We design and implement a new case-based recommender system using implicit rating information for a digital content site. Our system consists of the User Profile Generation module, the Similarity Evaluation and Recommendation module, and the Personalized Mailing module. In the User Profile Generation Module, we define intra-attribute and inter-attribute weight deriver from own's past interests of a user stored in the access logs to extract individual preferences for a content. A new similarity function is presented in the Similarity Evaluation and Recommendation Module to estimate similarities between new items set and the user profile. The Personalized Mailing Module sends individual recommended mails that are transformed into platform-independent XML document format to users. To verify the efficiency of our system, we have performed experimental comparisons between the proposed model and the collaborative filtering technique by mean absolute error (MAE) and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) values. The results show that the proposed model is more efficient than the traditional collaborative filtering technique.

e-Learning 분야는 정부, 기업, 학교 등 많은 조직에서 교육을 위한 수단으로 사용되어지고 있다. 이러한 e-Learning은 독립적인 운영플렛폼의 개발부터 웹 기반의 코스웨어(Courseware)까지 발전해왔다. 코스웨어는 컴퓨터 전달 체제를 통하여 교수-학습 과정을 촉진시켜 명시된 교수 목표 하에 학습자의 지식과 기능의 바람직한 변화를 목적으로 설계 및 개발된 교육용 소프트웨어와 데이터라고 할 수 있다. 또한 컴퓨터 언어 및 저작도구(Authoring Tools)를 이용하여 각 과목별 교육내용을 음성, 그림, 애니메이션, 동영상 등의 다양한 형태로 제시될 수 있도록 저작된 프로그램으로 주로 눈으로 보고 귀로 들으면서 학습하는 유형이다. 현재 코스웨어에서 제공되는 정보는 학습에 대한 정보와 교수정보 그리고 Client의 학습 진행 상황 등을 제공한다. 하지만 학습에 연관된 다른 학습이나 학습에 관련된 교수들의 전공정보, 또한 학습에 관련된 어플리케이션 등을 검색하려 할 때는 하나하나 따로 검색을 해야 하는 어려움이 따른다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 학습에 대한 목적과 관련학습, 관련교수, 관련연구, 관련 어플리케이션 등의 연관성을 토픽맵(TopicMap)을 이용하여 학습에 대한 더 정확한 정보를 쉽게 검색할 수 있게 한다. Client가 찾으려는 토픽을 중심으로 연관된 토픽과 카테고리를 나열하여 수작업으로 인한 검색시간과 잘못된 키워드 검색을 해결하였다.

The objective of the research is to automatically recognize railway objects from MLS data in which 9 key objects including terrain, track, bed, vegetation, platform, barrier, posts, attachments, powerlines are targeted. The proposed method can be divided into two main sub-steps. First, multi-scale contextual features are extracted to take the advantage of characterizing objects of interest from different geometric levels such as point, line, volumetric and vertical profile. Second, by considering contextual interactions amongst object labels, a contextual classifier is utilized to make a prediction with local coherence. In here, the Conditional Random Field (CRF) is used to incorporate the object context. By maximizing the object label agreement in the local neighborhood, CRF model could compensate the local inconsistency prediction resulting from other local classifiers. The performance of proposed method was evaluated based on the analysis of commission and omission error and shows promising results for the practical use.

Online recruitment services have emerged as one of the most popular Internet services, providing job seekers with a comprehensive list of jobs and a search engine. But many recruitment services suffer from shortcomings due to their reliance on traditional client-pull information access model, in manay cases resulting in unfocused search results. Worldjob+, being operated by The Human Resources Development Service of Korea, addresses these problems and uses Splunk, a platform for analyzing machine data, to provide a more proactive and personalised services. It focuses on enhancing the existing system in two different ways: (a) using personalised automated matching techniques to proactively recommend most preferrable profile or specification information for each job opening announcement or recruiting company, (b) and to recommend most preferrable or desirable job opening announcement for each job-seeker. This approach is a feature-free recommendation technique that recommends information items to a given user based on what similar users have previously liked. A brief discussion about the potential benefit is also provided as a conclusion.

A Next Generation Network (NGN) is a packet-based network able to provide services including Telecommunication Services and able to make use of multiple broadband, QoS-enabled transport technologies and in which service-related functions are independent from underlying transport-related technologies. It offers unrestricted access by users to different service providers. It supports generalized mobility which will allow consistent and ubiquitous provision of services to users In this paper, we explain the trend of standardization activity related with open services in ITU-T SG13(Study Group 13). ITU-T SG13 is responsible for studies .elating to the architecture, evolution and convergence of next generation networks including frameworks and functional architectures, signalling requirements for NGN.

오늘날 전 세계적으로 가속화되는 기상이변에 따라 돌발성, 국지성 폭우 및 폭설의 빈도가 급격히 증가하는 추세이다. 이 같은 돌발기상 현상은 고층 건물과 인구의 과밀화로 인해 열섬효과가 자주 발생하는 도심지에서 특히 높은 발생률을 보이며, 그로 인한 막대한 인명 및 재산상의 피해가 발생하고 있는 실정이다. 하지만 이러한 돌발성 강수 현상들은 주로 저고도에서 생성 및 발달되며, 그 수명은 2~3시간에 불과하기 때문에 현재의 국내 기상관측 시스템으로는 예측 및 예보에 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다. 현재, 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 국내 관련 기관들에서는 도심지를 중심으로 한 저층 기상 관측을 위한 소형 레이더 네트워크 구축을 계획하고 있다. 그와 함께, 본 논문에서는 향후 도입될 소형 레이더 네트워크의 활용성을 증대시키고, 기상재해의 피해를 줄이는 방법으로써, 구글 어스의 지도 서비스를 기반으로 한 기상 레이더 자료 활용 실시간 돌발성 기상재해 감시/추적 및 경보 시스템 플랫폼을 제안한다. 제안하는 플랫폼은 전 세계적으로 통용되는 GIS 엔진으로서, 높은 확장성이 장점인 구글어스 플랫폼을 바탕으로 하며, 레이더 자료 분석 도구, 위험도 판별 도구 및 자료 표출/경보 도구 등으로 크게 세 가지의 기술도구 집단으로 구성된다. 제안한 플렛폼 상에서 시뮬레이션을 통해 구글어스 기반에서 레이더 누적강수량의 실시간 처리와 3차원 GIS 기반에서의 직관적인 경보 메시지 표출을 구현하였으며, 향후 각 기술 도구들 상의 기법들을 연구 및 개선함으로써 국토관측센서 네트워크 및 기상 재해 예 경보 체계를 위해 활용되어질 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

In this paper, we analyze process of implementing and successful enabler of Postal Logistics Integrated Information Systems(PostNet) through a case study on Korea Post. PostNet was integrated by considering contingently organizational integration (organizational structure redesign), strategical integration (business process reengineering), and technical integration(data integration, application integration, and integrated platform implementation). And also integration was implemented for supporting three aspects. PostNet has implication for advanced integration with business mission and operational efficiency by comparing integration with physical level and hardware level. Korea Post has the biggest logistics network, organization, and service in logistics industry area. The results of this paper will suggest theoretical framework for the future information system integration, and will be utilized as a practical guideline for the information system integration.

In recent decades, product variety has increased dramatically in most industries. Rapidly evolving technologies, global competition, and sophisticated customers have contributed to an increase in product variety in many industries. In this paper, I study the impact of product variety on several businesses in the supply chain through literature review. By study of literature. this paper presents the benefits and drawbacks of increasing product variety on functions performed in several departments, such as engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, logistics and marketing. It provides a brief overview of the various techniques like modularity, component sharing, and platform-based development, which are helpful in reducing the costs, when designing for variety. It also provides a brief overview of order processing, purchased component/part variety, which are helpful in reducing the purchasing costs, and customer satisfaction, market advantage, market share, competitive advantage and demand forecast, which are useful in impact of product variety on marketing. Future research directions are discussed.

In an proposed Context-Aware SOA(Service Oriented Architecture) based OSGi(Open Service Gateway initiative) platform, Service provider manages relative kinds of services in an integrative basis from various sensors, puts each service in a SOAP (Simple Object access Protocol) message, and register thorn to the UDDI(Universal Description Discovery and Integration) server of service registry, service requester retrivel the specified kinds of services and call them to service provider. Recently most context-aware technologies for ubiquitous home network are mainly putting emphasis on RFID/USN and location-based technology. Because of this, service-oriented architecture researches have not been made enough. Under the environment of an OSGi service platform, various context-aware services are dynamically mapping from various sensors, new services are being offered for the asking of users, and existing services are changing. Accordingly, the data sharing between services provided, management of service life cycle, and the facilitation of service distribution are needed. Taking into considering all these factors, this study has suggested an Context-Aware SOA based eclipse SOA Tools Platform using OSGi platform that can transaction throughtput of more than 546 TPS of distributional Little's Law from ATAM(Architecture Tradeoff Analysis Method) while remaining stable other condition.

As a new academic publication model is attempted to improve the transparency, efficiency, and speed of scientific knowledge production and distribution, the open peer review platform for verification and openness of peer review history is also activated. Publons is a global platform for tracking, validating, disclosing, and recognizing the peer-reviewed histories of more than 3 million researchers worldwide. This study analyzed the review activities of 579 researchers from domestic universities who are actively reviewing international journals through Publons. As a result of the analysis, first, researchers from domestic universities who actively review international academic journals were found to be in the fields of medicine and electrical and electronics, and in most fields, assistant professors or higher with high WOS indexed research papers are participating. Second, there was a long-tail phenomenon in which a small number of reviewers with extremely high number of review papers existed in all academic fields, and there was no significant difference in the number of review papers and review report length depending on the nationality, academic status, and age of the reviewers. Lastly, although there was a weak correlation between the amount of papers reviewed by reviewers and the number of published papers, it was found that researchers with an extremely large number of reviews do not necessarily produce as many research papers.
