This paper presents an optimum mixture design method for proportioning a concrete. In the proposed method, the search space is constrained as the domain defined by the minimal convex region of a database, instead of the available range of each component and the ratio composed of several components. The model for defining the search space which is expressed by the effective region is proposed. The effective region model evaluates whether a mix-proportion is effective on processing for optimization, yielding highly reliable results. Three concepts are adopted to realize the proposed methodology: A genetic algorithm for the optimization; an artificial neural network for predicting material properties; and a convex hull for evaluating the effective region. And then, it was applied to an optimization problem wherein the minimum cost should be obtained under a given strength requirement. Experimental test results show that the mix-proportion obtained from the proposed methodology using convex hulls is found to be more accurate and feasible than that obtained from a general optimum technique that does not consider this aspect.

Current in Korean Civil law, it regulates the Limited Guardianship and Specific Guardianship as an incompetent person. And as amending the Civil Law, the New Adult Guardianship System passed by the National Assembly on February 18 and it will be fully implemented from 1 July 2013. Therefore, in current law, the supplementation for various disqualifications about quasi-incompetence and incompetence is need. Because, the system of quasi-incompetence and incompetence will abolished from July 1. Thus, for the successful implementation of the Adult Guardianship System, laying the various legal groundwork and should be maintenance as soon as possible the each legislation associated with the revision of the Civil Code to fit the purpose of the New Guardianship System. So, in this paper, it will examine the several ways to amend the disqualification due to the introduction of the limited guardianship, adult guardianship system and prepare the reasonable legal model.

Current routing in sensor networks focuses on finding methods for energy-efficient route setup and reliable relaying of data from the sensors to the sink so that the lifetime of the network is maximized. The existing routing protocols do not have routing tables to determine a path when packets are transferred. A sensor network by a routing table increases a cost of maintaining and updating a path, because sensor nodes have characteristics to be mobile and constrained capacity and resources. This paper proposes a new routing algorithm by broadcasting a bitmap in order to reduce the number of messages transferred when routing paths are established. Each node has a routing table with a bitmap, which contains link information. A bitmap is formed two-dimensional array, which consists of each row and column represented with a bit. The node only updates its own bitmap if it receives a bitmap from another adjacent nodes after the broadcasting. There by, each node has a bitmap with partial links information not total links information on the network. The proposed routing algorithm reduces the number of messages for routing establishment at least 10% compared with the previous algorithms.

One of the most controversial issues in contemporary research of creativity, whether a person"s creativity is domain-specific or domain-general, was investigated with 109 second grade children in the present study. The purposes of this study sere to empirically examine (1) the relationships among children's creative performances measured by three product-based assessments (story-telling, collage-making, and math word problems) in three domains, and (2) the relationships between children's general creative thinking sills, measured by two divergent thinking tests, and children's creative performances. The findings of this study support the position that creative ability in young children is rather (but not absolutely0 domain-specific. Children exhibited a range of creative ability across different domains rather than a uniform creative ability in diverse domains, indicating there is considerable intra-individual variation in creative ability by domain. Divergent thinking measures did not have great power in predicting creative performance in at least two of three, if not all, domains assessed in the study. It is implied from the study that it is not possible to reliably predict a child"s creative ability in one domain based on his/her creative ability in other domains or his/her overall divergent thinking ability. Implication of the study in connection with educational practices for gifted children is discussed.

군수자원의 효율성을 제고하기 위해서는 한정된 군수예산을 사용하여 양질의 군수품을, 적정량을 적기에 경제적으로 조달하여야 하고 그 다음으로는 조달된 군수품의 효율적인 보급관리와 함께 관리회계등 국방자원관리제도와의 유기적인 상호 연계가 전제되어야 한다. 이 글에서는 군수관리상의 제반 문제를 인식하고 이를 해소하여 군수관리의 장기적인 발전을 가져올 수 있는 정책적인 대안으로 군수분야에 회전기금을 설치하는 방안을 구체적으로 제시하였다.

생물공정의 개념을 단백질, 탄수화물, 지방등의 생물질을 동물, 식물, 미생물의 자원으로부터 생산하기 위한 과정의 집합체로 정의 한다면 매우 광범위하며 이에 대해 본 고에서와 같이 작은 글에서 논한다는 것은 불가능에 가깝다 하겠다. 더욱이 생물공정을 산업화하기 위한 공장설계의 단계로 넘어간다면 예를 들어 한정된 경우에 대해 설명할 수 밖에 없겠다. 따라서 본 고에서 재조합 단백질의 정제 공정과 이것의 공정설계에 있어 고려할 점을 논술함으로써 생물공정과 공장설계의 한 단면을 조감하였으면 한다.
