In this study, the ultra-fine fibers (UFs) having an alignment were prepared by electrospinning process, using different collectors made from various materials and collecting methods. A spinning solution was prepared by dissolving poly(amide-co-imide) (PAI) in NMP. The UFs were prepared by using various collectors and collecting methods, and the fibrous shapes were observed by SEM. As a result, a sort of materials of collectors and the collecting methods had not influenced on the average diameters of fibers but the forms of them. The just accumulated UFs on the collectors formed net structures, which had no alignment. On the contrary, the continuously collected UFs formed long fibers with alignment. It was found that the water collector played the roles of the fiber haul, temporary collector, moving path of fibers, and caused some friction between fibers and water, attributed to the formation of continuous UFs at a suitable collecting speed.

In this study, the optimum ratio of soil-cement was derived to utilize carbon capture minerals(CCM) as soil-cement for deep mixing method, quality characteristics of soil-cement mixed with carbon capture minerals were evaluated. The CCM is generated in the form of a slurry, and as a result of evaluating water content, it was found to be about 50%. Accordingly, the water content of CCM was removed in the unit water of Soil-cement mix. As a result of field mixing of soil-cement using CCM on field soil, it showed that the design allowable bearing capacity was satisfied by showing 3.0MPa or more as of 28 days of age. As a result of the hazard verification of carbon capture minerals, 0.055mg/L of Cu was detected, but satisfies the acceptance criteria, and no other harmful substances were eluted.
Entrapment of (-)-epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) into ethosome was carried out for improving its stability against decomposition. Solubility of EGCG was increased by the addition of ethanol into water, which enable ethosome to entrap appropriate amount of EGCG. It was observed that the EGCG solution concentration and constituent lipid composition had a considerable effect on the particle size and entrapment efficiency of ethosomes. The formation of liquid crystalline phase in ethosome was investigated by polarized optical microscopy. By comparing the stability of EGCG in solution and in ethosome exposed to UV or high temperature, we evaluated the EGCG stabilization effect through its entrapment in ethosome. Incorporation of tocopherol into ethosome retarded the decomposition of EGCG under UV.
Iron fillings which were accumulated around the rail was often the cause of abnormal signal in case of signaling equipment using rail as transmission line. Iron fillings were generated on curved section of railroad due to the friction between rail and wheel, and metro line company urged to find the way to remove these iron fillings, because these were often the cause of abnormal signal. Magnetic device for trapping iron fillings around concrete slab tracks is introduced. The characteristics of magnetic device were analyzed using basic design and numerical analysis method. Magnetic device for trapping iron fillings were examined for application to the train which were operating in commercial line.

Liquid acquisition device in the liquid propellant supply system is required to protect entrance of gas bubble into the propulsion system. The device exploits the capillary effect of micro-sized poles in a screen and supplies pure liquid-phase propellant to the propulsion system. The bubble point is the most important performance parameter in the design of a liquid acquisition device. In this paper, performance parameters affecting the bubble point are identified through literature survey, in order to develop the experimental setup for the bubble point measurement.

The size and main ingredient of hot particulate generated during the nuclide experiment in hot cells of nuclear facilities were 0.5300 $\mu$m and UO$\_2$. A cyclone filter equipment which consists of a cyclone and Bag/HEPA filter was devised to remove hot particulate generated during the nuclide experiment in hot cells of nuclear facilities. The experimental conditions to maximize the collection efficiency of hot particulate were suggested through experiments done with the cyclone filter equipment. With the large size of simulated particulate, the collection efficiency of the particulate was high. When the size of simulated particulate was more than 5 $\mu$m, the collection efficiency of the particulate was more than $80\%$ and when the size of simulated particulate was less than 1.0 urn, the collection efficiency decreased by less than $70\%$. If the inflow velocity of simulated particulate was increased, the collection efficiency of the particulate was also increased. When the inflow velocity of simulated particulate was more than 12m/sec, the collection efficiency was higher than $70\%$, but after 17 m/sec inflow velocity, no change observed. The collection efficiency of the simulated particulate can be enhanced with the length of vortex finder inside the chamber. With the length of vortex finder, 7.2cm, the observed collection efficiency of the particulate was the maximum. Moreover, when the sub-cone was attached under the cyclone, the collection efficiency of cyclone increased $2\%$. It was found that effect by attachment of sub-cone was not serious.
The purpose of this study were to sample particulate matter and analyze its elements and microorganisms for secondary school science project. The particulate matter was sampled on the rooftop a four-store building at a university in Chungju province. A simplified capturing system was developed with the parts, motor-pump, innet, $1.0{\mu}m$ teflon filter, filter-holder, etc. Using the system, this study had sampled particulate matter during Dec., 2013-Jun., 2014. Then, this study analyzed the elements and microorganisms of the sampled particulate matter. Results have been shown that the particulate matter derived China urban area is mainly consisted of the artificial pollutant, such as Cu, Zn, Cd, Ni, Pb. In addition, this study has been shown that microorganisms, such as bacteria and fungi, are included in the particulate matter. Therefore, this study suggests a new systemic investigation and monitoring about the particulate matter, specially originated from China. Also, this study provides a sample for secondary school science experiment.
This paper addresses recent status and trends of carbon dioxide capture technologies using dry sorbents in the flue gas. The advantages of dry sorbent $CO_2$ capture technology are broader operating temperature range, less energy loss, less waste water, less corrosion problem, and natural properties of solid wastes. Recently, U.S.A. and Korea have been developing processes capturing $CO_2$ from real coal flue gas as well as sorbents improving sorption capacity to decrease total $CO_2$ capture cost. New class of dry sorbents have been developed such as chemisorbents with alkali metals of which material cost is low, amines physically adsorbed on silica supports, amines covalently tethered to the silica support, carbon-supported amines, polymer-supported amines, amine-containing solid organic resins and metal-organic framework. The breakthrough is needed in the materials on dry sorbents to decrease capture cost.
This study examines strategies and implementation plans for commercializing $CO_2$ capture and storage, which is an effective method to achieve the national goal of reducing greenhouse gas. In order to secure cost-efficient business model of $CO_2$ capture and storage, we propose four key strategies, including 1) urgent need to select a large-scale storage site and to estimate realistic storage capacity, 2) minimization of source-to-sink distance, 3) cost-effectiveness through technology innovation, and 4) policy implementation to secure public interest and to encourage private sector participation. Based on these strategies, the implementation plans must be designed for enabling $CO_2$ capture and storage to be commercialized until 2030. It is desirable to make those plans in which large-scale demonstration and subsequent commercial projects share a single storage site. In addition, the plans must be able to deliver step-wised targets and assessment processes to decide if the project will move to the next stage or not. The main target of stage 1 (2019 ~ 2021) is that the large-scale storage site will be selected and post-combustion capture technology will be upgraded and commercialized. The site selection, which is prerequisite to forward to the next stage, will be made through exploratory drilling and investigation for candidate sites. The commercial-scale applicability of the capture technology must be ensured at this stage. Stage 2 (2022 ~ 2025) aims design and construction of facility and infrastructure for successful large-scale demonstration (million tons of $CO_2$ per year), i.e., large-scale $CO_2$ capture, transportation, and storage. Based on the achievement of the demonstration project and the maturity of carbon market at the end of stage 2, it is necessary to decide whether to enter commercialization of $CO_2$ capture and storage. If the commercialization project is decided, it will be possible to capture and storage 4 million tons of $CO_2$ per year by the private sector in stage 3 (2026 ~ 2030). The existing facility, infrastructure, and capture plant will be upgraded and supplemented, which allows the commercialization project to be cost-effective.
