Numerical Study on Flexural Strength of Reinforced Concrete members Exposed to Fire (가열조건에 따른 철근콘크리트 부재의 휨 강도에 관한 해석적 연구)

  • This Paper describes a numerical method to evaluate the flexural strength of reinforced concrete members exposed to fire. An analytical method is developed for the moment-curvature relationship for the cross section which is subjected to high temperature. The method performs heat-transfer analysis for the cross sections and subsequently performs numerical analysis using the stress-strain relationships of concrete and reinforcing steel in various heat conditions. The results of the numerical studies are ; 1) the residual flexural strength exposing at high temperature is affected by the heating time, the depth of concrete cover and reinforcement ratio, 2) the residual flexural strength after exposed at high temperature is recovered of its original strength at minimum ratio of reinforcement, while members having half of maximum ratio and maximum ratio of reinforcement do not recover its original strength, 3) furthermore, the concrete may reach its maximum capacity before reinforcement yields in reinforced concrete members having maximum ratio of reinforcement.

  • 궤도(track)는 열차가 안전하고 승차감(乘車感)이 좋게 운행되도록 충분한 강도를 가지고 더욱이 양호한 상태로 정비되어 있어야 한다. 일반적으로, 토목구조물(structure)은 하중을 받으면 변위(變位)ㆍ변형하고, 하중이 없게 되면 원래대로 되돌아간다. 즉, 각 부재는 탄성 한계 내로 응력(應力)이 들어가도록 설계된다. 그러나, 궤도는 열차의 하중과 진동을 궤도 자신의 변위 축적으로 흡수하고 있다. 결국, 처음부터 틀림이 진행되어 가는 것을 전제로 한 유일한 구조물이다. 일반적으로는 스프링 하 중량과 축중(軸重)이 큰 차량이 빠르고 대량으로 주행하게 되면 궤도 틀림이 발생하여 진행한다. 궤도 틀림 파형의 성장은 궤도 틀림이라고 하는 공간적인 파형의 시간적인 추이라고 하는 2차원적인 취급이 필요하다. A Proposal of Stress-Strain Relations Model for Recycled-PET Polymer Concrete under Uniaxial Stress (일축 하중을 받는 PET 재활용 폴리머콘크리트의 응력-변형률 모델의 제안)

  • Polymer concrete shows excellent mechanical properties and chemical resistance compared with conventional normal cement concrete. The polymer concrete is drawing a strong interest as high-performance materials in the construction industry. Resins using recycled PET offer the possibility of a lower source cost of materials for making useful polymer concrete products. Also the recycling of PET in polymer concrete would help solve some of the solid waste problems posed by plastics and save energy. The purposed of this paper is to propose the model for the stress-strain relation of recycled-PET polymer concrete at monotonic uniaxial compression and is to investigate for the stress-strain behavior characteristics of recycled-PET polymer concrete with different variables(strength, resin contents, curing conditions, addition of silane and ages). The maximum stress and strain of recycled-PET polymer concrete was found to increase with an increase in resin content, however, it decreased beyond a particular level of resin content. A ascending and descending branch of stress-strain curve represented more sharply at high temperature curing more than normal temperature curing. Addition of silane increases compressive strength and postpeak ductility. In addition, results show that the proposed model accurately predicts the stress-strain relation of recycled-PET polymer concrete

  • 현재 국내에서 사용하고 있는 교량구조물의 성능평가방법으로는 크게 공용하중에 대한 내하율을 구하기 위하여 허용응력개념이나 강도설계 개념을 적용한 내하력 평가 기법이 사용되고 있다. 그러나 위의 방법들은 일반적으로 공용연수의 경과에 따른 재료 및 구조적 성능의 손실과 여러 가지 하중 및 환경적 요인들의 불확실성으로 인하여 발생하는 손상 및 열화를 반영하기 어렵다. 그리고 제원 및 재료물성치의 불확실성에 대한 기존 설계 자료의 DB 부족으로 기존의 평가방법에서는 이러한 시간의 경과에 따른 성능저하를 정확히 산정할 수 없어 이론상의 값과 실제 구조물과의 차이로 인한 불확실성이 존재 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 공용년수 경과에 따른 시설물의 재료 구조적인 성능 및 거동분석 수행, 신뢰성 해석 수행을 바탕으로 교량 안전성 평가의 합리성 및 현실성을 제고하며, 구조 신뢰성 해석을 수행함으로써 실제 구조물의 강도 한계상태에 대한 파괴확률을 산정하고 그에 대응하는 위험도를 평가함으로써 안전성 검토를 수행하였다.

Finite Element Post-buckling Analysis of Steel-Concrete Composite Column (철골-콘크리트 합성기둥의 후좌굴 거동에 관한 해석 연구)

  • The local buckling strength and post-local buckling strength of thin steel plates in the steel-concrete composite column were evaluated by nonlinear finite element analyses. The proposed width-to-thickness limit ratio was based on elastic buckling analyses, in which the increased local buckling capacity of the plate due to the in-filled concrete was considered by the boundary conditions of the thin plate. Considering the initial imperfections and residual stresses, we determined the initial local buckling strength and post-local buckling strength of the thin plates with various width-to-thickness ratios. The formula to evaluate the compressive capacity of the steel-concrete composite column based on the effective width of the plate was proposed. For verification, values determined by the formula were compared with the experimental results.

  • The effects of consolidation stress history including consolidation stress ratio, OCR and cyclic loading with drainage on the undrained shear strength of cohesive soil were investig toted. The ratio$(S_u/\sigma'_{vc})ckou/(S_U/\sigma_{vc})cuv$ was observed to increase with increasing OCR. The equation (1) in this paper by Mayne(1980) for the undrained shear strength of the overconsolidated clay and the equation (4) by Yasuhara(1994), for the postcyclic shear strength were found to be relatively well applicable in the case of Kofonsolidated. It was also suggested that the value of the critical state pore pressure parameter As in these two equations for the in situ shear strength of lightly overconsolidated clay(OCR< 3) be obtained by the standard consolidating test.

The Characteristic for Undrainded Shear Behavior of in Low-Plastic Silt and its Prediction (저소성 실트의 비배수 전단거동 특성과 예측)

  • In this study, undrained triaxial (CU) tests were performed on low-plastic silt of Nakdong River in order to investigate the undrained shear behavior of low-plastic silt. In experimental results, the deviator stress showed the hardening behavior after reaching its yield stress like the tendency of common sand, and the pore water pressure was gradually decreased to critical state after the maximum value. In the effective stress paths, regardless of consolidation stress or overconsolidation ratios, both a critical state line (CSL) and a phase transformation line (PTL) exist in the effective stress path that is similar to the case of sand. The behavior of low-plastic silt was predicted by the Modified Cam-Clay (MCC) model, the Jordan and the Elman-jordan model that is artificial neural network model. According to predicted results, the overall undrained shear behavior of low-plastic silt could not be predicted with the MCC model, but the Jordan and Elman-Jordan model showed well-matched experiment results.

  • In the study, we carried out a 3-D analysis to assess the influence of groundwater level changes on the slope stability, conducting a series of back-numerical analysis to delineate the critical line of the shear strength of the failure surface of a landslide, and a laboratory test to determine the geo-mechanical properties of soil samples. The analysis result shows that the shear strength determined by the laboratory test was distributed below the critical line of shear strength estimated by back-analysis. Differences between driving and resisting force were also analyzed in groundwater conditions of dry and saturation. It appeared that the stress gets greater towards the slope center of the landslide, and the debris mass moves downwards. According to the analysis, the factor of safety becomes 1 with the rise of foundwater level up to -0.85 m from the slope surface, while the slope tends to stay stable during dry seasons.

A Study on the Local Buckling Strength of Stainless Steel 304 (스테인리스 304 강재의 국부좌굴에 관한 연구)

  • Current steel-framed building design codes are based on theoretical and experimental researches on the conventional structural steel. However, the yield phenomenon of austenitic stainless steel, which is characterized by continuous yielding, is quite different from that of conventional structural steel. The offset strength, which should determine the design strength, may affect the limits of width-thickness ratio of current design codes. Stub column test results showed that the limits of width-thickness ratio satisfied both ASD and LRFD codes when 0.2% offset strength was regarded as design strength. In addition, the local buckling strengths of all stainless steel stub columns did not decrease rapidly compared with those of conventional structural steel columns, even though the width-thickness ratio exceeded the design limit.
