Evaluation of the Navigational Risk Level in Coastal Waterway using Fuzzy Logic and Choquet Integral (퍼지로직과 쇼케적분을 이용한 연안해역의 통항 위험성 평가)

  • The prevention of marine accidents has been a major topic in marine society and various policies and countermeasures have been developed, applied to the industries. The coastal VIS and navigational aids are considered as one of the effective methods to promote marine safety but they need relatively huge amount of budgets to build Thus prior to establishing these coastal VIS and navigational aids, it should be evaluated the navigational risk level in the coastal waterways from the Environmental Stress. So far as human beings are concerned, there are many types of fuzziness in the evaluation of navigational safety level. In order to reflect these fuzziness on this evaluation, this paper introduces the fuzzy integral suggested by Choquet to represent the fuzziness in the evaluation process. This paper aims to develop the method for this evaluation from the viewpoint of mariner's operational stress using the fuzzy logic and Choquet integral. In this paper, Korean coastal area is divided into 8 sectors and evaluated the priority for the needs of coastal VIS and navigational aids.

  • This paper suggests on evaluation of risk level for damage of marine accidents in SRRs. This paper intoduces a concept of fuzzy logic with the plenty of related literature riview, fuzzy measure t-seminormed fuzzy integral and in the Korean. SRRs of RCC and RSC. The methodology of this paper is max$\cdot$min composition of fuzzy extensive principle, defuzzifiation is centroid of gravity methods. And final evaluation value using t-seminormed fuzzy integral. At the result, the evaluation of risk level is especially over Serious for marine accident of Mokpo, Tongyoung, Busan SRRs. This paper recommends tint many Rescue Vessels and Equipments need to the reduction of risk level about those.

  • The management of image information settles as an important field with the advent of multimedia age and we are in need of the effective retrieval method to manage systematically image information. This paper has complemented the problem caused by the absence of space information that is a weak point of the existing color histogram method by assigning regions of features, and raised accuracy by adding texture and shape information. And existing methods using multiple features have problems that the retrieval process is embarrassed because each weight is set up manually. So we has solved these problems by assignment of weight applying fuzzy integral. As a result of experimenting with 1,000 color images, the proposed method showed better precision and recall than the existing method.

  • .Ports are usually designed as a dead en port. With an increasing tendency of ship size, the problems such as maneuvering difficulty, turning basin, tugboat fee, etc. are getting to be pointed out. For solving such problem, the conversion of the idea fro dead end port to one-way through port is encourage. To examine the advantage of one-way through port, a quantitative and systematic analyzing procedure is needed. For this, this paper evaluated the preference on the three way of departture using the fuzzy measure and integral model.

  • It is difficult to find an appropriate web site because exponentially growing web contains millions of web documents. Personalization of web search can be realized by recommending proper web sites using user profile but more efficient method is needed for estimating preference because user's evaluation on web contents presents many aspects of his characteristics. As user profile has a property of non-linearity, estimation by classifier is needed and combination of classifiers is necessary to anticipate diverse properties. Structure adaptive self-organizing map (SASOM) that is suitable for Pattern classification and visualization is an enhanced model of SOM and might be useful for web mining. Fuzzy integral is a combination method using classifiers' relevance that is defined subjectively. In this paper, estimation of user profile is conducted by using ensemble of SASOM's teamed independently based on fuzzy integral and evaluated by Syskill & Webert UCI benchmark data. Experimental results show that the proposed method performs better than previous naive Bayes classifier as well as voting of SASOM's.

  • This research explores the relative importance of factors and service items that influence the air cargo service quality for provision services by the Skyteam Cargo in the Korean market. In general, the Skyteam Cargo provides a package of services which are different functions and operations of service such item as Equation Heavy (heavy and large express freight), Equation (small express freight), Variation (special freight), and Dimension (general freight). To carry out the research, the expert questionnaire survey, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) analysis had adopted to evaluate the level of quality for the provision air cargo operation services by the Skyteam Cargo at Incheon International Airport. Based on an expert survey and the AHP, five core service factors, namely, infrastructure as installed facilities, reliability, promptness, efficiency, and safety are defined.

  • Relevance feedback is a technique to learn the user's subjective perception of similarity between images, and has recently gained attention in Content Based Image Retrieval. Most relevance feedback methods assume that the individual features that are used in similarity judgments do not interact with each other. However, this assumption severely limits the types of similarity judgments that can be modeled In this paper, we explore a more sophisticated model for similarity judgments based on fuzzy measures and the Choquet Integral, and propose a suitable algorithm for relevance feedback, Experimental results show that the proposed method is preferable to traditional weighted- average techniques.

  • In this paper, we consider interval-valued fuzzy sets which were suggested by Wang and Li(1998) and Turksen(1986) and investigate entropy defined by Choquet integral on interval-valued fuzzy sets. Furthermore, we discuss some properties of them and give some examples related this entropy.
