Precocious puberty (PP) is defined as the early development of secondary sexual characteristics (before the ages of 8 years in girls and 9 years in boys). The aim of this study is to identify characteristics of the dental maturity in girls with PP that discriminate them from normal healthy girls. This study included 99 girls aged 6 - 8 years with PP and 99 girls without past medical history of same chronological age (control group). The study was performed on 198 panoramic radiographs (99 PP girls, 99 control group girls). Demirjian method was used to evaluate the panoramic radiographs and determine dental maturity. Difference in dental maturity score and tooth formation stages between the two groups were analyzed. The PP group showed significant higher maturity score than control group. Among mandibular teeth, mandibular 2nd premolar and 2nd molar were significantly more mature in the PP group than control group. Logistic regression analysis showed that mandibular 2nd molar was only significant predictor for PP girls.

한국대학교육협의회(회장 권영건 안동대 총장, 이하 대교협)는 한국대학신문의 후원으로 2006년 12월 5일 대교협 회의실에서 '대학생 취업관련 기관 간 연계체제 구축'을 위한 특별좌담회를 개최하였다. 이번 좌담회에서는 취업기관 간의 연계체제 구축 실태를 진단하고, 향후 구축될 연계체제 내용, 방법을 논의하고, 연계 구축을 위한 대학과 정부, 기업 간의 상호 협력방안을 모색하였다. 대교협 김영식 사무총장은 취업관련 기관들에게 "오늘 좌담회를 계기로 대학생 취업난 해소에 대교협의 협조가 필요한 사안이 있으면 언제든지 요청하여 줄 것을 당부한다"고 말했다.

본 연구는 지식경제부 지역연고육성산업인 보령머드는 2011년에 참여기업인 전문마케팅사인 인포마스터(주)의 주도로 SNS마케팅을 시도하였다. 국내외 SNS마케팅 업체 중에서 국내 토종 브랜드인 위메프를 선택하였고, 연말 크리스마스 특별전의 형태로 새로운 시대에 부합하는 신매체 마케팅을 단행하였다. 홍보적 측면과 광고적 측면에서 새로운 매체를 통한 공격적 마케팅을 통하여 12,741,540건의 노출, 3,691건의 클릭, 노출대비 구매 전환율은 0.62%의 성과를 획득하였다. 이것을 기반으로 향후 보령머드의 마케팅에 있어서 중요한 진단도구로 활용될 것이다.

월간 <디지털콘텐츠>는 창간12주년 특집호를 기념해‘선진 메이저 시장 진출을 위한 DC산업의 발전 방향’이라는 주제로 지난달 27일 소공동 롯데호텔에서 특별좌담회를 가졌다. 오해석 경원대학교 부총장의 사회로 진행된 이날 좌담회에는 유승희 열린우리당 국회의원을 비롯해 박세영 신성장동력 디지털콘텐츠PM(경북대학교 교수), 박성찬 한국콘텐츠산업연합회의장(다날 사장) 등 각계 전문가들이 국내 디지털콘텐츠 산업의 가능성과 수출현황 및 메이저 시장 진출을 위한 대안 등을 진단하며 열띤 토론의 장을 펼쳤다. 이날 좌담회는 국내 디지털콘텐츠 산업현황, 디지털콘텐츠 산업활성화를 위한 주요쟁점 및 전망, 선진 메이저 시장 진출을 위한 대책 등에 대한 깊이 있는 내용이 토론됐다.

최근 건강에 대한 관심이 고조되면서 가정용 진단기, 혹은 재택진료 등의 가능성이 커지고 있다 혈중 성분, 또는 생체 시료와 빛의 상호작용에 관한 연구는 비침습적 정량분석, 또는 생체 조직의 상태 분석의 가능성을 의미하므로 다양한 분야에서 연구가 진행되고 있다. 특히 원적외선(8~15$\mu$m)영역에서의 생체 시료 및 성분들의 특별한 흡수 spectrum등이 보고되면서, 이 영역에서의 정량적인 분석과 영상에 관한 연구가 큰 주목을 받고 있다. (중략)

우리나라의 평균 수명이 77.5세로 지난 20년새 8.4세가 늘어난 것으로 나타났다. 이 같은 고령화 사회의 진입은 저출산 문제와 맞물려 우리나라의 산업전반에 큰 영향을 끼치고 있으며, 특히 노령화에 따른 주거의 변화가 빠르게 이루어질 전망이다. 절대 평균수명(2005~2010년)으로 세계 제일을 자랑하는 일본의 경우 '유료 노인홈'이나 '공동간호형 특별보호 노인홈' 등 다양한 주거시설을 채택, 고령화 인구의 유입을 꾀하고 있다. 본지에서는 日經아키텍쳐에서 "고령자 복지시설의 트렌드가 하루가 다르게 변한다"고 진단하고 '고령자 주거의 바람직한 모습'을 제시한 특집 '고령자 주고'를 통해 일본 실버주택의 현주소를 점검해 본다.

Phlebectasia is an abnormal dilatation of an isolated vein and a rare venous anomaly and is usually asymptomatic. Clinically internal jugular phlebectasia is a self limited benign condition and usually no treatment is required after initial diagnosis. So suspection of this disease and appropriate diagnostic approaches are essential to avoid unnecessary surgical intervention. We present three cases of internal jugular phlebectasia of which diagnosis was made by neck sonography and CT.

Iosipescu Beam은 혼합 모드의 파괴 거동에 관하여 자주 이용되고 있는 보 중에 하나이다. 이 연구의 주요 목적은 Iosipescu 보의 모드 II 파괴계수(SIF)를 수치적 실험을 통하여 결정하는데 있다. 이 특별한 연구의 목적에 맞게 강도계수를 구하기 위하여 강성도법이 유도되고, 다양한 종류의 Iosipescu 보의 분석이 이루어진다. 수치적 실험을 위해 요구되어지는 정해를 얻기 위한 기술이 논의된다. 또한 이 수치 실험을 위하여 필요로 되어지는 Mesh의 기준과 요구되어지는 정해도를 위한 수렴 테스트를 실시한다. 약 500 개의 데이터 세트가 분석되어 결과가 이용하기 쉬운 약산식으로 유도되었다.

A 9-month-old neutered male German Shepherd dog was referred with the primary complaint of episodic collapse. Apparent abnormal findings were not observed in physical examination, routine biochemistry, and diagnostic imaging studies. In the 12-lead surface ECG after collapse, the dog showed frequent ventricular premature contractions (VPCs) with torsade de pointes. The frequency of VPCs was reduced after lidocaine infusion. Based on the history, findings in event recordings oi the ECG and lidocaine response test, the dog was diagnosed as inherited malignant ventricular tachyarrhythmia. Although the dog was initially responded to oral sotalol therapy, the dog was died suddenly. This report described the first case of malignant ventricular tachyarrhythmia of German Sheperd in Korea.

Benign symmetric lipomatosis (BSL), also called Madelung's disease, is a rare disease in middle-aged chronic alcohol user. The cause of BSL is unknown. A 63 year-old man with rapid growing lesions in both shoulders for 2 months visited our hospital. Except for cosmetic problem, no abnormal finding was found in blood cell analysis and chemistry; however, excessive fat deposition was found on radiographic findings. Lipoma was revealed in pathologic examination and BSL was diagnosed clinically. Patient is being followed up without any specific problem.
