Education of media by production of image contents - Focusing on Non-Linear Editing (영상 콘텐츠 제작을 통한 미디어 교육 - 비선형 편집을 중심으로)

  • Today the influence of digital video media grows bigger due to the development of information and telecommunication gradually and most of juveniles spend a number of image contents with their smart phones and computers. And they not only consume such image contents but also upload the videos they make at YouTube or Vimeo by recording and editing them by themselves. As we learned from such phenomenon, the education of media that uses and expresses the video in various environment such as making, reading and expressing video media is very important. The education of using the advance digital device and software of producing image contents is essential as current education of media cannot be discussed without that. This study treats the education of media based on the view point of education on image contents production. It discusses the education method that we can learn from the process of image contents production based on Non-Linear Editing System.

  • Today, art education needs education of media image production or media in the extended field. The purpose of this study is to develop the basic visual grammar and communication ability. We developed and applied the teaching plan for the interview video production as the fusion lesson. 3 classes were conducted for 30 middle school students. The results obtained through the analysis of the pre & post questions and student works are as follows. First, the students used the shot size and stable composition through the interview video production. As a result, this class was effective for the acquisition of the basic video grammar. Second, students improved their ability to ask and listen, understand and organize through interview. As a result, students were able to apply the basic video grammar through the interview video production lesson, effectively producing the interview image.

A Study on Visual Perception of Hologram Advertisement (홀로그램 매체를 활용한 광고의 시각인지도에 관한 연구)

  • A hologram is a three-dimensional image reproduced from a pattern of interference produced by a split coherent beam of radiation. Therefore not only can it express the three dimensional properties of the object, but because of it ability to show the depth and spatial properties of the object holograms may be a more effective tool in advertising for its visual appeal. This study presents 'hologram'a three dimensional stereo imaging, as the expression technique in advertising of the next generation, and with proper understanding of 'hologram' and of all its potential applications discusses opportunities for advertisements that are distinct from the multi media advertisements of today. The basic concept of Holograms and their application methods were presented in the thesis, and by using Sales Promotion advertisement as example, discussed what elements are required in order to produce an effective advertisement using holograms.

  • The year 2011 witnessed interactive communication media and digital instrument experience a substantial growth in popularity within developed nations as well as developing nations in part due to the ongoing development of internet and information technology. The development of interactive media and technology have contributed to the increased progress of not only digital contents but also to the development of diverse interactive arts. This study will demonstrate how the direction of interactive media moving images through interactive media by utilizing the use of interactive art directing modules which will aid by expressing the theme and the directing concept of the art. To aid in the understanding of interaction directing module, two examples of art works are used as samples cases - "Room Two"(Mixing Lab in a museum; Interactive media art & Experimental mixing, Seoul Art Center, 2006) and a RPG(Role-playing game) style Game. Through these cases, this study intends to enhance the yet insufficient reference for interactive media art and assist artists attempting interactive media moving images through interactive media.

  • Media is the lifeblood of daily life as well as to relieve people's stress has become a cultural content. And last weekend was born in the historical background and circumstances of performance of works of art from the artist's struggle to escape, was born in. space constraints on performance in order to escape from the work of a number of images were combined. 디지털 사이니지의 위치기반 서비스 기술의 현황 및 전망

  • 최근 디지털 사이니지 분야는 광고분야의 한정적 매체 특성을 벗어나 첨단 기술과 서비스 콘텐츠를 결합하여 다양한 분야에서 새로운 형태의 매체로 변화하고 있다. 특히, 광고 업계의 침체와 기존 단순 영상 송출의 한계를 증강현실, 동작인식, 다양한 매체간 목적성 연동, 위치기반 맞춤형 서비스 등을 제공하며 융합적, 결합적 서비스 매체로 진화하고 있다. 2000년대 초 디지털 사이니지의 국내 보급은 국외를 포함해서 보급이 매우 빨랐다. 디지털 사이니지는 광고 목적으로 시작됐지만, 외형적 성장 속도에 비해 매체를 통해 제공되는 콘텐츠, 서비스, 운용 기술 및 S/W 개발 등의 질적 성장은 상대적으로 소극적이었다. 그러나 최근 아시아를 중심으로 한류 열풍이 확산되면서 K-POP, 화장품, 의류, 바이오 등 산업을 중심으로 디지털 사이니지의 수요가 증가하는 추세이며, IT와 융복합되면서 교육, 정보 제공, 예술분야에 적극 활용됨에 따라 국내 디지털 사이니지 산업이 새로운 전기를 맞고 있다. 특히, 위치 기반 서비스는 2000년 후반 차량용 네비게이션 시장을 시작으로 현재 스마트폰에 기본으로 장착되면서 이제는 서비스 전분야에 직/간접적으로 활용되는 다양한 기술이 개발되고 있는 실정이다. 이와 같이 디지털 사이니지는 첨단 기술과 결합하여 다양한 형태의 지능적 처리 능력을 이용함으로써 현재 광범위하게 사용되는 위치 기반 기술과 서비스를 결합한 새로운 매체 인프라로 생활 공간에서 급속히 확산되고 있다. 본고에서는 현재 뜨거운 화두가 되고 있는 디지털 사이니지와 위치 기반 기술의 기술 및 시장 현황을 살펴보고, 기술 및 서비스 융복합에 따른 앞으로의 디지털 사이니지 분야와 결합된 위치 기반 서비스의 미래를 전망해 본다.
