학령기 아동의 자기효능감, 사회적 지지가 우울에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Self-efficacy and Social Support on Depression in Elementary School Children)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of self-efficacy, social support, and depression in elementary school children. Methods: The participants of this study were 619 students from seven elementary schools located in Jollabuk-do Province, Korea. The methods included data analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression using SPSS/WIN version 15.0. Results: The mean scores of self-efficacy, social support, and depression were $2.9{\pm}0.58$, $3.2{\pm}0.44$ and $14.0{\pm}7.32$, respectively. There was a significant positive correlation between self-efficacy and social support (r=.517, p<.001). Significant negative correlations were observed between self-efficacy and depression (r=-.557, p<.001) and between social support and depression (r=-.571, p<.001). The variables of depression in elementary school children were self-efficacy and social support, which explained 42.7% of the cases. Conclusion: The findings from this study suggest that current intervention programs are not sufficient to curb depression in elementary school children and therefore it is needed to develop nursing intervention programs to promote self-efficacy and social support.

학령 전이기 유아의 학교준비도 예측요인: 만 1세 영아기 애착안정성과 의도적 통제를 중심으로 (Predictors of Preschooler Readiness for Elementary School: Focusing on Attachment and Effortful Control at Age 1)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was two-fold: first to explore the effects of mother-child attachment and effortful control at age 1 on preschoolers' school readiness at age 6, and second, to determine the mediating effect of a child's effortful control on the relationship between mother-child attachment at age 1 in relation to school readiness at age 6. Methods: Participants in this study were 205 five-year-old toddlers(106 boys, 99 girls) recruited for the Korea Child Panel Study. Mother-child attachment was assessed using the Attachment Q-sort(Waters, 1989). Preschooler's effortful control was measured by the Early Childhood Behavior Questionnaire: ECBQ(Putnam, Gartstein & Rothbart, 2006). Preschooler's school readness was measured by the School Readiness Scale Murphey & Burns, 2002). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlations, and the structural equation modeling analysis. Results: First, mother-child attachment at age 1 effected school readiness at age 6. Effortful control at age 1 effected school readiness at age 6. Second, effortful control at age 1 mediated the effect of mother-child attachment at age 1 in relation to school readiness at age 6. Conclusion/Implications: Mother-child attachment at age 1 affects school readiness at age 6, and toddlers' effortful control at age 1 mediates the relationship between mother-child attachment in relation to school readiness at age 6.

학령기 아동의 컴퓨터게임 이용 양상과 정신병리 (COMPUTER GAME PLAYING PATTERNS AND PSYCHOPATHOLOGY IN SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN)

  • 목 적 : 본 연구는 학령기 아동들의 컴퓨터 게임 이용실태를 조사하고 컴퓨터게임 중독과 관련된 정신병리를 알아보고자 하였다. 방 법 : 서울시 강동구 소재 1개 초등학교 4, 5, 6학년 533명을 대상으로 하여 컴퓨터게임 이용실태에 대한 설문지를 이용하여 일반적인 이용실태를 조사하였고, 인터넷게임중독 척도를 이용해 컴퓨터게임 중독 위험군을 선정하였다. 또한 대상 아동들의 부모에게 아동 청소년행동평가척도(Korean-Child behavior checklist)를 작성하게 하여 이 척도의 하위척도인 사회능력 및 문제행동증후군 척도 점수와 컴퓨터게임 중독과의 상관성을 분석하였다. 결 과 : 응답자의 10.2%는 초등학교에 들어오기 전부터, 67.2%는 초등학교 저학년때 부터 컴퓨터 게임을 시작했으며 주당 게임 하는 일수는 평균 3.66일이었고 하루에 게임 하는 시간은 평균 1.89시간이었다. 컴퓨터 게임을 하는 이유로는 "단순히 재미있어서"라고 응답한 경우가 40.8%로 가장 많았으며 평균 컴퓨터게임중독 점수는 39.95였다. 남학생은 여학생과 비교했을 때 컴퓨터 게임을 시작한 시기, 주당 게임 하는 일수, 하루에 게임 하는 시간, 게임을 하는 이유, 그리고 컴퓨터게임 중독 점수에 있어서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 컴퓨터게임 중독 척도 점수가 아동 청소년행동평가척도의 하위척도들 중 학업수행, 신체증상, 주의집중문제, 내재화 문제와 통계적으로 유의한 상관관계가 있었으나 로짓회귀분석을 시행했을 때에는 주의집중 문제만이 통계적으로 유의하게 컴퓨터게임 중독 위험군 여부를 예측할 수 있는 변인이었다. 결 론 : 초등학교 고학년 아동들이 어릴 때부터 컴퓨터게임을 접하여 평소 많은 시간 게임을 하고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었으며 여러 관련 변인 중 주의집중력문제가 학령기 아동에서 컴퓨터게임 중독과 유의미한 관련성을 보이고 있었다.

원성군민(原城郡民)에 대(對)한 향양조사(響養調査) 보고(報告) (A Report of Nutritional Survey on Wonseong County)

  • 강원도(江原道) 원성군(原城郡) 종합영양(綜合營養) 시범사업(示範事業)의 영양평가(營養評價)의 일익(一翼)으로 해당 영양시범사업시행전(營養示範事業施行前)의 기초자료(基礎資料) 수집을 위(爲)한 예비조사(豫備調査)로서 시행(施行)한 것이다. 조사시행기간(調査施行期間)은 1976년(年) 7월(月) 중순(中旬)에 8일간(日間)에 걸쳐 2명(名)의 의사(醫師)를 포함(包含)한 16명(名)으로 구성(構成)된 조사진(調査陣)으로서 4개리(個里)에서 40개(個) 세대(世帶)(각리(各里)에서 10개(個) 세대(世帶))를 무작위임의선정(無作爲任意選定)하며 한 세대(世帶)에 대(對)하여 연(漣) 3일간(日間) 조사(調査)하고 조사기간중(調査期間中) 식품섭취상태조사(食品攝取狀態調査)와 아울러 신체계측(身體計測) 임상조사(臨床調査) 및 혈액채취(血液採取)를 하여 영양섭취상태(營養攝取狀態), 신체발육상태(身體發育狀態), 임상증상(臨床症狀) 및 혈색소양(血色素量)을 측정(測定)하여 평가(評價)하였다. 특(特)히 학령전기아동(學齡前期兒童)의 영양상태(營養狀態)에 중점(重點)을 두었다. 조사결과(調査結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 1. 일반적(一般的)으로 열양섭취양(熱量攝取量)이 부족(不足)하다. 2. 섭취식품(攝取食品)의 대부분(大部分)이 식물성식품(植物性食品)이고 양질(良質)의 단백질(蛋白質)이 부족(不足)되어 있다. 3. 비타민 A와 $B_2$ 그리고 칼슘 섭취양(攝取量)도 부족(不足)하다. 4. 대상주민(對象住民)의 전체적(全體的)인 임상검사(臨床檢査)로 뚜렷한 영양실조(營養失調)나 결핍증상(缺乏症狀)은 희유(稀有)하나 아동(兒童)에서는 비타민 $B_2$ 부족성(不足性) 증상(症狀)이 많다. 5. 아동(兒童)의 체위(體位)는 대체(大體)로 전국(全國) 평균치(平均値)에 미급(未及)하다. 6. 가임부(可妊婦)의 75%와 아동(兒童)의 23.7%에서 혈색소치(血色素値)가 빈혈(貧血)에 속(屬)하고 있다. 7. 특별(特別)한 이유식(離乳食)이 전무(全無)한 실정(實情)이고 임신부(妊娠婦)나 수유부(授乳婦)를 위(爲)한 보충식(補充食)도 따로 없다.

학령기 빈곤가정 아동의 비만도와 문제행동 양상 (A Study on Obesity and Behavior Problems in Elementary Children Living in Poverty)

  • 목적 연구의 목적은 빈곤가정아동의 문제행동과 비만도의 발생양상을 밝히고 그 관계를 규명하는 것이다. 방법 인천지역 22개의 지역아동센터의 차상위계층과 기초생활수급자 가정의 초등학교 4-6학년 아동 197명을 대상으로 신체검진과, 아동이 직접 아동문제행동검사(K-BASC2)를 수행하였으며, 자료분석은 SPSS17.0을 이용하여 빈도분석과, Mann-Whitney test, Kruskal-Wallis test를 실시하였다. 결과 신체계측결과 중등도이상비만이 9.6%이었다. 문제행동에서는 내면화문제의 위험군이상은 8.6%, 주의력결핍/과잉행동문제 위험군 이상은 22.8%, 학교문제의 위험군은 33.8%, 적응기술에서 49%가 위험군 이상이었다. 이는 2012년 교육과학기술부에서 우리나라 전국초등학생을 대상으로 실시한 정서행동선별검사보다 매우 높은 비율이었다. 성별에 따른 문제행동의 결과는 모든 영역에서 남학생에서 높은 비율이었다. 비만도에 따른 문제행동의 결과는 학교문제와 정서지표에서 비만도 그룹간 차이가 유의한 결과를 보였다. 결론 빈곤가정아동을 대상으로 현재의 학교 체계 안에서 이루어지는 검진시스템보다 더 자주, 주기적으로 점검되어야 하며, 특히 정신, 행동문제의 조기발견과 심각한 질환으로 발전하기 전에 아동 일대일 맞춤치료와 지속적인 상담, 간호중재가 절실히 필요하다. 특히 빈곤가정의 비만한 아동은 정신건강의 스트레스를 많이 받는 만큼, 이 아동들을 질병발생의 위험군으로 선정하고 조기발견, 예방중재, 치료적 상담의 시스템을 아동에게 적용해야 할 필요가 있다.

아동 드레스의 디자인 요소 변화에 따른 이미지 지각 연구 - 광주광역시 만 5~6세 여아 어머니를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Image Perception in Accordance with Changes in Design Elements of Children's Dress - Focusing on Mothers of 5~6 Year-Old Female Children in Gwangju -)

  • The necessity on children dresses for cultural events and emotional aspects in designs have become important according to the development of kids industry and revitalization of party culture, and so grasping emotional requirements of consumers (image perception) is necessary actually. For the purpose of this research, the study used 27 color pictures on the whole bodies of preschool children who wore children dresses that mixed clothing design factors differently (sleeve, skirt length, waist line, materials, color, decoration type and location) through a survey. Regarding the survey objects, this study objected preschool children of 5~6 years old girl's mothers who lived in Gwangju Metropolitan City, and its results were same as follows. First, the mothers evaluated children dresses like 'beautiful,' smart,' 'cute,' 'tidy' images. Second, sleeve, waist line, skirt length, materials, color, decoration type and location appeared to clothing cues affecting influences to overall image perception of children dresses, and decorations were implicated as salient cues that affected greater influences to image perception of children dress wearers than other clothing design factors especially. Based on the research, this study expects that various forthcoming researches have been made continuously, and it could become a guideline for the development of children dress industry afterwards.

유아의 스마트폰 과다사용과 관련한 부모요인 규명: 체계적 고찰 및 메타분석 (Parental Factors Associated with Smartphone Overuse in Preschoolers: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify parental factors associated with smartphone overuse in preschoolers. Methods: A systematic review was conducted according to PRISMA guidelines. Relevant studies published in peer-reviewed journals from 2009 to June 2019 were identified through systematic search in 10 electronic databases (PubMed, CINAHL, Cochrane Central, EMBASE, Web of Science, NDSL, KISS, KMbase, KoreaMed, and RISS). Standardized effect sizes were calculated to quantify the associations of parental factors with smartphone overuse in preschoolers using meta-analysis. Results: A total of 30 cross-sectional studies involving 7,943 participants met the inclusion criteria. The following were negatively correlated with smartphone overuse in preschoolers: mother's parenting self-efficacy (r=-.35), mother-child attachment (r=-.28), mother's positive parenting behavior (r=-.28), mother's positive parenting attitude (r=-.25), and father's parenting involvement (r=-.15). Further, maternal factors such as smartphone addiction tendency (r=.41), parenting stress (r=.40), negative parenting behavior (r=.35), negative parenting attitude (r=.14), smartphone usage time (r=.26), employment status (r=.18), and age (r=.12) were positively correlated with smartphone overuse in preschoolers. Conclusion: Several parental factors influence smartphone overuse in preschoolers. These findings emphasize the need to assess and enhance the parental factors identified in this study to prevent smartphone overuse in preschoolers. Accordingly, we recommend the development of preventive interventions to strengthen parent-related protective factors and mitigate risk factors.

부산지역 학령전 아동의 아연 섭취 및 소변 중 배설실태에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Zinc Intake and Urinary Excretion of Preschool Children in Busan)

  • To assess zinc status by dietary intake and urinary excretion of preschool children in Busan and to evaluate the relationship of intakes of food and nutrient with urinary zinc excretion, zinc food frequencies of 40 common foods affecting intakes of zinc by food fequency method, nutrient intake by 24hr recall and 24hr urinary zinc excretion were measured with 97 preschool children. The mean zinc intake was 4.29 mg and 43.0% of RDA. The mean zinc intake per 1,000 kcal was 3.09 mg.97.9% of subjects had zinc intake less than 75% of RDA. Grains food group was the primary source of zinc intake and supplied 38.9% of the total daily zinc intake. Altogether, plant food products supplied 49.7% of zinc intake. The mean urinary zinc excretion and zinc excretion per gram of creatinine were 0.19 mg and 1.00 mg respectively. The urinary zinc excretion showed positive significant correlations with height and weight (p < 0.05, p < 0.05) , urine volume and urinary creatinine excretion (p < 0.05, p < 0.001) , urinary zinc excretion per creatinine (p < 0.001) , urinary zinc excretion per weight (p < 0.001) , intakes of energy and carbohydrate (p < 0.05, p < 0.01) and usual intake of zinc from eggs food group (p < 0.05) . In conclusion, these results show that the zinc intake of preschool children is low and that sources of dietary zinc are mainly plant foods, suggesting low bioavailability. So nutritional education is needed in order to inc-rease usual intake of animal food group. Interpretation of urinary zinc excretion data is complicated by current uncertainty about "normal" zinc level at this age group. Further studies are needed to obtain extensive data on urinary zinc excretion for this age group.age group.

학령전 아동의 외양-실재 구분과 조망수용 능력의 관계 (Relationship between Children's Appearance-Reality Distinction and Perspective-Taking Ability)

  • The main purpose of this study was to explore the development of knowledge about the appearance-reality distinction and the perspective-taking ability and to examine its relation. The subjects were 104 children, 13 boys and 13 girls each at the age of 3, 4, 5, and 6. The performance of four age groups were compared on illusion appearance-reality, color appearance-reality, perceptual perspective-taking, and cognitive perspective-taking tasks. The data were collected by individual testing and analyzed by the two-way ANOVA with repeated measures, one-way ANOVA and Pearson Correlation Coefficients. The major results were as follows. 1. In children's understanding of the appearance-reality distinction, significant differences were found between 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds, and 5-year-olds and 6-year-olds. While between 4-year-olds and 5-year-olds showed no such differences. Besides, gender did not affect the children's understanding of the appearance-reality distinction. 2. There was significant difference in performance according to the type of tasks. That is 3-year-olds perform better illusion appearance-reality distintion than color appearance- reality distintion, while 4, 5, 6 year old children's performance of color appearance-reality and illusion appearance-reality distinction showed no difference. 3. In children's ability of perceptual perspective-taking, significant difference was found between 3, 4, 5-year-olds and 6-year-old children. And in ability of cognitive and perspective-taking, significant difference was found between 3, 4-year-olds and 6-year-old children. Besides, gender did not affect the children's perceptual and cognitive perspective-taking. 4. The color appearance-reality distinction and perceptual perspective-taking showed significant correlation. That is, the children of high grade for perceptual perspective-taking were better understanding of color appearance-reality distinction.

부산지역 학령전 아동의 식생활평가 : 식품군 식품섭취 상태평가 (Assessment of Dietary Intake of Preschool Children in Busan : Assessment Based on Food Group Intake)

  • To assess diet quality by food group intake and to investigate the interrelationship of age, dietary diversity score(DDS), dietary variety score(DVS), dietary frequency score(DFS), food group intake and nutrient intake with food group intake, a dietary survey was conducted with 176 preschool children aged 1 to 6 in Busan using a 24-hr recall method. Food group intake was assessed by food number consumed and intake frequency by six food groups(grain, meat, vegetable, fruit, dairy, sweets group). The mean food numbers consumed and intake frequencies by six feed group were 3.1 and 4.0 in the grain group, 3.6 and 4.0 in the meat group, 3.5 and 4.1 in the vegetable group, 1.0 and 1.1 in the fruit group, 1.3 and 1.5 in the dairy group, 1.4 and 1.4 in the sweets group respectively. As age increased, the intake frequency of the grain group(p<0.05) increased but that of the dairy group(p<0.05) decreased significantly. The DVS and DFS didn't show significant correlations with intake frequency of the dairy group. The grain group intake had significant positive correlations with intakes of the meat, vegetable, and fruit groups. The vegetable group intake had signigicant positive correlations with intakes of the grain and meat groups. The dairy group intake had significant positive correlation with sweets group intake but negative correlations with intakes of the grain and vegetable groups. As the intake frequency of the meat group increased, the NAR(nutrient adequacy ratios) of all nutrients and NAR(mean adequacy ratio) increased significantly. NARs of provein iron, vitamin B$_1$, niacin had the highest correlation with the meat group intake and those of protein, calcium, phosphorous, and vitamin B$_2$ had the highest correlation with the dairy group intake. NARs of vitamin A and vitamin C had the highest correlation with intake of the vegetable and fruit groups respectively.
