This study focused on the survey of academic high school students' information needs and their information seeking patterns. On the basis of its results, this study suggested school library services and programs. To do this, this study collected its data through survey and interviews. Specifically, this study discussed 1) the types of academic high school students' everyday concerns and the ways to deal with them. 2) the types and characteristics of their preferred information sources, 3) the school library services and programs for satisfying their information needs.

The Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development is propelling the establishment's project of school library digital resource room under recognizing school library is essential facility that it is to educate students to become autonomous and creative person, to embodies a 7th curriculum in the knowledge base society. There is a necessity which it will analyze demonstrative operating school library digital resource room for maximize to educational effect and to establish efficiently. The development of new technology and the change of educational environment are much influencing the primary and middle school education. The school library which is very important part of school education in order to perform its functions effectively and efficiently must be provided with professional staff, necessary resources and adequate facilities. It is necessary to redesign and renovate existing facilities to meet the growing needs of newly developed school library programs and to effectively manage and allocate physical space appropriately. The objective of this research is to study the theoretical background of the subject and to find out present conditions and future needs of school library facilities and environmental change in Korea through a predesigned questionnaire for a redesign proposal.

With the spread of the maker movement and matching of the standards for the 21st century learners and the maker competencies, there is a social and temporal need for makerspaces building and maker education in school libraries, Prior to the establishment of the school library makerspaces, we intended to investigate the awareness of the school librarian on the creation and operation of the school library makerspaces. For this purpose, a questionnaire was constructed based on the theoretical review and the response data of 171 school librarians were collected through a web survey. Technical statistics, cross-analysis, and ANOVA were conducted using SPSS window 19.0 and content analysis was conducted on open-ended questions. The Questionnaires consisted of questions about whether the school library makerspace was installed or not and necessity, reason, and difficulty in creating and operating the makerspace. As a result of the study, it was found that the establishment of the school library makerspace was very low at 2.3%, and the recognition of the makerspace of the school librarian was below the normal level. On the other hand, the perception of necessity appeared to be more than normal, and the school library was generally considered to be a suitable place for the makerspace installation. However, negative opinions about the school library makerspaces were also raised in various aspects.

This study analyzes the performance of school library rehabilitation project for the past four years. The project was launched in 2002 as a 5-year project from 2003 to 2007. Based on the analysis, the author suggests some considerations for the second phase of the project. First, librarians are the focal point to manage the library newly built and remodeled at a massive budget of 300 billion Korean won. Second, when developing curriculum employing school libraries, the curriculum should be differentiated by grade. class, textbook and even chapter. Third. the project should demonstrate the positive influence of school libraries on students' academic achievement so that the parents and community leaders voluntarily promote school libraries. Forth, the project should examine diverse users to successfully meet their demand. Fifth, the project should incorporate capacity building in librarian training course. It is also crucial that librarians themselves make visible effort to achieve an expert status before students and fellow teachers.

This study aims to identify the effects of teachers' recognition and application of 2015 revised national curriculum on their educational information needs in high schools. Several in-depth interviews and a questionnaire survey with the teachers, who were in charge of teaching common courses, such as Korean language, mathematics, English, social studies, and science, in general public high schools in Incheon, were executed for the purpose. As a result, the teachers' recognition and application affected their educational information needs in part. Especially, new demands on small sized copies and learning information sources were identified which were related to the application of 2015 revised national curriculum. Based on the results, we proposed several improvements of school library operations, such as small sized local consortium for sharing resources and providing referral services, in order to strengthen the gateway role of school libraries.

This paper aims to propose ways to promote SNS marketing at school library sites with case study analyses in school libraries. To this end, in-depth interview was conducted with 10 Teacher Librarians who had used SNS in library operation and an in analysis was made of the operation status, motives and objectives, strategies and performances of the school library's SNS marketing. According to the study, most Teacher Librarians were found to be using SNS such as Facebook, Instagram, Kakao Plus Friends and so on in an attempt to improve accessibility and utilization of the library resources first. Not only that, they used SNS for the purpose of communicating with users while increasing the number of visitors and identifying the needs of users. The messages provided through SNS are information on school libraries and their reading programs, and the target market mainly involved their students. Based on the above research results, measures to promote SNS in school libraries were discussed, including the need for marketing consultative bodies, expansion of SNS targets, and enhancement of expertise in SNS.

This study has proposed the balanced scorecard for the development of BSC of school library; this study has thus analyzed the forerunners of similar research on the balanced scorecard. For the hierarchial process analysis of the balanced scorecard, librarians and experts of related fields were polled using the AHP method. Some of the major categories for the balanced scorecard(36 categories total) are disposition of librarians, development of user-demand reflecting system, user education, adequacy of faculty-education aid accommodation, location of library, etc.

The school library provides a mobile web service that allows access to the library catalog system, and provides services that reflect the needs of search and consider the characteristics of mobile devices. Therefore, this study conducted a literature review, an analysis of the current status of school library mobile web services, and a survey of the mobile service user experience of students and teachers to find the contents and service plans for school library mobile app services that meet the school library mobile needs. Based on the survey, the contents and design plan of the school library DLS mobile service was prepared. First, the steps were reduced from step 4 to step 3. In the first step, solution of screen clipping errors in registering as a member and various login platforms for accessibility are needed. In the second step, integrated search and detailed search, provision of materials for use and reading education, post-booking activities, guides and announcements on the use of the affiliated school library, inter-loan, and e-books are provided as main menu. In the third step, it was proposed to provide related functions such as reservations as well as the display of the detailed screen of the search results of the collection. This study can be used not only to develop dedicated mobile app services, but also to change current web-based mobile services.
