Comparison & Analysis of The Permanent Magnet DC Motor Control Method (영구자석 직류기 (PMDC motor)의 제어 방식 비교 분석)

  • 넓은 범위의 토크-속도 특성을 가지는 직류기는 소형에서부터 대형까지 다양한 산업분야에서 폭넓게 사용되고 있다. 이러한 직류기 중 영구자석으로 자기장을 형성하는 영구자석 직류기 (Permanent magnet dc motor, PMDC motor)의 제어방식에 대해 비교 분석했다. 가장 대중적으로 사용되고 있는 진폭 변조 방식 (PWM, Pulse Width Modulation)과 벅-부스트 컨버터 (Buck-Boost converter)를 이용한 직류기 제어 방식에 대해 비교했다. PWM 방식은 인버터를 이용하여 펄스폭을 변조하였고, 벅-부스트 컨버터를 이용하는 방식은 스위치의 듀티비를 제어하여 직류 전압의 크기를 조절하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 벅-부스트 컨버터를 이용한 방식이 PWM 방식보다 5 rad/s 까지 정착 시간은 54.4 % 단축되었지만, 전력 소모는 194 % 증가하는 결과를 얻었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 단일 2-level 3-leg 전압형 인버터를 사용하여 직렬 연결된 3상 및 단상 표면부착형 영구자석 동기전동기(SPMSM)를 가변속 운전하는 기법을 제안한다. 일반적으로 두 영구자석 동기전동기를 독립적으로 가변속 운전하기 위해서는 각각의 인버터가 필요하지만, 본 논문은 옵셋(Offset) 전압을 사용한 전압 펄스 폭 변조(PWM) 방식으로 인버터를 제어하여 단일 인버터를 사용한 3상 및 단상 전동기 동시 운전이 가능하다. 제안된 방식은 전력용 반도체 소자 수를 줄여 전동기 구동시스템의 가격을 절감시킬 수 있으며, PLECS 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안된 토폴로지의 유효성을 검증하였다.

New Implementation Method of the Pulsed Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Apparatus (펄스방식의 핵자기 공명장치에 관한 새로운 구현방법)

  • This paper presents a new implementation method of the pulsed NMR(nuclear magnetic resonance) apparatus, which contains a single coil in a magnet console, to detect a NMR signal. Applying an RF magnetic field of 5MHz to the magnet console which is designed to have Larmor frequency of 5MHz for hydrogen atom, the hydrogen NMR signal was obtained from the glycerin which was put in the magnet console as a sample. The DC magnetic field in the magnet console was implemented with a permanent magnet of 1168 gauss and the RF magnetic field was generated appling an RF signal with the frequency of 5MHz and the current magnitude of 8A to a coil of 5.73${\mu}$H. The magnitude of the NMR signal was maximum when the RF magnetic field was generated for 2.8 ${\mu}$sec, and the period of generating the RF magnetic field was designed to 100msec for detecting the NMR signal repeatedly. The NMR signal, radiated from the sample in the magnetic console, was appeared as an amplitude-modulated signal with a frequency equal to the Larmor frequency. The signal, induced in the coil, was amplified in the tx/rx separation circuit, preamplifier and intermediate amplifier by a factor of 20.7dB, 36dB and 40dB, respectively, and the signal was detected by a synchronous detection circuits, then the NMR signal was obtained.

  • To reduce the chattering errors of reed switch sensors in the automatic remote measurement of water meter a reed switch sensor was analyzed and improved. The operation of reed switch sensors can be described as a mechanical contact switch by approximation of permanent magnet piece to generate an electrical pulse. The reed switch sensors are used mostly in measurement application to detect the rotational or translational displacement. To apply for water flow measurement devices, the reed switch sensors should keep high reliability. They are applied for the electronic digital type of water flow meters. The reed switch sensor is just mounted simply on the conventional mechanical type flow meter. A small magnet is attached on a pointer of the water meter counter rotor. Inside the reed sensor two steel leaf springs make mechanical contact and apart repeatedly as rotation of flow meter counter. The counting electrical contact pulses can be converted as the water flow amount. The MCU sends the digital flow rate data to the server using the wireless communication network. But the digital data is occurred difference or won by chattering noise. The reed switch sensor contains chattering error by it self at the force equivalent position. The vibrations such as passing vehicle near to the switch sensor installed location causes chattering. In order to reduce chattering error, most system uses just software methods, for example using filter algorithm and also statistical calibration methods. The chattering errors were reduced by changing leaf spring structure using mechanical characteristics.

  • ICRF 시스템을 이용한 방전세정인 ICWC(Ion Cyclotron Wall Cleaning)는 ITER와 DEMO 같은 초전도 자석을 이용하는 토카막에서 토카막 shot 중간에 자장을 낮추지 않고 바로 방전 세정을 할 수 있는 방법이다. 토카막에서 방전세정은 탄소나 산소 화합물과 같은 불순물을 제거하여 방사에 의한 플라즈마 냉각을 막고 토카막 초기 start-up시 진공 챔버 벽면으로부터 의도하지 않은 연료주입을 제거하는 역할을 한다. 본 연구에서는 ICWC 방전 세정 최적화를 위해 플라즈마의 불순물 제거 특성을 수소 유량의 크기와 ICRF 펄스의 duty ratio를 바꿔가면서 관찰하였다. ICRF 전력은 44.2 MHz에서 20-50 kW 가 입사되었으며 자장은 3 T에서 고정되었다. 운전압력은 $10^{-4}$ mbar 정도이다. 헬륨의 유량을 400 sccm으로 고정한 후 수소의 유량을 40 sccm에서 160 sccm까지 증가시켜가면서 제거율을 관측하였다. 그 결과 수소 유량의 증가에 따라 제거율이 증가하는 불순물과 오히려 감소하는 불순물이 있음이 관측되었다. 제거율이 증가되는 불순물 group은 charge-to-mass ratio가 26, 28, 40, 44이고 감소하는 불순물 group은 18, 20, 32 이다. 펄스의 duty ratio를 1/9(on/off) 초에서 5/5(on/off) 초로 증가시킴에 따라 제거율이 증가하는 불순물과 감소하는 불순물이 또한 나타났는데 수소 유량 실험과 그 group에 차이가 없었다. 이러한 실험결과는 수소 유량의 증가나 펄스 길이의 증가에 따라 가스의 종류에 관계없이 모두 증가하거나 감소할 것이라는 예측과는 다른 결과로서 이것에 대한 명료한 해석이 필요하다. 왜냐하면 위와 같은 운전조건에서 효율적인 불순물 제거를 위해서는 불순물 제거 운전 방법이 불순물의 종류에 따라 모두 달라져야 하기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 특성을 불순물의 dissociation 에너지 관점에서 해석을 시도하였다.

  • Linear pulse rootor (LPM) be suitable a field where smooth linear rootion of high precision is required, because it's structured with minute teeth pitch in airgap of between and stator and roover(forcer). Force and position of LPM are effected sensitively by the teeth pitch, air gap, permanent magnet and excitation current. So, LPM is much important to analyze the force characteristics. llis paper was awlied to perrreance roothed for force calculation at airgap. The airgap of LPM is maintained from the pressure generated by an air-bearing. Simplified airflow and permeance methods will be used to calculate the air gap under static conditions. Therefore, the maximum available force is then derived using the coenergy method with variable air gap, also normal force and linear thrust was acquired from variable minute displacement 1[mm]. 1[mm].

  • Generally, a voltage difference or voltage distortion exists between the reference voltage and the practical voltage applied to a motor in a pulse width modulated(PWM) voltage source inverter(VSI). This voltage distortion varies with the operating conditions such as the temperature, DC link voltage, and phase current level. Also the voltage distortion affects the machine current distortion, torque pulsations, and control performance. In this paper, the voltage distortion in a PWM VSI is analyzed and a new on-line estimation method based on the model reference adaptive system(MRAS) is proposed to compensate the time varying voltage distortion, while considering the parameter variations for a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The simulation and experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed voltage difference observer and the compensation method.

  • A position control system composed of the PMLSM(Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor), unlike conventional linear permanent magnet synchronous motor is fixed to the permanent magnet moving coil rails (permanent magnet = stator, coil = mover), the coil is fixed, moving the permanent magnet, we propose a position control system (permanent magnet = mover, coil = stator) structure. Position is measured not using conventional encoder or resolver but by adopting vector control method using 2 hall sensors generating rectangular signal. This method estimate the velocity and position of mover by using the quadruple of two hall sensor signal instead of encoder signal. Vector control of PMLSM using 2 hall sensor generating rectangular wave is proved to control the system stable and efficiently through simulation. Also hardware experiment reveals that the position control performance is measured within the range of $30{\sim}50{\mu}m$ in the accuracy of $10{\sim}20{\mu}m$, which is improved twice to the conventional method. The proposed method exhibits its economical efficiency and practical usefulness. The vector control technique using two hall sensors can be installed in narrow place, accordingly it can be implemented on the system where the conventional encoder or resolver cannot operate.

  • This paper proposes a new vector control method using two rectangular hall sensors instead of using the expensive encoder and resolver. The proposed method estimates the speed and motor position by using the quadruple of two hall sensors signals instead of encoder signal. The proposed new speed estimation method is stable under the rated speed range. This algorithm will be able to moderate prices of the whole system and apply to the condition unfitted with encoder and resolver.
