Analysis the Mobile User-Interface in Patent (휴대폰 UI관련 특허 분석을 통한 기술 흐름과 발전전망 연구)

  • User interface technology has applied to various fields. it is considered as the powerful tool to interact between users and devices efficiently. also. before the actual study, many companies are examining a patent. In this paper, we classified the UI technologies into seven categories and perform quantitative analysis. We can understand domestic technical level and research trends of advanced countries by in this research. We provided objective patent information and we proposed the direction of the development and the way of the securing patent.

Patent Trend Report about Oriental Medicine: The Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine-oriented (한의학 특허 동향 조사: 한국한의학연구원을 중심으로)

  • Many researchers are trying to acquire intellectual properties on the promising technologies for prior occupation in their area. For this, the number of patents as a result of researches is increasing. In spite of the tendency in research of oriental medicine, the results have been focused on research papers. In this paper, we have reported patents around the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine(KIOM) to find trends in patents in the field of oriental medicine. There are 211 Korea patents and 8 USA patents. Most of these patents are fouced on "medical" and "diagnosis" areas.

  • 발명가나 일부 기업들에게만 관심이 있던 특허는 최근에 들어 인터넷 붐을 타고 비즈니스모델이 특허의 논란이 되면서 일반인에게 관심거리로 떠오르고 있다. 이미 수면위로 상승한 세계적인 이슈인 체세포 복제기술은 숱한 뉴스거리를 생산하며 계속적인 이슈로 부각되고 있다. 유념해야 할 점은 좋은 기술을 개발하고도 특허에 대한 무지로 재산권형성에 실패하는 경우가 종종 있다는 것, 뒤늦게 특허 분쟁에 휘말리는 경우 등을 보더라도 현대 기술 사회를 살아감에 있어서 기술개발의 첨병역할을 하고 있는 벤처기업들은 특허법에 대한 숙지가 무엇보다 중요하다고 할 것이다.

A Study of CPC-based Technology Classification Analysis Model of Patents (CPC 기반 특허 기술 분류 분석 모델)

  • With the explosively increasing intellectual property rights, securing technological competitiveness of companies is more and more important. In particular, since patents include core technologies and element technologies, patent analysis researches are actively conducted to measure the technological value of companies. Various patent analysis studies have been conducted by the International Patent Classification(IPC), which does not include the latest technical classification, and the technical classification accuracy is low. In order to overcome this problem, the Cooperative Patent Classification(CPC), which includes the latest technology classification and detailed technical classification, has been developed. In this paper, we propose a model to analyze the classification of the technologies included in the patent by using the detailed classification system of CPC. It is possible to analyze the inventor's patents in consideration of the relation, importance, and efficiency between the detailed classification schemes of the CPCs to extract the core technology fields and to analyze the details more accurately than the existing IPC-based methods. Also, we perform the comparative evaluation with the existing IPC based patent analysis method and confirm that the proposed model shows better performance in analyzing the inventor's core technology classification.

  • The importance of intellectual property right becomes larger and the number of the person who uses a patent search is increasing. When considering the search pattern of the general user who uses only one or two search terms, it is not easy task to find desirable search result in the massive patent documents. So we present patent search system based on IPC Clustering which helps users confine the search result by using international patent classification (IPC) which provided from all patent documents. By using this system, the general users can find patent search result more effectively.

  • 양방향 증강방송 기술은 방송과 통신의 하이브리드 서비스 기술과 증강현실 기술을 융합하여, TV 방송 프로그램 시청 시에 시청자가 선택한 증강 콘텐츠를 방송 프로그램에 자연스럽게 융화시켜 즐길 수 있도록 한다. 또한 시청자의 선택에 따라 다양한 증강 콘텐츠 사업자들이 제공하는 증강 콘텐츠를 이용하는 양방향 서비스를 가능하게 한다. 본고는 양방향 증강방송 기술의 개요에 대해 소개하고 관련 연구 동향을 살펴본 후, 양방향 증강방송의 주요 기술 분야에 대한 각국의 특허 동향을 분석한다. 주요 핵심 기술 분야에 대한 특허 동향을 살펴봄으로써 양방향 증강방송 기술 분야에서의 국제 경쟁력을 분석하고, 향후 효과적인 연구개발 추진방향을 모색하고자 한다.

Domestic and international trend analysis of highly cited patents based on DWPI (Derwent World Patent Index) (세계 특허를 이용한 고피인용 특허의 국내외 동향 분석)

  • Highly cited patents (HCPs) were selected from the patents published from 2002 to 2006. Citation frequencies of patents were obtained from the database provided by DWPI and were analyzed with respect to the IPC (International Patent Classifications). HCPs were selected as those who occupy top 1% of citations in the sets of patents given by IPCs and publication year. After selecting the HCPs their distribution over IPCs, Industrial Classifications and patent assignees' nationalities were analyzed. According to the result the US held 5,634 patents (66.9%) out of the total 8,416 patents occupying the the first rank in the distribution of patent assignees' nationalities. Japan and Germany ranked the 2nd and 3rd place holding 885 (10.5%) and 521 (6.2%) HCPs, respectively. On the other hand, Korea were positioned at 6th holding 151 (1.8%) HCPs. Among the industrial sectors classified by the Industrial Classifications provided by the Korean Intellectual Property Office, Manufacturing Sector occupied the 1st place with 7,692 HCPs (81.7%) and Waste Treatment Sector occupied the 2nd place with 578 HCPs (5.9%).
