The paper aims to survey some features in the 20th century's semantic analyses of the pictorial representation as a paradigm concept. Here the most typical pattern of paradigms to approach it were thought that one is Referential Semantics which begins with Wittgenstein's Picture Theory, the other, Ontological Semantics concerned with .Langer's Symbol Theory. In the light of paradigm theory, some results acquired are as follows. First, the two paradigms are recognized as those of a mutually different philosophical background. So as far as the researcher is concerned, their arguments are contradictory each other. Second, it must be emphasized that each of them all have a possible aspect of necessary and sufficient requirements. to interpret and analyze the meaning of artistic representation. In result, the Referential and Ontological Semantics can work with a complementary partnership. In short, the referential meaning constructs a infrastructure of the picture, whereas the ontological meaning does it's infrastructure.

This study examined whether preschool children's meta-socialization (conceptions of social situations) and their responses differed by children's social competence. Participants were 74 kindergarten children living in Seoul, Korea. Results showed differences in children's conceptions of social-conventional and personal situations by social competence and differences in children's responses to moral situations by social competence. Children with higher social competence had a tendency to negative social-conventional violations and they showed a general acceptance in personal choices, whereas children with lower social competence made frequent responses of 'retaliatory' and 'involve adults' in moral situations.

This study examined preschool children's conceptions of social situations and mothers' responses toward their children in the home context. Participants were 78 kindergarten children and their mothers living Seoul, Korea. Results indicated that children did not distinguish social-conventional situations from moral situations, but they clearly distinguished social-conventional and moral situations from personal situations. Mothers' reported that they would make indirect responses to children's behaviors in moral situations to highlight intrinsic consequences such as violating others' rights and happiness. In contrast, they said that they would make direct responses such as mentioning rules and manners in social-conventional situations. Mothers supported their children's choices in personal situations unless the situations were dangerous or detrimental to children's health.

Korean Paintings have been drawn on in the main two types of support material - paper and silk. In these things, silk designates picture silk, that of a specially weaved textile for painting since CHO-SUN dynasty, different such as hemp, ramie have been started to use for support material In addition to picture silk. However the structure of hemp and ramie are so close and progue, They are not proper to express the technique of pigments on the back of the paintings. On the other hand, picture silk is efficacious in pigments on the back of the painting with its interval between the strands and translucent textile. As the result, paintings on the silk has many - sided techniques as compared with painting on the papers therfore various devices in conservation have to be considered to deal with the techniques. In this report the focus is on classifying the method of removing the Lining paper according to the several types of expression technique of paintings on the silk.

Computer-assisted animation production tools have an important role in animation production industries. They could reduce the production cost and time, but they rarely copy artistic characteristics of an animators. In this paper, a new computer-assisted line pattern drawing system is proposed. The system automatically copies artistic characteristics of an animator and applies them to computer-generated animations. The artistic characteristics are captured from key frames drawn by an animator. The result shows that the presented approach can copy artistic characteristics from key frames well and reduce time and cost for producing artistic animations.

Street art operates within an already given visual order: the visuality of the modern city in which the regimentation of the image has become fully adaptive to-what Fredric Jameson termed-the logic of late capitalism. What is the relationship between street art and the hegemonic forms of the image dictated by the "city's rulers"? Does street art evoke an alternative kind of spectatorship? Can the unsolicited visual intervention in the life of the city open up an "optics" that resists the reifying patterns of the contemporary gaze? This paper follows Baudrillard's pioneering analysis of graffiti, arguing that the visuality of a certain kind of street images carries an important potential of challenging the hegemonic manner in which the contemporary image has come to dominate the field of vision.

오늘날의 예술은 과거보다는 그 경계를 넓혀 점점 더 빠르게 과학정신에 가까워져가고 과학에 의한 기술과 그 발전이 예술창작에 중요한 매개(Medium)로 작용하여, 과학기술에 의한 인류문명의 격변을 예고하고 있다. 이에 예술가들은 과학기술을 하나의 '새로운 감수성'으로 받아들여 포스트 휴먼(Post human)시대에 인류가 꿈꾸어왔던 새로운 문화를 창조해 인류의 정체성(正體性)을 재정립시킬 것으로 여겨진다. 나는 순수 예술가로서 홀로그램 기술을 응용한 현대예술(회화)을 실험하는 과정에 있으며, 과학적 실험실에 예술적 감수성을 버무려'새로운 패러다임의 예술적 감수성'을 증명하고자 실험하는 작가이다. 이것은 과학과 예술의 융합을 통해 하나의 사회적 공동체로서 함께 인류문명에 기여할 수 있는 어떤 사유(思惟)의 형상화이며, 과학과 그 기술이 예술과 더불어 인류의 미래를 이끄는 혜안(慧眼)이 되어주길 바라는 기대이기도 하다.

Anti-hyperlipidemic effect of Sophorae Fructus in male Spague-Dawley rats induced by high-rich diet were studied. Oral administration of Sophorae Fructus extract significantly decreased serum total cholesterol (TC), LDL-cholesterol, triglyceride (TG), GOT and GPT levels, and incresed serum HDL-cholesterol level and also decreased the level of liver TC, TG, GOT and GPT. These results suggest that Sophorae Fructus extract is effective for the hyperlipidemia.

A study on the thermal stability of commonly used six fillers, such as titanium dioxide, silica, ground calcium carbonate, zeolite, and, clay, showed that most fillers except titanium dioxide were strongly effected by heat treatment. Therefore, the present methods for determination of ash in paper give weight loss due to thermal decomposition of fillers. It was found that a paper ashing method at a temperature of 40$0^{\circ}C$ allows most fillers in their original and undecomposed from. Results presented in this paper also show that X-ray diffraction can be used for qualitative determination of mixed fillers and coating pigments in a paper sheet.
