수학적 의사소통의 지도

  • 1989년에 NCTM에서 Curriculum and Evaluation Standards for School Mathematics(이하 Standards)를 발간한 이래로 수학교육은 Standards의 정신에 많은 영향을 받아왔다. 90년대의 수학교육은 학생들의 수학적인 문해능력(literacy)의 중요성을 반영하여 학생들이 수학의 가치를 느끼도록 하며, 자신들의 수학적 능력에 대해서 확신을 가지게 하며, 수학적인 문제해결자가 되도록 하며, 수학적으로 의사소통하는 것을 학습하며, 수학적으로 추론하는 것을 학습함으로서 아동들에게 수학적인 힘을 길러주는데 중점을 두고 있다. 특히 수학적 의사소통능력은 학생들의 수학적인 힘을 기르는데 매우 중요하다. 아동들의 수학적인 의사소통 능력을 향상시키기 위해서 교사는 아동들이 상대방의 아이디어가 받아들일 만한 것인지에 대해서는 비판하고 토론을 하도록 하되 발표한 사람을 비난하는 일이 없도록 각 학급에서는 의사소통과 상호작용에서의 사회적인 규범과 사회-수학적인 규범이 형성되도록 해야 할 것이다. 이런 규범을 바탕으로 교사와 학생이 협력함으로써 서로의 아이디어에 대해 원활한 의사소통을 이룰 수 있다. 그래서 무엇보다 중요한 것은 문화공동체로서의 교실내에 의사소통을 촉진할 수 있는 규범을 형성하는 것이라고 할 수 있다. 이런 규범은 교사 혼자의 노력으로 이루어지는 것이 아니라 교실 구성원 전체의 상호작용에 의해서 장시간에 걸쳐서 형성된다고 할 수 있다.

  • 본 연구에서는 온라인 저지 문항을 블록 프로그래밍 언어로 학습하기 위한 방안에 대해서 탐구하였다. 온라인 저지를 활용한 프로그래밍 교육은 알고리즘을 설계하는 추상화 과정과 이를 프로그래밍 언어로 작성하는 자동화 과정이 포함되며 이는 컴퓨팅 사고력 발달에 영향을 준다. 온라인 저지는 대부분 텍스트 프로그래밍 언어(이하, TPL)에서 지원되어 초보 학습자가 사용하기에 어려움이 있다. 블록 프로그래밍 언어(이하, BPL)를 기반으로 한 온라인 저지는 BPL로 작성한 것을 TPL로 변환하는 방법과 그래픽 기반 문제상황을 해결하는 방법이 있으며 TPL로 변환하는 것은 텍스트 기반 온라인 저지 문항을 사용할 수 있으나 사용하는 방법이 어렵다. 반면 그래픽 기반 문제 상황은 사용하는 방법이 쉽지만 문항이 제한적이고 순차적 사고가 강조된다. 이에 엔트리 '스터디'와 '나의 학급-과제'를 이용하면 자동 평가 기능은 없지만 학습자가 익숙한 환경에서 학습할 수 있고 교사는 문항을 직접 개발할 수 있으며 문제 제시, 예시 작품 제시, 블록 제한, 과제제출 등을 사용하여 BPL에서 온라인 저지 문항을 학습할 수 있다.

The Effects of Student Activity Centered Career Exploring Program on the Career Maturity Level in the Unit "The Choice of Career and Job Morals" of the 9th Grade Technology and Borne Economics (기술$\cdot$가정 9학년"진로의 선택과직업윤리"단원에서 학생활동 중심의 진로탐색 프로그램이 진로 성숙도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purposes of this study are to develop and apply the student activity centered career exploring program and to verify effectiveness on the students' career maturity level. The subjects of this study were 137 students. 4 classes of a middle school in Jinju. They were divided into two groups, the experimental group and the control group. For experiment, the career exploring program was input to the experimental group for 14 class hours. The results of this study are as follows: 1. The student activity centered career exploring program applied to the unit $\ulcorner$The Choice of Career and Job Morals$\lrcorner$ was effective in raising the attitude of the career maturity level. As the result of verifying the differences. there was a statistically significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in the planning quality and the attitude of works. 2. The student activity centered career exploring program applied to the unit $\ulcorner$The Choice of Career and Job Morals$\lrcorner$ was effective in raising the ability field of the career maturity level. The experimental group showed more statistically meaningful differences in the knowledge of jobs, the information exploring, and the self-understanding than the control group. Consequently. the effects of the student activity centered career exploring program on the career maturity level in the unit $\ulcorner$The Choice of Career and Job Morals$\lrcorner$. all the fields of the career maturity level showed the statistically meaningful differences except the independence quality of the attitude field and the decision making of the ability field. So it is concluded that the experiment program elevated the students' career maturity level. However. as the result of analysing independent sample t-test of the pre-test and the post-test. the program was ineffective in the independence quality and the decision making. When this career exploring program is applied to the unit $\ulcorner$The Choice of Career and Job Morals$\lrcorner$. it is recommended to strengthen the activities to cultivate the independence quality and the decision making power.

  • 현대사회가 고도의 정보화 사회로 변화하면서 인터넷을 통해 빠르고, 쉽게 커뮤니케이션을 하거나 정보를 검색, 교환하게 되었다. 이런 시대에 발맞추어 교육내용, 교육방법 등의 변화가 요구되면서 효율적인 수업이나 학급경영의 일환으로 정보통신기술을 활용하는 부분이 늘어나게 되었다. 그러나 지금 실행되고 있는 교사의 ICT활용 능력 평가도구는 활용 능력보다는 기술 소양능력을 평가하여 인센티브를 부여하는데 중점을 두고 있어 교사들의 ICT활용능력을 평가할 수 있는 도구가 필요하다. 따라서 교사의 교육활동과 직무활동 전반에 ICT를 어떻게 활용할 수 있는지를 제시해주고 부담을 주지 않으며 언제든지 자신의 능력을 측정할 수 있는 ICT활용능력 자기평가 도구를 제시하고자 한다.

  • 21세기 정보화 시대에 정보소양함양은 범국가적인 정보화사업추진의 이슈로 떠오르고 있으며 이에 학교는 그 선봉의 역할에 서 있다. 본 논문에서는 학교 교육정보화의 중심인 초등학교 담임교사의 정보소양함양 시스템을 제안하였다. 본 논문의 구성은 다음과 같다. 먼저, 교원 정보소양 개념에 대한 분석에서 시작하여 국내의 정보소양 인증 실태를 조사하였으며, 담임교사로서 학급운영과 학교행정업무에 필요한 구성요소를 분야별로 추출하였다. 이렇게 추출한 구성요소로 작성한 평가 문항을 통해 교사는 자신의 정보소양을 자가 진단할 수 있고 부족한 부분의 영역에 대하여 처방 받을 수 있도록 하였다. 본 초등학교 담임교사 정보소양함양 시스템의 특징은 첫째, 각종 연수 및 정보통신기술 학습에 대한 기초자료를 제공한다. 둘째, 통합형 평가를 개발하고 평가 항목을 다변화한다. 셋째, 수준별/업무별 평가 과정을 개발ㆍ제공한다. 넷째, 자기 주도적 학습력을 항상시킬 수 있다.

The Effects of Home connected Praise and Encouragement Programs on Children's Interpersonal Relationships and Subjective Well-being (가정연계 칭찬.격려프로그램이 초등학생의 대인관계 및 주관적안녕감에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the home connected praise and encouragement program which it affects the interpersonal relationships and subjective well-being of elementary children. To achieve this purpose, 58 fifth grade students were measured based on the interpersonal relationships and subjective well-being scale. Then 29 students were placed in the experimental group while the other 29 children were placed in the control group. The experimental group participated in home connected praise and encouragement program, the control group didn't. The quantitative analysis results verifying the effects of the program were as follows: The experimental group treated by the home connected praise and encouragement program showed significant improvement in interpersonal relationships and subjective well-being compared to the control group. Follows are results from qualitative analysis. First, children have increased positive personal relations with companion, parents, teacher, and improved closeness with family by the home connected praise and encouragement program. Second, children have increased edification of self-confidence, satisfaction in school and home by them. These results supported our hypothesis that the home connected praise and encouragement program effectively improved interpersonal relationships and subjective well-being of elementary school children.

The Effect of Science Writing Activities on High School Students' Scientific Thinking Ability in Life Science I Class (생명 과학I 수업에서 과학 글쓰기 활동이 고등학생의 과학적 사고력에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of science writing activities on high school students' scientific thinking ability in Life Science I class. In order to do this, 6 teaching-learning materials dealing with science writing and an evaluation tool for scientific thinking ability were developed. And the subjects were 224 high school students of 6 classes. As a result of applying science writing activities in Life Science I class, the students' scientific thinking ability was improved. And students' inductive/deductive/critical/creative thinking ability was improved. In addition, in the most of the evaluation criteria of scientific thinking ability, the scores of posttest were higher than those of pretest. The number of students to show higher performance levels was increased. Therefore, science writing activities have positive effect on high school students' scientific thinking ability. This study provides some implications for teaching science writing activities to develop students' scientific thinking ability.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop practical problem based teaching-learning plans and to verify its effect on middle school students' self efficacy, ego resilience, and happiness by focusing on the unit of 'Youth's Self Management' in Technology Home Economics. For this study, the contents of twelve different Technology Home Economics middle school textbooks currently in use and a 2007 curriculum guide were analyzed. Based on the problem based question "What do I need to do to control myself better, be mentally healthier, and live a more independent lifestyle?", seven practical problem based teaching-learning plans on 'Youth's Self Management' unit were developed. 7th grade students of "K" middle school living in Gyeonggi province participated in this study. Three control groups were taught through the traditional lecture-based teaching-learning plans while four experimental groups were taught through the practical problem based teaching-learning lesson plans. The effects of lessons on self efficacy, ego resilience and happiness were analyzed using Analysis of Covariance. Significant positive effects on self efficacy, ego resilience and happiness were found in the experimental group of students.

Impact of Collaborative Problem-Solving Instruction Model on Character Competence of High School Students (협력적 문제해결 중심 교수모델이 고등학교 학생의 인성 역량에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined the effect of the Collaborative Problem-Solving for Character Competence (CoProC) instruction model within the context of secondary science education. The participants of this study were comprised of 143 Korean students, each of whom was in the 10th grade spread across four class cohorts. These cohorts were further divided into an experimental group (comprised of 73 students from two different classes), which received the CoProC program; and a control group (70 students from two other classes), which did not. In order to assess the effect of CoProC instruction model upon participants' character competence, we designed and administered a Character Competence Test for participants. The CoProC instruction model consists of 3 fundamental steps: Preparation, Problem-solving, and Evaluation. Key character competence targeted in the CoProC program include caring, collaboration, communication, responsibility, respect, honesty, self-regulation, and the development of positive self-image. Thus, these same qualities were targeted and analyzed in the Character Competence Test, which was administered before and after the CoProC activities. The results show a significant increase in the experimental group's competency for caring, collaboration, responsibility, respect, and self-regulation when compared to the control group. Based on these results, we have found that CoProC instruction model to be an effective teaching intervention toward cultivating character competence in a secondary science education setting.

Effect of Jigsaw III Cooperative Learning on Science Achievement and Learning Attitude of Middle School Female Students (Jigsaw III 협동학습이 여학생의 과학학업성취도와 과학학습태도에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, Jigsaw III cooperative learning strategy and traditional learning strategy have been applied to the 'electricity' chapter of grade 8 science textbooks to know the effects of learning strategy, gender, and GPA on the students' science achievement and science learning attitude of middle school female students in gender-separated classes. For this purpose, 143 students of 4 classes in separated classes were chosen from a middle school in Daegu. One female class and one male class were assigned to the experimental group and other female class and male class were assigned to the control group. Traditional learning strategy was applied to the control group and the Jigsaw III cooperative learning strategy was applied to the experimental group. Four worksheets for expert groups were used for 18 hours through 5 weeks. Both tests for science achievement and learning attitude were administered as pre and post test. The test results were analyzed through analysis of covariance(ANCOVA) as pre test score as covariant The overall conclusions of this study were as follows: The Jigsaw III cooperative learning has improved science achievement, especially on subjective-type questions, of female students and mid-lower level students. The Jigsaw III Cooperative Learning has also improved self-directed attitude toward science learning. Female students have expressed more positive opinion about the Jigsaw III cooperative learning.
