Thrombin Detection with Tetrabromophenolphthalein Ethyl Ester Adsorbed on Aptamer-attached Conductive Polymer (전기전도성 고분자 위에 고정된 압타머에 흡착된 테트라브롬페놀프탈레인 에틸 에스테르를 이용한 트롬빈 검출)

  • An aptamer-based biosensor using a new redox indicator has been examined for the electrochemical detection of thrombin. The aptamer modified primary aliphatic amine was covalently immobilized onto poly-(5,2':5',2"-terthiophene-3'-carboxylic acid) (polyTTCA) layer. Tetrabromophenolphthalein ethyl ester (KTBPE) was interacted to aptamer and used as an electrochemical indicator. Prior to the detection, the oxidation reaction of KTBPE onto aptamer modified layer was also investigated using differential pulse voltammetry. The characterization of the final sensor (KTBPE/aptamer -polyTTCA) was performed by voltammetry, QCM, and ESCA. After binding of thrombin onto KTBPE/aptamer based sensor, the peak signal of KTBPE was gradually decreased. The sensor exhibited a dynamic range between 10.0 and 100.0 nM with the detection limit of $1.0{\pm}0.2nM$.

The Usefulness of Serum Tumor Markers as a Predictor of Peritoneal Metastasis in Patients with Gastric Carcinoma: CA 19-9 and CEA (위암 환자에서 수술 전 복막전이 예측을 위한 혈청 종양 표지자의 유용성: CA 19-9와 CEA)

  • Purpose: The usefulness of serum tumor markers for assessing gastric carcinoma is very limited compared to that for neoplasms in other digestive organs. Many reports have shown that serum tumor markers are closely associated with the prognosis and tumor recurrence in gastric cancer patients. However, little is known about the usefulness of serum tumor markers as a predictor of distant metastasis for gastric carcinoma. Materials and Methods: With excluding the non-specific causes of elevated tumor markers, a total of 788 patients with gastric carcinoma and who were seen at our hospitals between 2004 and 2006 were included in this study. The correlation between the preoperative level of tumor makers and the clinicopathological features was analyzed. Results: CEA was significantly correlated with age, gender and nodal metastasis, but not with the depth of tumor. The CEA level was not correlated with distant metastasis, such as peritoneal or hematogenous metastasis. In contrast, the CA 19-9 level was significantly correlated not only with the depth of tumor and nodal metastasis, but also with peritoneal metastasis. Especially, the patients with over 500% elevation of the CA 19-9 level had a significant risk of peritoneal metastasis. Conclusion: CA 19-9 is useful for predicting peritoneal metastasis in gastric cancer patients. It can be used efficiently in making the diagnostic and the treatment plan, in combination with other diagnostic tools, for gastric cancer patients.

  • Currently, road mobility improved from the National Road Improvement. Nevertheless delineation system is facility that enhanced driver's safety, that was set up often inconsistent or nonexistent over the road exit ramp So it judged functional investigation will be necessary. This study suggested setting type of the delineation system. That was based on a field study and reviews the legal standard of it and considering driver's cognition behavior. For the study, make a 3D-simulation and so could objectively a comparative test. Comparison variable between delineation setting type is selected conspicuity and visibility. Cased that illustrated characteristics of driver's visual cognition behavior. The experiment was used Eye Marker Recorder for measure the gaze frequency more quantitatively and objectively. And used the ANOVA analysis for significance testing between delineation setting type. A significant percent of the conspicuity analyzed types(Safe mark, Obstacle Sign, Warning Light, and Tubular Maker) in road exit ramp for recognize. And gaze frequency that measure of effectiveness of visibility are measured. On the analysis result, the visibility was significance difference between delineation setting type and visibility of types was best.

Analysis of Traffic Safety Facilities in Pedestrian Protection Area: Focusing on Variable Speed Limit Signs and Beacons (보행자 보호구역의 교통안전시설물 효과분석: 가변형속도제한표지와 비콘 중심으로)

  • Since the mid 1990s, policies have been actively promoted to improve safety and pedestrian environment around the school such as the improvement of School zone. However, the prevention of accidents was not effective because it did not extend to the school road where the main transportation route for children's commuting takes place. In addition, due to the rapid increase of automobiles, trunk road traffic in the peak time bypasses the back roads, which threatens children's safety and the environment by invading the school area, which is the main living space of children. In this study, the characteristics of domestic children's traffic accidents were investigated and the problems were analyzed by conducting a field survey on Yeouido Secondary School in Seoul and Unjung Elementary School in Gyeonggi Province. In addition, Variable speed limit signs and Beacons were installed in the pedestrian road of comunity including School zone, and the effects of facilities on the speed of vehicles were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the Variable speed limit sign showed a deceleration effect of about 8.3km/h, and the Beacon showed a phenomenon in which the traveling speed of 0.8km/h increased only slightly. In addition, the traffic violation rate of passenger cars, buses, and lorries decreased by about 3% as a result of investigating the number of traffic violation vehicles before and after installation.

  • 본 연구는 한국어 대화인지모형을 구축하는 데 필요한 화용론적 지식에 관한 연구의 일환으로, 부대화의 개시 및 종료 시점에서 나타나는 담화 참여자의 의도 및 그 의도와 관련된 표층표지를 분석하고, 나아가 필수 논항 성분의 하나로서 대화체에서는 자주 생략되어 나타나는 청화자 논항의 의미복원을 위한 예비적 단계로서 술어의 어미 특성 및 화자의 언어행위 혹은 화행과 관련하여 청자 논항의 생략 유형을 분류하고 분석했다. 이러한 연구는 한국어 대화 에이전트를 개발하는데 있어 필수적인 단계로서 향후 대화체 이해시스템 연구에 기초적인 틀을 제공해 줄 수 있다.

Genetic Variation of some Patches of Eleutherococcus senticosus (Rupr. & Maxim) Maxim. in Korea (국내(國內) 가시오갈피 군락(群落)의 유전변이(遺傳變異) 분석(分析))

  • The aim of this study was to described the genetic structure of Eleutherococcus senticosus in Korea. We investigated 10 patches, which are eight Korean patches and two foreign patches come from Russia and China growing at Korean habitat, using ISSR(inter-simple sequence repeats) markers. In ISSR PCR, the overall percentage of polymorphic ISSR amplicons was 76% and the mean number of amplicons per ISSR primer was 11.5, which were higher than the RAPD results for the some cultivars collected in Korea(Kim et al., 1998) ; 57% and 5.7, respectively. So ISSR markers provide more powerful tool than RAPD markers for the investigation of genetic variation in E. senticosus. There are relatively high genetic variation among patches as 62.8%, but low variation within eight Korean patches. Such pattern of genetic variation, which is not ordinary in other tree species, may be result from the narrow and limited habitats and the asexual reproduction of this species at the natural stands in Korea. Although the small sample size in this study seemed to be resulted in the high genetic variation among patches, the overall genetic interpretation of this study might not be much affected on the basis of the characteristics of the distribution and the reproduction system of E. senticosus. Analysis of genetic distance between all pairs of the patches did not reveal any trends with regard to geographic distance, which was confirmed by the results obtained from AMOVA(analysis of molecular variance) and PCA(principal component analysis). These results suggest that, in addition to the preservation of the natural stands, the conservation of larger number of patches with small number of individuals per patch is more effective for the ex situ conservation and for maintaining the genetic diversity of E. senticosus in Korea than smaller patches with large number of individuals.

  • As a means of helping ships navigate safely, navigational aids in operation in the maritime envirionment require periodic management, and due to the nature of the environment, it is difficult to visually check the exact state. As a result, the smart navigation aid system, which improves route safety and operational efficiency, utillizes expertise including sensors, communications, and information technology, unlike general route markings. The communication environment of the smart navigation aid system, which aims to ensure the safety of the navigators operating the ship and the safety of the ship, uses a wireless communication network in accordance with the marine environment. The ship collects the information necessary for the maritime environment on the land and operates. In this process, there is a need to consider the wireless communication security guideline. Basically, based on IHO S-100 a standard for facilitating data exchange and SECOM, which provides an interface for safe communication. This paper research a security system for safe communication in a maritime environment. The security system for the basic interface based on the document was presented, and there were some vulnerabillties to data exchange due to the wireless communication characteristics of the maritime environment, and the user authetication part was added considering the vulnerability that unauthorized users can access the service.

Exploring the Cognitive Factors that Affect Pedestrian-Vehicle Crashes in Seoul, Korea : Application of Deep Learning Semantic Segmentation (서울시 보행자 교통사고에 영향을 미치는 인지적 요인 분석 : 딥러닝 기반의 의미론적 분할기법을 적용하여)

  • Walking is an eco-friendly and sustainable means of transportation that promotes health and endurance. Despite the positive health benefits of walking, pedestrian safety is a serious problem in Korea. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate with various studies to reduce pedestrian-vehicle crashes. In this study, the cognitive characteristics affecting pedestrian-vehicle crashes were considered by applying deep learning semantic segmentation. The main results are as follows. First, it was found that the risk of pedestrian-vehicle crashes increased when the ratio of buildings among cognitive factors increased and when the ratio of vegetation and the ratio of sky decreased. Second, the humps were shown to reduce the risk of pedestrian-related collisions. Third, the risk of pedestrian-vehicle crashes was found to increase in areas with many neighborhood roads with lower hierarchy. Fourth, traffic lights, crosswalks, and traffic signs do not have a practical effect on reducing pedestrian-vehicle crashes. This study considered existing physical neighborhood environmental factors as well as factors in cognitive aspects that comprise the visual elements of the streetscape. In fact, the cognitive characteristics were shown to have an effect on the occurrence of pedestrian- related collisions. Therefore, it is expected that this study will be used as fundamental research to create a pedestrian-friendly urban environment considering cognitive characteristics in the future.

  • 자율주행 자동차의 개발을 위해서는 다양한 기능 평가, 성능 평가, 안전성 평가 등이 필수적이다. 이러한 평가는 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션과 실제 주행을 통해 이뤄질 수 있으며, 현실의 도로 상황을 고려한 단위시험환경들을 조합 구성한 통합시험환경에서 수행하는 것이 일반적이다. 여기서 단위시험환경은 도로망 구성, 장애물, 표지판 등의 정보를 포함하는 정밀도로지도를 기반으로 주행차량수, 보행자, 기상환경, 동적 이벤트 요소 등을 고려하여 구성할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 단위시험환경을 구성하기 위한 정밀도로지도 처리 방법을 소개한다. 구체적으로는 정밀도로지도 처리를 포함하는 데이터 파이프라인을 설계하고, 정밀도로지도 객체분석을 통해 시험환경의 특성 및 상호 유사성을 파악한다. 국토지리정보원에서 배포한 정밀도로지도를 사용하여 객체를 추출하고 분석하는 실험을 수행했으며 전반적인 동작 상태를 확인했다. 개발한 소프트웨어는 향후 자율주행 학습을 위한 단위 및 통합 시험환경 구축 및 법규 및 규제 대응 서비스 시나리오의 구성에 활용할 예정이다.

  • 의사소통에서 대화자 간 감정의 이해는 메시지의 내용만큼이나 중요하다. 비언어적 요소에 의해 감정에 관한 더 많은 정보가 전달되고 있기는 하지만, 텍스트에도 화자의 감정을 나타내는 언어적 표지가 다양하고 풍부하게 녹아 들어 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 인간언어공학에 활용할 수 있는 감정 온톨로지를 설계하는 데 있다. 텍스트 기반 감정 처리 분야의 선행 연구가 감정을 분류하고, 각 감정의 서술적 어휘 목록을 작성하고, 이를 텍스트에서 검색함으로써, 추출된 감정의 정확도가 높지 않았다. 이에 비해, 본 연구에서 제안하는 감정 온톨로지는 다음과 같은 장점을 갖는다. 첫째, 감정 표현의 범주를 기술 대상(언어적 vs. 비언어적)과 방식(표현적, 서술적, 도상적)으로 분류하고, 이질적 특성을 갖는 6개 범주 간 상호 대응관계를 설정함으로써, 멀티모달 환경에 적용할 수 있다. 둘째, 세분화된 감정을 분류할 수 있되, 감정 간 차별성을 가질 수 있도록 24개의 감정 명세를 선별하고, 더 섬세하게 감정을 분류할 수 있는 속성으로 강도와 극성을 설정하였다. 셋째, 텍스트에 나타난 감정 표현을 명시적으로 구분할 수 있도록, 경험자 기술 대상과 방식 언어적 자질에 관한 속성을 도입하였다. 이때 본 연구에서 제안하는 감정 온톨로지가 한국어 처리에 국한되지 않고, 다국어 처리에 활용할 수 있도록 확장성을 고려했다.
