\circ}C$ and the reaction time of 120 minutes even though the crystallization of zeolite proceeds rapidly as the reaction temperature and the alkalinity becomes higher.

The zeolite crystals were synthesized by hydrogel process into the pore of activated carbon. The effect of activated carbon in the course of the crystallization of zeolite was investigated. The phenomena of impregnation of zeolite crystals into the pore of the activated carbon were also examined. The results show that in case of the addition of 5% of activated carbon to the aluminosilicate gel including the mole composition of zeolite A, zeolite A was purely synthesized without the existence of other type of zeolite. However, in case of the addition of 20% of activated carbon, zeolite X was purely synthesized. In the pore mouth and internal of activated carbon, zeolite crystals having the size under $1{\mu}m$ was observed. From the results of the pore size and particle size distributions, it was confirmed that the synthetic sample was the composite material impregnated by the zeolite crystals into the pore of activated carbon, not the simple mixture of zeolite and activated carbon.
Pentasil zeolites, including ZSM-5, ZSM-8, ZSM-11 and silicalites, were synthesized using various organic cations. Synthesis run was carried out in a Parr pressure reactor of $2{\ell}$ capacity and a self-constructed reactor with a magnetic stirring system. The reactant materials used are colloidal silica (Snowtex), sodium aluminate, sodium chloride, TEA, TPA, TBA, Choline and water. The composition of starting materials and the reaction temperature were found to be important factors for the synthesis of uniform pentasil zeolites.
A and 2SM-5 type zeoli tic crystal films were synthesized on porous supports from the reaction mixture of 1.9 ${SiO}_2$1.5 $Na_20-Al_2O_3-40$$H_20$ and $Si0_2$-0.l3 $Na_2O$-52 $H_20$-O.l2 TPAOH composition, respectively. The zeolite films were characterized by XRD and SEM. The 2SM -5 crystals grown on the porous matrix were very closely bound together. It was so difficult to obtain the perfectly intergrown crystals in the case of A-type zeolite and this crystal was transformed into P-type zeolite membrane with a prolonged reaction time. The densely intergrown A type zeolite crystal membrane could be also synthesized by the hydrothermal treatment at 100$^{\cirt}C$ after pressing the reaction mixture without addition of water. The pervaporation performance of the synthesized porous inorganic membranes was investigated for alcohol and water mixtures. A-type zeolite membrane crystallized as a thin film showed the selective \'Jermeability of water from the mixtures through the molecular sieving activity of micropores.
Phillipsite-type zeolite powders were synthesized from domestic coal fly ash by hydrothermal reaction with 2.0 M-3.5M NaOH solution at $80^{\circ}C{\sim}120^{\circ}C$ for 24 h. The properties of zeolite were investigated by XRD, SEM and IR spectroscopy. The effects of chemical composition of fly ash, reaction temperature and NaOH concentration on the zeolite synthesis were well appeared on IR spectra. It is found that the $TO_4$(T=Si, Al) tetrahedra have a well ordered structure as the $SiO_2$ content, synthesis temperature and NaOH concentration become high.
