Motivation for Z generation to consume limited edition products (Z세대 소비자를 움직이는 힘, 한정판)

  • In the past, purchasing limited products was nothing more than purchasing expensive luxury goods. However, the current 'Limited product purchase' is not just pay to ability, but the information to purchase the product are important factors. Therefore, this study aims to find out 1) the motivation to purchase limited edition products and 2) the effect of the motivation on the consumer's experience(price, intention to purchase). As a result, five major purchase motives(Conformity, Interest, Scarcity, Finance technology, Desire to concede) were found. Among them 'Interest' had a positive effect on the product purchase price, and 'Conformity' had a negative effect on the product price. Next, 'Interest' and 'Scarcity' had a positively significant effect on intention to purchase. Through this study, we were able to reveal in depth the actual purchase motives of consumers who are currently emerging as the main age group of the new consumption culture, and expect these purchase motives to be actively used in the new market such as resell markets.

A Study on the Effect of Limited Edition Marketing in Small Brands (소규모 브랜드에서 한정판 마케팅 효과에 관한 연구)

  • According to the lack of specific research on small business, this study analyzed the effects of a limited edition marketing strategy in a small business, whereas many previous studies focused only on large businesses. The test was performed by releasing and selling a limited edition (LE) product of a small brand with annual sales of about $10,000, for a limited time (one week), alongside social network advertising on Instagram. As this strategy resulted in a 10 times increase in sales from the previous year, the author concluded that a limited edition marketing campaign can significantly improve brand awareness and increase sales in a small independent business as well as larger businesses.

The effect of consumers' self-regulatory modes and scarcity messages on fashion product evaluations (소비자의 조절모드와 희소성 메시지가 패션제품평가에 미치는 영향)

  • This study looked into the scarcity effect based on the consumers' self-regulatory modes and determined the effect that such a regulatory mode and that quantity-scarcity messages would have on evaluations of fashion products. To that end, the study used a 2 (regulatory mode: assessment mode/locomotion mode)${\times}2$ (message type: quantity-scarcity message/non-scarcity message) between-subjects factorial design in which buying impulsiveness was presented as a mediator variable that showed differences in product evaluations depending on the message type and on the presence of a self-regulatory mode. The results of this study showed that locomotion-oriented consumers evaluated products more positively compared to assessment-oriented consumers when the quantity-scarcity message was presented. When a non-scarcity message was presented, no significant difference was observed in product evaluations based on the consumers' self-regulatory modes. In addition, buying impulsiveness in consumers served a mediator role in the evaluations of fashion products. The results of this study imply that a clear understanding of consumers is a prerequisite for maximizing the scarcity effect and that companies need to differentiate in terms of the way they use scarcity messages based on consumers' self-regulatory modes.

Outlook of Wood Products Markets with Supply and Demand Model (수급모형을 이용한 목제품 시장 전망)

  • This study is aimed at developing a supply-demand model of wood products, and outlook for mid-term and long-term supply and demand for each products. The main wood products include sawnwood, plywood, particle board, fiberboard (MDF), and pulp. The partial equilibrium model is composed of supply function, import demand function, demand function, price relation function. With given parameters the outlook for year 2050 says that sawnwood, plywood, and fiberboard for domestic productions and imports are decreased. This may result from the increase of log prices from the inside and outside of the country because of the propensity for environment protection and the resource nationalism. On the other hand the supply of particle board and pulp will increase because they are made from wasted wood and chips.

  • 최근들어, TFT LCD 업체들의 제품 대형화에 따라서 서서히 제품군이 중, 대형 TV를 중심으로 넓은 광시야각 기술 (FFS, IPS, VA)이 적용되고 있으며 고휘도, 고속응답, 고색순도 등 성능향상을 지속하는 가운데 LCD 백라이트로써 LCD TV에 적용하기 위해서는 무엇보다도 현재 기존 제품군보다 높은 휘도 특성의 개선이 요구되고 있다. TV 대응 LCD Panel 은 Monitor 대응 제품에 비해서 일반적으로 해상도가 낮으므로, 투과율면에서 장점은 있으나, 현재의 백라이트 구조로는 만족할만한 성능을 낼 수 없는 상황이다. 그러므로 고휘도 백라이트를 위해서 직하방식 백라이트에 대한 개발 검토가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 백라이트에서 6500nits를 목표로 직하형 백라이트의 시뮬레이션을 실시하였으며, 램프간 거리, 리플렉터와 램프간 거리, 램프와 확산판간 거리등에 해한 최적화를 통하여 총두께에 따른 특성분석을 실시하였다. 특히, 램프의 수량에 따른 휘도 시뮬레이션을 통해서 백라이트별 기구치수를 결정할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서의 목적인 6500nits의 휘도는 프리즘시트의 적용을 통하여 달성하였다.

A study on the supply-demand analysis and outlook for wood products (목제품 수급분석 및 전망에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to update the supply-demand model of wood products(FOSMO-2013) and to forecast mid and long run supply and demand for each products. The subjects of the study include sawnwood, plywood, particle board, fiberboard(MDF), and pulp. The updated partial equilibrium model is composed of supply function, import demand function, demand function, price relation function. The long run outlooks of world prices of wood and wood products are imported from the results of Buongiorno(2012). This study also adopt Buongiorno's scenarios, which includes three scenarios of IPCC(A1B, A2, B2) and the other one with assumption of increasing fuelwood consumption of A1B scenario. The result says that the domestic productions of wood products are expecting to decrease while the imports of them increase even there are some differences among the products as well as scenarios.

  • This study was intended to identify the influence of brand value, Jewelry design, recommendation, Jewelry price, recognition, and satisfaction on purchase intent and to present a marketing strategy to draw up an activation plan for the child Jewelry market. Therefore, the implications of this study are as follows: First, companies should give consumers a sense of brand value through media promotion so that consumers can recognize it. Second, companies will have to set up marketing strategies to further enhance brand value through production of limited edition products. It will also have to develop a strategy to expand the type of product by promoting the product along with the product that has been recognized. Third, companies will have to diversify their product designs and expand the range of design choices for consumers through detailed design contests for design professionals, ordinary people and housewives. Fourth, when recommending a product to an acquaintance, you should make a recommendation considering the members of the household, individuality, and taste. Fifth, the company will have to push forward the diversification of prices as well as the diversification of products. Finally, companies will have to set up marketing strategies that meet consumers' needs, such as expanding point reserves for products, hosting promotions and one-plus-won events with friends.

The Optical characteristic analysis for Prism LGP (프리즘 도광판의 광특성 분석)

  • 최근 LCD제품은 고유한 특장인 경박단소가 요구되면서, 기존의 Back Light Unit(BLU) 로는 대응할 수 없는 사양으로 진화되고 있다. 기존과 동일한 설계개념으로 접근시에 시장에서 요구되는 중량, 두께, 휘도의 사양을 만족시킬 수 없으며, BLU의 주요광원인 CCFL(Cold Cathod Fluorescent Lamp)의 휘도 개선 또 한 한계에 다다르고 있다. 따라서 앞으로의 BLU 의 고성능화는 최적화, 고효율화로의 개발 전개가 예상되며, LCD의 고해상도에 따른 투과율 저하를 보상하기 위한 고품질 BLU의 개발이 시급한 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 BLU의 고효율화, 고품질화를 달성하기 위한 고성능 도광판 개발과 관련하여, 실물 제작에 앞서 광학시뮬레이션을 통한 이론적 접근을 수행하였다. 연구 결과, 상측에서 정각 $90^{\circ}$ 에 높이 $50{\mu}m$ 하측에서 정각 $80^{\circ}$ 높이 $28{\mu}m$일때 평균조도가 71.52W/m^2 구현됨을 알 수 있다. 이 결과를 바탕으로 통상의 인쇄 방식 도광판에 비해서 약 20% 정도의 휘도향상이 가능함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 차후 본 결과를 바탕으로 한 실물 제작을 통해 설계 시뮬레이션 결과와의 비교를 통해서 정확한 예측이 가능한 시스템을 구현함을 목적으로 하였다.

Applications of Mathematical Optimization Method for Chemical Industries (화학 산업에서 수학적 최적화 기법을 적용한 사례)

  • Executions of SCM in a chemical company of which divisions produce petrochemicals, compounds, batteries, IT material and medicine directly affect their own profit. Execution level of SCM or optimization is very important. This work presents activities of SCM and optimization of inefficient issues in several industrial divisions using mathematical optimization method. The meaning is not only academic research but also making a useful tool which active partner deals with in his work. It is explained how to do beforehand and afterward optimization problem. The benefits are mentioned in the sections. The first of examples would be cover supply plan optimization, optimal profit business plan, and scheduling of a stretching process of polarizer based on minimizing raw material loss in polarizer production. The second example would be cover the optimization of production/packaging plans to maximize productivity of Poly Olefin processes, and the third example is minimization of transition loss in the production of battery electrodes. The fourth example would be cover scheduling of vessel approaching to berth. Because transportation of large portion of raw material and products of petrochemical industry is dealt with vessel, scheduling of vessel approaching to berth is important at the shore of large difference of tide. The final example would be scheduling problem to minimization of change over time of ABS semi products.

미래성장 LED 융합 기술 - LED 자동차 융합 기술의 현황 및 전망

  • 최근 자동차에 사용되는 조명은 LED가 주를 이루고 있다. 자동차 실내조명, 계기판 등에 사용되는 내부 조명의 경우 대부분 LED를 적용한 제품이며, 헤드램프, 후방 램프 및 방향 지시등과 같은 외부 조명의 경우도 LED로 교체되고 있다. 특히 LED 기반 헤드램프의 경우 과거 3500cc 이상 승용차 등에 한정되었으나 현재는 그 이하 레벨의 승용차 및 SUV 차량으로 범위가 빠르게 확산되고 있다. 고효율, 긴 수명 및 빠른 응답 속도가 장점인 LED를 차량용 조명 광원으로 사용함으로써 기존 할로겐램프나 HID 광원의 대체재로서의 전환이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 할로겐램프의 경우 청색보다 적색 파장의 광량이 많은 관계로 황색에 가까운 백색을 보이며, HID 램프의 경우 할로겐램프보다는 백색 계열에 더 가깝다. 하지만 LED 램프는 파장의 순도가 높아 보다 완벽한 백색 구현이 가능하다. 또한 단순한 기능을 지닌 헤드램프에서 지능형 헤드램프로의 발전이 빠르게 이루어지고 있다. 이에 따른 LED의 수요 또한 증가할 것으로 예상된다. 향후 고효율 LED 소자의 개발과 함께 자동차용 LED 조명에 대한 적용은 급속도로 진행될 것으로 예상되며, 앞으로 자동차 조명 분야에서는 'LED 헤드램프/후미등 기술+IT 기술(센서+통신)'이 융합된 형태로 발전할 것이다. 본고에서는 LED 자동차 융합 기술 동향 및 전망에 대해 자세히 기술하였다.
