  • 지능형 자동차는 역사가 깊은 연구 분야이다. 과거에는 낮은 하드웨어 성능에 맞추기 위하여 복잡한 알고리즘을 경량화하면서 성능을 유지하고자 하는 제한적인 연구들이 주로 이루어졌으나, 최근 하드웨어 성능이 높아지면서는 다양한 알고리즘 적용이 가능해졌기 때문에 매우 활발하게 연구되는 분야가 되었다. 본 논문은 차량의 주행 특성을 반영한 움직임 벡터 필드 모델링을 수행하고, 이 모델 값과 실제 추정된 움직임 벡터와의 차이를 이용해서 차량의 후보 영역을 검출하는 객체 영역 검출 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안하는 움직임 벡터 필드 모델링 기법은 기존의 움직임 벡터 추정 기법에 비해 계산량이 적고, 음영 영역이나 밝기가 포화된 영역에서도 움직임 필드를 모델링해낼 수 있는 장점이 있어서 상용화된 블랙박스에 적용이 가능하다.

The Analysis of Characteristics of Swell in Korea using the Ubiquitous Measurement System (유비쿼터스 관측시스템을 이용한 국내 너울의 특성규명에 관한 연구)

  • The swell is a major cause of interruption for the activity in a port and the ship navigation in coastal waters, coastal geographical changes, and the disaster with a loss of lives. However, many researches about the observation and the prediction of swells have not been conducted actively due to the difficulties to collect and synthesize the massive amount of long term field data for waves and meteorological information. In this study, the internet-based realtime monitoring system(Fieldbox) was developed to collect the wave data. The characteristics and main components of swells occurred in Korea were analyzed using wave data observed through the Fieldbox and the meteorological data collected by the KMA(Korea Meteorological Administration) and NASA(National Aeronautics and Space Administration). The characteristics of the swell generation patterns were analyzed using the monthly data of the Kwangan Tower between 2004 and 2006 to estimate the specific features such as sources and locations of swells generated in Korea.

A Method for Field Based Grey Box Fuzzing with Variational Autoencoder (Variational Autoencoder를 활용한 필드 기반 그레이 박스 퍼징 방법)

  • Fuzzing is one of the software testing techniques that find security flaws by inputting invalid values or arbitrary values into the program and various methods have been suggested to increase the efficiency of such fuzzing. In this paper, focusing on the existence of field with high relevance to coverage and software crash, we propose a new method for intensively fuzzing corresponding field part while performing field based fuzzing. In this case, we use a deep learning model called Variational Autoencoder(VAE) to learn the statistical characteristic of input values measured in high coverage and it showed that the coverage of the regenerated files are uniformly higher than that of simple variation. It also showed that new crash could be found by learning the statistical characteristic of the files in which the crash occurred and applying the dropout during the regeneration. Experimental results showed that the coverage is about 10% higher than the files in the queue of the AFL fuzzing tool and in the Hwpviewer binary, we found two new crashes using two crashes that found at the initial fuzzing phase.

Acceleration of Terrain Rendering Using Bounding Box Subdivision (바운딩 박스 세분화를 통한 지형 렌더링의 가속화)

  • Recent terrain rendering applications such as 3D games and virtual reality, use GPU-based ray-casting method for rendering high-quality scenes in realtime. As the size of terrain dataset grows bigger, the rendering speed will be decreased by the increase of the number of texture samplings. To accelerate the conventional ray-casting, we propose an efficient ray casting method with subdivided bounding boxes which are based-on GPU quadtree traversal. The subdivision of the terrain's bounding box can reduce the empty spaces effectively. By performing the ray-casting with this compact bounding box, we can efficiently reduce computation with empty space skipping. Unlike the recent quadtree-based empty space skipping techniques which perform the tree traversal at each ray, our method traverses the tree only once per frame. Therefore, we can save much computational time.

  • The quality certification test is usually conducted by a certifying organization to determine and guarantee the quality of software after the software development phase, commonly without the actual source code, but with by going against the product's manual. In this paper, we implement a Manual-based Automatic Test data generating tool: MaT, the test technique based on manual, that automatizes producing the test data from analysis data of software package and manual. The input data of MaT are the result of the analysis of software and manual. We propose 'menu-based test analysis model' in order to generate the input data. We believe that the proposed technique and tool he]p improving quality and reliability of the software.

  • 디지털 TV 방송이 본격적으로 보급됨에 따라 2004 년 후반부터 각 방송사들은 디지털 방송네트워크의 설계를 위해 본격적인 전계강도 실측을 실시하고 있다. DTV 신호 측정에는, 가장 기준이 되는 전계강도 측정기를 비롯하여 DTV 복조기(demodulator), 각종 셋톱박스, 위성항법장치(GPS)를 이용한 지형정보시스템(GIS) 등 많은 장비가 필요하고 측정항목도 다양하여, 한 지역을 측정하는데 많은 시간이 소요될 뿐 아니라 측정자의 숙련도에 따라 측정결과의 정확도와 신뢰도가 떨어질 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제들을 해결하기 위해 다양한 계측장비와 운용장비의 제어를 체계적으로 관리하고 측정절차를 일반화하며 측정결과 데이터를 데이터베이스화하여 측정결과를 용이하게 파악할 수 있는 통합 측정 시스템을 제안한다. 또한, 본 시스템은 측정 뿐 아니라 지형정보시스템과 전계강도 예측시스템을 도입하여 측정지점 주변의 수신환경 분석 및 최적 수신위치의 검색정보 등을 제공하며, 다량의 측정결과에 대한 다양한 분석이 가능하여 커버리지 분석 및 송신 네트워크의 설계 등에 활용될 수 있다.

Analysis on DTV Indoor Reception Environments (디지털 TV 실내수신 환경 분석)

  • DTV has a great advantage as compared to Analog TV in picture quality under low reception field strength. Various high quality tuners have been developed to result in much smaller Noise Figure of the receivers and many trials for receiving DTV signal through indoor antenna. In this paper, results of intensive field tests on the indoor reception of DTV are presented. Tests were carried out around Seoul-Gyeonggi Metropolitan area. Commercial directional and omni-directional antennas and 5th generation receiver were used for reception availability tests. The effects of heights, locations, and types of the house as well as the distance to the transmitter on the reception performances are analyzed. Our test results will be applied to improve the indoor reception environment of DTV.
