  • Magnetic force calculation methods such as Maxwell stress, virtual work principle, equivalent magnetic charge, and equivalent magnetizing current are widely used until now. The force density is still controversial issue even though it is common sense that all of these methods have legitimate results. The surface force densities of each method are quite different with each other in the point of numerical result and final expression. In this paper, it is shown that a unified expression of body force density is derived using virtual air-gap scheme for an analytic model in which cylindrical magnetic material with a vertical current runs through its center.

  • 국내·외 유해화학물질 유출로 인한 하천오염사례가 많이 일어나고 있다. 이때 수질의 농도측정은 직접 도섭으로 하천의 정보 대한 정보를 취득하기 어렵기 때문에 간접적인 방법으로의 정보취득이 중요시 되어야 한다. 그에 따른 방법으로 주입식의 표면부자를 활용한 방법 이용한 수질농도 측정방법 등이 있다. 하지만 이런 농도추정은 이동확산으로 인한 변위가 커지게 되어 시간간격 설정에 대한 어려움 등이 있고, 수질오염에 대한 추적이 가능할 수 있을지에 대한 분석연구가 필요하다. 따라서 이러한 수질농도의 대한 분석을 실시하여 고성능 GPS전자부자를 이용한 추적이 필요하다. Lab-Scale에서 GPS 전자부자를 이용하여 수질정보취득에 일반항목인 수온, PH, EC, DO을 측정함으로써 일반항목에 대한 상관관계와 그에 따른 관계곡선을 제시하고, 고성능 GPS 전자부자를 이용한 측정결과와 YSI를 이용한 측정결과를 비교분석하여 농도경향에 대한 추적으로 오염물질이나 유해화학물질의 정보전달을 통해 원인분석 및 예상경로를 파악할 수 있다. 또한 간접적인 측정을 통해 진행되고 실시간으로 정보를 취득할 수 있기 때문에 수질측정에 접근성 및 안정성 까지 확보할 수 있다. 더 나아가 홍수시 사용뿐만 아니라 기본에 사용되는 수질측정 방법의 한계점까지 보완할 수 있다. GPS 전자부자의 지속적인 연구는 향후 하천 측정 시스템에 많은 도움을 줄 것으로 사료된다.

Physical and Mechanical Properties on Ipseok-dae Columnar Joints of Mt. Mudeung National Park (무등산국립공원 입석대 주상절리대에 대한 물리역학적 특성)

  • This study is to evaluate the physical and mechanical properties on the Ipseok-dae columnar joints of Mt. Mudeung National Park. For these purposes, physical and mechanical properties as well as discontinuity property on the Mudeungsan tuff, measurement of vibration and local meteorology around columnar joints, and ground deformation by self-weight of columnar joints were examined. For the physical and mechanical properties, average values were respectively 0.65% for porosity, 2.69 for specific gravity, 2.68 g/cm3 for density, and 2411 m/s for primary velocity, 323 MPa for uniaxial compressive strength, 81 GPa Young's modulus, and 0.25 for Poisson's ratio. For the joint shear test, average values were respectively 3.15 GPa/m for normal stiffness, 0.38 GPa/m for shear stiffness, 0.50 MPa for cohesion, and 35° for internal friction angle. The JRC standard and JRC chart was in the range of 4~6, and 1~1.5, respectively. The rebound value Q of silver schmidt hammer was 57 (≒ 90 MPa). It corresponds 20% of the uniaxial compressive strength of intact rock. The maximum vibration value around the Ipseok=dae columnar joints was in the range of 0.57 PPV (mm/s)~2.35 PPV (mm/s). The local meteorology of surface temperature, air temperature, humidity, and wind on and around columnar joints appeared to have been greatly influenced the weather on the day of measurement. For the numerical analysis of ground deformation due to its self-weight of the Ipseok-dae columnar joints, the maximum displacement of the right ground shows when the ground distance is approximately 2 m, while drastically decreased by 2~4 m, thereafter was insignificant. The maximum displacement of the middle ground shows when the ground distance is approximately 0~2 m, while drastically decreased by 3~10 m, thereafter was insignificant. The maximum displacement of the left ground shows when the ground distance is approximately 5~6 m, while drastically decreased by 6~10 m, thereafter was insignificant.

프레스다이용 코일스프링의 신뢰성평가 및 고장분석 사례 발표

  • 프레스다이용 코일스프링은 자동차 및 전자제품의 외형생산에 필요한 금형 내에 장착되는 금형용 스프링으로서 녹아웃 및 스트리퍼 등에 사용되고 있다. 프레스다이용 코일스프링이 사용 중 파손 시에는 고가인 금형의 손상 및 생산성에 영향을 미칠 수도 있기 때문에 사용 환경에서의 신뢰성확보가 요구되어지고 있다. 특히 중(重)하중 및 극중(極重)하중용 스프링은 과거 현장에서 파손사례가 자주 발생함으로 인해 외산을 선호하는 경향이 있는 형편이다. 이에 국산 스프링의 신뢰성검증 및 확보를 위해 신뢰성기반구축사업을 통해 신뢰성평가기준(RS D 0014)가 제정되었으며, 이 평가기준에 의거하여 국내 업체의 제품에 대해 신뢰성평가를 실시하였다. 프레스다이용 코일스프링의 파손원인은 주로 반복하중에 의한 피로파손과 일정한 변위의 변형으로 발생하는 코일스프링 자유높이의 축소로 크게 구분되어질 수 있다. 시험결과 주 파손양상은 피로에 의한 균열발생이었으며, 코일 끝단부와 끝단부 직하부의 코일과의 마찰에 의한 균열발생이 주원인이었다. 즉, 코일의 끝단면과 직하면 코일이 연속적으로 부딪침으로써 발생한 변형 및 마모에 의해 표면균열이 발생하고, 표면균열에서 반복적인 부하하중이 가해짐으로써 피로균열 진전을 통해 점차적으로 파손이 진행되어졌음을 알 수 있었다. 본 발표에서는 기준에 의거하여 로하중용 프레스 다이용 코일스프링을 평가한 신뢰성평가시험 결과에 대해 보고하고, 파단면 관찰과 외산제품과의 미세조직 및 조성 등의 비교분석결과 등을 기초로 파손원인을 분석한 결과에 대해 보고하고자 한다.제고할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.X>$CdCl^+,\;CdSO_4$ 등이 형성되었다. 수은의 경우는 해수 및 증류수를 용출용매로 이용한 모든 경우에서 납, 구리, 카드뮴과는 달리 대부분 침전하였다. 더욱이 해수에 존재하는 고농도 염소($Cl^-$)와의 수착으로 인해 finite solid인 calomel($Hg_2Cl_2$)이 형성되어 대부분 침전(SI=0)되기 때문에 납, 구리, 카드뮴 보다 더 낮은 환경이동성을 갖을 것으로 사료된다. 상기 실험결과 용출용매로 증류수와 해수를 이용했을 때, 제강 슬래그에서 용출되는 납, 구리, 카드뮴, 수은의 용출 경향의 차이를 확인할 수 있었고 이에 따라서, 납, 구리, 카드뮴의 용출 유해성은 낮기 때문에 해양구조물로의 제강슬래그 유효이용은 적합할 것으로 판단되었다.im80%$로 계산되었다. 열형광선량계로 측정된 방사선량은 각각 1.8, 1.2, 0.8, 1.2, 0.8 (70 cm 거리) cGy로 측정되었으며, 환자의 복부 표면에서의 서베이메터를 이용한 측정량은 10.9 mR/h였다. 차폐구조물의 사용 시 전체 치료 동안에 태아선량은 약 1 cGy 정도로 평가되었다. 결론 : AAPM Report No.50의 자료에 따르면, 임산부의 방사선 치료 시 태아의 방사선 피폭선량은 5 cGy 이하일 경우에 방사선 피폭에 따른 태아의 위험이 거의 없는 것으로 제시되고 있다. 본원에서 차폐 구조물을 설치하였을 경우에 측정된 태아선량은 약 1 cGy로 측정되었고, 고안된 차폐구조물

Effects of Surface Finishes on the Low Cycle Fatigue Characteristics of Sn-based Pb-free Solder Joints (금속패드가 Sn계 무연솔더의 저주기 피로저항성에 미치는 영향)

  • Surface finishes of PCB laminates are important in the solder joint reliability of flip chip package because the types and thicknesses of intermetallic compound(IMC), and compositions and hardness of solders are affected by them. In this study, effects of surface finishes of PCB on the low cycle fatigue resistance of Sn-based lead-free solders; Sn-3.5Ag, Sn-3.5Ag-XCu(X=0.75, 1.5), Sn-3.5Ag-XBi(X=2.5, 7.5) and Sn-0.7Cu were investigated for the Cu and Au/Ni surface finish treatments. Displacement controlled room temperature lap shear fatigue tests showed that fatigue resistance of Sn-3.5Ag-XCu(X=0.75, 1.5), Sn-3.5Ag and Sn-0.7Cu alloys were more or less the same each other but much better than that of Bi containing alloys regardless of the surface finish layer used. In general, solder joints on the Au/Ni finish showed better fatigue resistance than those on the Cu finish. Cross-sectional fractography revealed microcracks nucleation inside of the interfacial IMC near the solder mask edge, more frequently on the Cu than the Au/Ni surface finish. Macro cracks followed the solder/IMC interface in the Bi containing alloys, while they propagated in the solder matrix in other alloys. It was ascribed to the Bi segregation at the solder/IMC interface and the solid solution hardening effect of Bi in the $\beta-Sn$ matrix.

Interpretation of Microscale Behaviors and Precision Measurement Monitoring for the Five-story and Seven-story Stone Pagodas from Cheongnyangsaji Temple Site in Gongju, Korea (공주 청량사지 오층석탑 및 칠층석탑의 정밀 계측모니터링과 미세거동 해석)

  • The five-story and seven-story stone pagodas at Cheongnyangsaji temple site in Gongju are located under the Sambulbong peak of Gyeryongsan mountain, and are known to have been built of the middle in Goryeo dynasty. As the two pagodas in which two types of Baekje stone pagoda coexist in one era, their historical and academic value are recognized. The seven-story pagoda was overturned by robbery in 1944, and as a result, the five-story pagoda was tilted. Although the two pagodas were restored in 1961, structural instability was continuously raised. In this study, measurement data accumulated from May 2021 to March 2022, and seasonal characteristics were reviewed, and the micro behavior of pagodas were analyzed according to temperature and precipitation during the same period. As a result, the micro thermoelastic behavior was repeated according to the daily temperature change in all sensors, and both the slope and the displacement showed microscale behavior. In the inclinometer, moisture containing the surface and inside of the stones repeated expansion and contraction due to temperature change, showing the micro movements. In particular, the upper part of the five-story pagoda moved up to 3.89° to the northwest, and the seven-story pagoda tilted up to 0.078° to the northeast. The maximum displacements were recorded as 0.127 and 0.149 mm in the five-story and the seven-story pagoda, respectively. These values tended to return to the original position at the end of the measurement, but did not recover completely, indicating a state requiring precise monitoring. The result obtained through the study can be used as basic data for the stable conservation of the two stone pagodas. Based on the behavioral characteristics considering various environmental factors should be analyzed, and the preventive conservation through the maintenance of measurement system built this time should be continued.

  • Eyer since the Prandtl's experiment in 1934 and X-21 airjet test in 1950 both attempting to reduce drag, it was found that controlling the velocities of surface for extremely fast-moving object in the air through suction or injection was highly effective and active method. To obtain the right amount of suction or injection, however, repetitive trial-and error parameter test has been still used up to now. This study started from an attempt to decide optimal amount of suction and injection of incompressible Navier-Stokes by employing optimization techniques. However, optimization with traditional methods are very limited, especially when Reynolds number gets high and many unexpected variables emerges. In earlier study, we have proposed an algorithm to solve this problem by using step by step method in analysis and introducing SQP method in optimization. In this study, we propose more effective and robust algorithm and techniques in solving flow optimization problem.

  • 고도로 산업화가 진행됨에 따라 회전기계는 더욱 중요시되고 있으며 이의 성능 향상에 부단한 노력이 경주되고 있다. 특히 우주 시대의 개막과 더불어 우주선 및 인공위성에 사용하기 위해 초소형이며 초고속의 고성능회전모타 를 개발하기에 이르렀다. 한 예로서 미국립항공우주국(NASA)의 스페이스셔 틀에 사용되는 주엔진 터보펌프를 들 수 있는데 이 터보펌프는 접시만한 크 기로써 71000마력을 생성해 낸다. 이러한 가공할 만한 에너지 밀도와 유량을 감당해 내려면 종래의 회전기계보다는 훨씬 더 높은 회전속도를 가져야 한 다. 이러한 회전체는 큰 관성부하와 진 동 및 동안정성의 문제등을 내포하고 있다. 고성능 회전기계의 또다른 예로서 초정밀 가공용 공작기계를 들 수 있 다. 선반 혹은 밀링머신으로 초정밀가공을 행하기 위해서는 회전축의 진동이 극히 작아야 한다. 이와 같이 오늘날 갈수록 초고성능 초정밀도를 추구함에 있어서 회전축의 진동을 현장에서 모니터링하고 이 진동데이터를 분석하여 회전축을 제어하는 것이 강력히 요구되어진다. 따라서 in-situ 측정이 중요성 을 띠게 되었는데 이는 제어기술의 바탕이 되는 자료를 현장에서 제공할 수 있기 때문이다. 회전축 진동측정의 대상이 되는 것들은 모타, 발전기, 엔진 및 터빈등을 대표적으로 들 수가 있다. 여기서 소형회전기계의 축표면과 같 이 비교적 곡면을 이루고 있는 부분의 진동변위 측정에 신중한 고려가 요구 되어 진다. 이는 축의 곡면도에 따라 감도가 변화하기 때문이다. 따라서 평 판에 대한 calibration 챠트를 회전기계축진동 변위환상에 이용하면 곡률에 따라서 오차가 생기게 된다. 본 연구에서는 비접촉 축진동측정시 발생되는 오차에 대하여 검토하고자 한다. from the studies, the origin of ${\alpha}$$_1$peak was attributed to the detrapping process form trap with 2.88[eV] deep of injected space charge from the chathode in the crystaline regions. The origin of ${\alpha}$$_2$ peak was regarded as the detrapping process of ions trapped with 0.9[eV] deep originated from impurity-ion remained in the specimen during production process of the material, in the crystalline regions. The origin of ${\beta}$ peak was concluded to be due to the depolarization process of "C=0"dipole with the activation energy of 0.75[eV] in the amorphous regions. The origin of ${\gamma}$ peak was responsible to the process combined with the depolarization of "CH$_3$", chain segment, with the activation energy of carriers from the shallow trap with 0.

Static Behavior of Hollow Cantilever Beam Using Multiplexed FBG Sensors (다중화된 FBG센서를 이용한 중공 내민보의 정적 거동 분석)

  • This paper presents a preliminary study to monitor the lateral behavior of pile foundation using multiplexed fiber Bragg grating(FBG) sensors. In the Preliminary study, an 1.7 meter long cantilever beam with the shape of square hollow box was fabricated and tested under the static loading. Four FBG sensors were multiplexed in a single optical fiber and installed into the top and bottom of the cantilever beam. The strains are directly measured from FBG sensors followed by curvature calculations based on the plane section assumption. Vertical deflections are then estimated using the regression analyses based on the geometric relationships. It has been found that excellent correlation with conventional sensing system was observed. The success of the test encourages the use of the FBG sensing system as a monitoring system for pile foundations. However, further consideration should be given in the case of the sensor malfunction for the practical purpose.

A STUDY CONCERNING THE CHARACTERISTICS OF KOREAN NI-TI ALLOY ORTHODONTIC WIRE (국산 Ni-Ti합금 교정용 선재의 특성에 관한 연구)

  • To estimate the characteristics of Korean Ni-Ti alloy orthodontic wire, this study investigated compositions, tensile properties, bending properties, heat treatment effects, and ion releasing degrees, and compared these characteristics to those of the imported Ni-Ti alloy wire. The results obtained are as follows ; 1. Ti and -Ni elements in ORTHOLLOY were in a range showing superelasticity, and there was a little difference in the Ni and Ti contents of ORTHOLLOY as compared with those of SENTALLOY. 2. The results of the tensile test concerning ORTHOLLOY exhibited a superelastic effect, indicating an area of a definite amount of stress in spite of the changes in the range from $2\%\;to\;8\%$ in the strain rate. 3. ORTHOLLOY presented higher load values than SENTALLOY in the same deflection values when the wire was tested in three-point bending. A load range displaying a superelastic effect was 80-l00g, 140-l80g, and 130-200g respectively, in wire diameters of 0.014', 0.016', and 0.018' 4. By heat treatments at $400^{\circ}C$ and at $500^{\circ}C$, a load range showing the effect of superelasticitly was lessened by the duration of the heat treatment time. The superelastic effect was destroyed as a result of the 10 minutes heat treatment at $600^{\circ}C$. 5. The quantity of the Ni ion released from ORTHOLLOY, tended to be greater than the amount of released Ni ion in SENTALLOY. The Co ion released was very little(<0.01ppm) in SENTALLOY and ORTHOLLOY irrespective of the lapse of time. Released Ni ions on the 1st day were at the maximum, and the releasing rate showed plateaus after three days. 6. The surface morphology of SENTALLOY was relatively regular irrespective of the lapse of rime, and the corrosion tendency was not observed. However, the surface morphology of ORTHOLLOY was rather irregular and shelved fitting corrosion after immersion.
