In this study, two alternative models are developed and tested in order to investigate the relationship between retailer image and its private brand attitude. The halo effect model hypothesizes that retailer image is related as a halo in private brand evaluation and the summary construct model hypothesizes that retailer image functions as a summary construct of private brand evaluation. The results indicate there are moderating effects of 1) familiarity with a private brand and 2) the characteristics of a product category High familiarity is related with the summary construct model and low familiarity the halo effect model. In private brand food, the summary construct model fits better and explains more adequately that private brand evaluation influences retailer image as a summary construct. In private brand clothes, however, the halo effect model performs better in explaining the relationship between retailer image and private brand attitude.

This article aims to articulate, via Dilthey's concept of "understanding", that the three reflective conditions of interculturality are compatible with the three theses of "living-together". The former was proposed by Prof. Joo Kwang Sun and the latter is my assertion. In my point of view, the three theses of "living-together" are firstly 'consciousness of relationship to others', secondly 'reciprocity of relating', and thirdly 'sharing of same representation of mutual relationship'. Considering Dilthey's concept of "understanding", we can confirm that his concept includes firstly 'understanding is only for something constructed by spirit', secondly 'it is relation between expression and something expressed', and thirdly 'it means construction of one whole living-together'. Therefore I think Dilthey's concept of "understanding" could be regarded as a medium concept which enables us to integrate the three reflective conditions of interculturality with the three theses of "living-together". So I try to explain compatibility between the three conditions of interculturality and the theses of "living-together".

Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) is a widely used methodology for data analysis, which extracts concepts and builds a concept hierarchy from given data. A concept consists of objects and attributes shared by those objects, and a concept hierarchy includes information on super-sub relations among the concepts. In this paper, we propose a method for extracting Implication and Association rules from a concept hierarchy given a query by a user. The method also describes a way for displaying the extracted rules. Based on this method, we implemented an automatic tool, QAG-Wizard. Because the QAG-Wizard not only elicits relation information for the given query, but also displays it in structured form intuitively, we expect that it can be used in the fields of data analysis, data mining and information retrieval for various purposes.

2015년 미 해군에서 발간한 미 수상함대전략(Surface Force Strategy)에 따르면, 미 해군은 반접근-지역거부(Anti-Acess and Anti-Denial, A2/AD) 전략에 대한 대응책으로 '분산된 치명성(Distributed Lethality, DL)'이라는 신 작전개념을 개발 중에 있다. 이 개념은 각 유닛(unit)의 공격력(offensive power)을 향상시키고 지리적으로 분산 시킴으로써(geographical dispersion) 생존성을 향상시키는데 목적을 두고 있다. 하지만 동맹국(한국/일본 등)이 '분산된 치명성(DL)' 개념에 기여할 수 있는 영역이 다양함에도 불구하고, 지금까지 미 해군 내에서는 동맹국과 어떻게 공조해야 할 것인가에 대한 논의가 부족한 것이 사실이다. 따라서, 미 해군은 향후 '분산된 치명성(DL)' 이라는 작전개념에 동맹국이 줄 수 있는 이점을 추가적으로 적용하는 '동맹국을 활용한 분산된 치명성(Distributed Lethality with Allies, DL+A)' 개념을 발전시켜야 할 것이다. '동맹국을 활용한 분산된 치명성(DL+A)' 개념이란 동맹국이 가지고 있는 전력, 시설, 플랫폼 등 가용자산을 최대한 활용하여 기존의 '분산된 치명성(DL)' 개념을 강화시키는 신 작전개념이다. 미 해군은 본 논문에서 제시하는 신 작전개념(DL+A)을 적용함으로써 다양한 영역(정찰, 군수, 지리적 요충지, 플랫폼)에서 동맹국으로부터 지원을 받을 수 있을 것이다. 또한, 동맹국은 미 해군의 신 작전개념을 적용함으로써 A2/AD 전략에 대비한 안보능력을 향상시킬 수 있을 것이다.

개념 정보를 제공하는 어휘 데이터베이스로 WordNet, CYC, EDR등이 출현하였다. 본 연구는 WordNet의 개념 기술 방식에 따라 한국어 개념 사전을 구축하기 위한 것이다 우선 개념을 분류할 적절한 분류 체계를 설정하고, 연세 말뭉치에서 빈도수가 높은 상위 300개 명사를 추출하여 사전의 뜻풀이에 나타난 명사와 연관관계로 표시된 명사를 함께 제시함으로써 개념을 표현하였다. 이러한 한국어 개념 사전은 의미모호성을 해소하는데 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

This study tried to contrast the relation-based and the dimension-based explanations and to suggest its implications on the noun-noun conceptual combination. In experiment 1, we investigated whether the dimension-based approach and intra-conceptual explanation can explain both thematic relational and property interpretations of conceptual combinations based upon the intrinsic and extrinsic features of constituent concepts. We defined intrinsic(or extrinsic) concepts according to the degree of dependency on intrinsic(or extrinsic) features. Property interpretation was facilitated when modifiers were the intrinsic concepts. This result implies that processing of conceptual combination can be influenced by the structures and information of constituent concepts. In experiment 2, exocentricity of the concepts used in Gagne(2000) was examined to reanalyze her data according to the dimension-based approach. The exocentricity was higher when the concepts were combined by their relational connections. Results of experiment 1 and 2 suggest the possibility that both approaches can be integrated through the diversities of information involved during interpreting conceptual combination. Implications and future directions of this study were discussed.

When imaginary numbers were first encountered in the 16th century, mathematicians were able to calculate the imaginary numbers the same as they are today. However, it required 200 years to mathematically acknowledge the existence of imaginary numbers. The new mathematical situation that arose with a development in mathematics required a harmony of real numbers and imaginary numbers. As a result, the concept of complex number became clear. A history behind the development of complex numbers involved a process of determining a comprehensive perspective that ties real numbers and imaginary numbers in a single category, complex numbers. This came after a resolution of conflict between real numbers and imaginary numbers. This study identified the new perspective and way of mathematical thinking emerging from resolving the conflicts. Also educational implications of the analysis were discussed.

본 논문에서는 어휘 의미 애매성 해소와 영어 대역어 사전 그리고 외국언어에 존재하는 개념체계를 이용하여 한국어 개념체계를 자동으로 구축하는 방법을 기술한다. 본 논문에서 사용하는 방법은 기존의 개념체계 구축 방법들에 비해 적은 노력과 시간을 필요로 한다. 또한 상기한 자동 구축 방법에서 사용하는 어휘 의미 애매성 해소를 위한 6가지 feature도 함께 설명한다.
