A Study on the Evaluation of LLM's Gameplay Capabilities in Interactive Text-Based Games (대화형 텍스트 기반 게임에서 LLM의 게임플레이 기능 평가에 관한 연구)

  • We investigated the feasibility of utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs) to perform text-based games without training on game data in advance. We adopted ChatGPT-3.5 and its state-of-the-art, ChatGPT-4, as the systems that implemented LLM. In addition, we added the persistent memory feature proposed in this paper to ChatGPT-4 to create three game player agents. We used Zork, one of the most famous text-based games, to see if the agents could navigate through complex locations, gather information, and solve puzzles. The results showed that the agent with persistent memory had the widest range of exploration and the best score among the three agents. However, all three agents were limited in solving puzzles, indicating that LLM is vulnerable to problems that require multi-level reasoning. Nevertheless, the proposed agent was still able to visit 37.3% of the total locations and collect all the items in the locations it visited, demonstrating the potential of LLM.

  • 본 논문에서는 수학에서 사용하는 소수(Prime number)를 찾는 원리에 대한 학습을 위한 게임 기반 학습(Game based learning) 콘텐츠인 Prime Miner라는 게임을 제안한다. Prime Miner는 게임이 가지고 있는 장점과 소수의 원리를 결합하여 게임을 통해 학습자의 흥미를 이끌어 학습에 몰입할 수 있도록 도우며, 학습자가 게임 규칙을 통해 소수의 원리를 합리적으로 배울 수 있도록 유도한다. 본 논문에서는 Prime Miner의 게임 원리와 학습자가 Prime Miner를 통해 소수 학습을 하는 방법을 설명한다. 또한 퍼즐게임에서 종종 발생하는 더 이상 게임을 진행할 수 없는 상태인 교착상태(Deadlock)를 피하기 위한 숫자 타일의 배치에 관한 방법도 제시한다.

  • The future of the game industry depends on developing contents. Especially a high level game needs all kinds of scenarios. Therefore, it is important to popularize writing game scenarios. Scientific scenario study is also needed to educate talented scenario writers and game designers. This is a case study on interactive elements of the game scenario, such as items, puzzles, and events. In conclusion, when these interactive elements becoming smoothly one parts of the game the game is now perfectly finished, rather than disturbing the process of the game story. I hope that this study is some helpful to game developers.

  • In this paper through the implementation of cooperative learning using SDG, education puzzle actually applies to computer training. SDG(Single Display Groupware) which one computer display have a multi-input devices can work as a collaborative system. Learners are performing together through SDG-based cooperative learning system. SDG cooperative learning with a multi-input device is superior to traditional learning with individual. We have implementation of the puzzle game with this fact. This system through effective education and raising their children's education participation rate will be able to do.

  • The format of game play varies depending on the priority of game design components by genre. In this study, in order to quantitatively derive the priority of game design components by genre, 6 game design components and 6 genres were extracted through prior research on game design components and genres, and then the research model was designed, and priorities were derived through AHP. Feedback system in action games, story in adventure games, mechanics in role-playing games, mechanics in simulation games, feedback system in table games, and mechanics in puzzle games were highly prioritized.

  • 네트워크로 연결된 온라인상의 게임은 상호 작용이라는 특성을 통해 빠르게 성장하고 있다. 이와 함께 흥미로운 요소를 가진 있는 게임의 장점과 온라인 교육의 장점을 결합한 교육용 게임이 등장하고 있는 추세이다. 하지만 이러한 온라인 교육용 게임은 단지 게임과 교육을 결합 하는 것에만 치중하여 심층적인 학습이 이루어지지 못할 뿐만 아니라 인터페이스 또한 교육효과에 크게 영향을 미치지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 논문은 이러한 문제점에 초점을 맞추고 이를 위해 새로운 방법을 제안하였다. 교육의 방법에 있어서 퍼즐이라는 게임의 형식을 기반으로 세 단계 계층구조를 통한 지식전달의 체계를 제안하고 있으며 누구나 쉽게 접근 가능한 인터페이스 방법 또한 함께 제안하였다.

  • This study presents the analysis results through the experiments how to increase the user participation via the user created game contents(UCGC) which user oneself can produce in a game. The experiment was carried out for whether the three elements of self-express desire, providing game money, and competitiveness can increase active participation in UCGC by using a mobile game called 'Color Pop'. Through this, we summarized the comparative results of the importance and influence for the three elements. It is expected that it will be used to improve understanding of UCGC users and plan or produce UCGC.

  • Digital game includes one more funny elements which are competition, puzzle, interaction and role-playing. These elements encourage the player's interest and flow. The purpose of this study is to find out the essence of these elements in digital games with Cannibalism. Digital game inherits and develops Cannibalism in the digital space as magic circle, death and rebirth of life, changing the shape of character and reversing the interface.

  • Titles of Nintendo DS are frequently use humor to help users fall in short time. Among many humor element, many titles use exaggeration. It is because 'exaggeration' is the best instrument to make users understand humor without complex cognitive process.
