Automatic Classification of Web Documents Using Concept-Based Keyword Information (개념 기반 키워드 정보를 이용한 웹 문서의 자동 분류)

  • 본 연구에서는 웹 문서를 분류하기 위해서 분류하고자 하는 영역(category)에 대한 개념 지식을 이용한다. 먼저, 영역별 개념 지식을 기구축된 웹 문서의 집합으로부터 제목과 하이퍼링크에 기반한 앵커 텍스트를 이용하여 개념을 보유한 키워드를 추출한다. 추출된 키워드를 형태소 분석을 통해 색인어로 추출한다. 추출된 색인어에 대해 TFIDF를 확장한 영역 적용 색인 가중치 TFIDFc를 적용하여 영역별 개념 기반 색인어와 색인를 구축한다. 색인은 TFIDF를 영역별로 확장하여 구축한다. 구축된 영역별 개념 기반 색인을 이용하여 새로운 웹 문서에 대해서 어떤 영역에 해당하는 가를 결정하는 자동 분류 알고리즘을 수행한다. 자동 분류 알고리즘에 의해 수행된 문서는 영역별로 정리되며, 또한, 분류된 웹 문서의 색인어는 새로운 개념 기반 키워드로 추출되어 개념 기반 영역 지식을 구축한다.

  • 본 논문에서 소개할 온라인 앨범 사이트는 텍스트 기반의 이미지 검색과 색상 기반 검색이 가능한 검색 엔진을 갖추었다. 기존의 검색 엔진들은 매우 단순한 키워드 매칭만을 통하여 이미지를 검색하여 그 결과 이미지와 사용자가 찾고자 하는 이미지 사이의 유사성이 낮은 경우가 많았다. SUMMIT(Sejong University MultiMedia Information Technology)은 등록된 각 사용자에게 개별 공간을 할당하여 사용자가 스스로 원하는 이미지를 업로드하거나 다운로드하게 한다. 또한, 각 사용자는 자신이 구성한 앨범 내에서의 키워드 검색과 내용기반 검색을 수행할 수 있으며 다른 사용자가 공개한 이미지나 시스템 데이터베이스에 저장된 이미지까지 포함한 포괄적인 검색 결과도 획득할 수 있다. 본 시스템은 각 사용자별 페이지 내에서의 검색이 가능하므로 검색의 정확도와 활용도를 높일 수 있다. 사용자는 SUMMIT에 올린 이미지나 타인이 공개한 이미지를 자신 혹은 기타 홈페이지에 직접 하이퍼링크할 수 있으며 어느 페이지에서도 같은 이미지 링크 태그를 사용할 수 있다는 용이함도 취할 수 있다.

  • 본 논문은 SMIL의 작성 시에 편리함을 제공하기 위한 시각적 편집 도구를 제안한다. SMIL은 서로 다른 미디어간의 동기화를 가능하게 하는 스크립트 언어이다. SMIL은 텍스트 편집기를 통하여 작성되는데 이는 작성에 있어 직관적인 면이 없어 많은 불편함을 갖는다. 따라서 시각적 편집 도구가 필요하며 이를 구현하기 위해 본 논문에서는 SMIL의 작성을 프리젠테이션과 하이퍼 프리젠테이션의 두 측면에서 설계하였으며 시각적 편집 도구 구현에는 멀티미디어 아이콘 프로그램 도구인 VIP를 확장하여 완성하는 방법을 택하였다. VIP를 확장함으로써 SMIL 번역이라는 기본 목적 외에 부가적으로 MuX의 공간적 동기화에 관련된 기능의 한계를 극복할 수 있게 된다.

Obscene Material Searching Method in WWW (WWW상에서 음란물 검색기법)

  • World-Wide Web(WWW) is a protocol for changing information exchanges which is central to text documents in the existing network to make a multimedia data exchanges. It is possible for a beginner to search and access data which he wants to find as data were stored in the form of hypertext. The easiness for searching and accessing the multimedia data in WWW makes a important role for obscene materials to be toward generalization and multimedia and occurs social problems for them to be commercialized, while other researchers have actively studied the way to block effectively the site providing obscene materials for solving such problems. This paper presents and implements the blocking method for the sites having obscene material as it effectively search them. The proposed model was based on Link-Based information retrieval method and proved that it accomplished more efficient retrieval of relevant documents than probabilistic model when compared the one with the other which is known to generate the most correct results. The improvements in the average recall and precision ratio were shown as 12% and 8% respectively. Especially, the retrieval capability of relevant documents which include non-text data and have a few links increased highly.

  • The object of this study is to find ways of a creation and an usage of cultural contents, based on the survey of the culture archetype facts, the culture elements and the narrative structure of 'Geotagi folk tale'. This story takes its place as our cultural archetype, because of its perfect narrative structure and the myth-like features in the story line. Additionally, various cultural elements implied in the text have the world wide universality as well as the unique traditional characters of Korea. Thus, for above reason, 'Geotagi folk tale' can be helpful in creating the new cultural contents. In creating and using the cultural contents of 'Geotagi folk tale', the first way is to build up the Digital contents including the data base of the original text and others, and the creation of graphics. The second way is to create the story bank utilizing hypertext. The third way is to make flash animations or games concerning the folk tale. and the fourth way is to to develop the symbols of the folk tale as animation characters.

  • Foods are cultural texts. Recipes, cultural peculiarities, and relationships between people. Foods can expand into narratives. This study will compare and analyze the characteristics of the Korean - Japanese visual texts, and . The aim of this study is to examine the between-space and gender, and to examine the universality and specificity of the text of Korean - Japanese image culture. If the movie reproduces the world of reality fictionally from the viewpoint of the between-space, it can be seen that the artistic has differentiation by realistically reproducing the fictional world, but universally creates the hyper reality. Second, in the dimension of gender, both images suggest universality in which the dissolution of sex role becomes paradoxical product. However, has differentiation from the fact that it presents the aspect of gender equality more specifically.

Hybrid Urbanscapes of PC Bangs and Their Socio-Spatial Effects on Human Bodies (피시방의 혼성적 도시경관과 인간 육체에 대한 사회-공간적 영향)

  • This paper suggests an inquiry into the characteristics and implications of urbanscapes produced by Internet cafes, widely called PC Bangs in Korea, and their effects on the motions and boundaries of human bodies as cyborgs which exist in between actual and virtual spaces or between human and machine spaces in PC Bangs. The paper, which is organised into two main sections, first investigates the streetscapes of PC Bangs as electronic architectural spaces and suggests the urban electronic space of PC Bangs in terms of hypertext space. Then, it looks at the effects of PC Bangs on human bodies which exist as human-machine hybrids or cyborgs in PC Bangs. The paradoxical socio-spatial characteristics of PC Bangs as third, liminal or hybrid spaces between actual and virtual spaces or between human and machine spaces can be explained as follows. Firstly, there appear both nomadic and sedentary landscapes in that people in PC Bangs move in virtual spaces on the one hand, and are static in actual spaces on the other hand. Secondly, both open and closed spaces are shaped in that although PC Bangs act as open or public electronic spaces, they involve invisible social boundaries, forming the gendered space of masculinism. Thirdly, the boundaries of the human body are extended and are shrunk at the same time in that while the sensory boundaries of the body in PC Bangs are extended through electronic networks, its social boundaries are shrunk through the imaginary space of solipsism. Thus and finally, PC Bangs can be characterised not only as social spaces entailing embodied and gendered landscapes, but also as non-places involving the cyborg landscapes of human-machine connections.

  • The development of internet technology has brought many changes in education as well as in overall society and especially, web-based instructions have been rapidly increasing. Unlike the conventional education environment, many web-based instructions offer multimedia effects with text, graphics, sound, animation, video, and so on via internet. In addition, by using the hypermedia functionality, they help students to navigate anywhere they want to go. However, the web-based instructions have been evaluated by the same criteria as the conventional courses. This paper develops the course evaluation items for web-based instruction and compares the results of course evaluation for the web-based instructions and the conventional courses.

  • Knowledge organization is the way we humans understand the world. There are two types of information organization mechanisms studied in information retrieval: namely classification md clustering. Classification organizes entities by pigeonholing them into predefined categories, whereas clustering organizes information by grouping similar or related entities together. The system of the Internet information resources extracts a keyword from the words which appear in the web document and draws up a reverse file. Term clustering based on grouping related terms, however, did not prove overly successful and was mostly abandoned in cases of documents used different languages each other or door-way-pages composed of only an anchor text. This study examines infometric analysis and clustering possibility of web documents based on co-link topology of web pages.

  • With the improvement of the web-technology, web-based cyber education is progressing from the text-based to the hyper-based including multimedia, and from one way of simply giving the contents to the learner to another way of providing mutual interaction between instructors and learners. There are several fields using the dynamic application and multimedia contents. RIA(Rich Internet Application), which. is the new paradigm of the web, provides clients with more effective and rich contents, combining the dynamic application and multimedia contents. With the existing web script language, a lot of time and efforts will be very needed to provide learners with various and rich contents. In this paper, we compare the efforts in developing the RIA based education system with the Non-RIA based education system, then experiment the characteristics of the RIA based education system
