One of the most important matters in designing network and realizing service, is to grip on the traffic characteristics. Conventional traffic prediction and analysis used the models which based on the Poisson or Markovian. Recently, experimental research on the LAN, WAN and VBR traffic properties have been pointed rut that they weren't able to display actual real traffic specificities because the models based on the Poisson assumption had been underestimated the long range dependency of network traffic and self-similar peculiarities, it has been lately presented that the new approach method using self-similarity characteristics as similar as the real traffic models. Therefore, in this paper, we generated self-similar data traffic like real traffic as background load. On the existing ABR congestion control algorithm, we analyzed by classify into ACR, buffer utilization. cell drop rate, transmission throughput with the representative EFCI, ERICA, EPRCA and NIST twitch algorithm to show the efficient reaction about the burst traffic.

Over the years, the widespread proliferation of multimedia services has necessitated the development for an efficient network management. In this paper, we investigate the role of adaptive online pricing mechanism in order to manage effectively the network congestion problem. Our on-line approach is dynamic and flexible that responds to current network conditions. With a simulation study, we demonstrate that our proposed scheme enhances network performance and system efficiency simultaneously under widely diverse traffic load intensities.

Measurement of network traffic have shown that the self-similarity is a ubiquitous phenomenon spanning across diverse network environments. In previous work, we have explored the feasibility of exploiting the long-range correlation structure in a self-similar traffic for the congestion control. We have advanced the framework of the multiple time scale congestion control and showed its effectiveness at enhancing performance for the rate-based feedback control. Our contribution is threefold. First, we define a modular extension of the TCP-a function called with a simple interface-that applies to various flavours of the TCP-e.g., Tahoe, Reno, Vegas and show that it significantly improves performance. Second, we show that a multiple time scale TCP endows the underlying feedback control with proactivity by bridging the uncertainty gap associated with reactive controls which is exacerbated by the high delay-bandwidth product in broadband wide area networks. Third, we investigate the influence of the three traffic control dimensions-tracking ability, connection duration, and fairness-on performance.

Recently, due to the high development of the internet, needs for multimedia streams such as digital audio and video is increasing much more. In case of transmitting multimedia streams using the User Datagram Protocol (UDP), it may cause starvation of TCP traffic on the same transmission path, thus resulting in congestion collapse and enormous delay because UDP does not perform TCP-like congestion control. Because of this problem, diverse researches are being conducted on new transmission schemes and protocols intended to efficiently reduce the transmission delay of real-time multimedia streams and perform congestion control. The TCP-friendly congestion control schemes can be classified into the window-based congestion control, which uses the general congestion window management function, and the rate-based congestion control, which dynamically adjusts transmission rate by using TCP modeling equations and the like. In this paper, we suggest the square-root congestion avoidance algorithm with the hybrid TCP-friendly congestion control scheme which the window-based and rate-based congestion controls are dealt with in a combined way. We apply the proposed algorithm to the existing TEAR. We simulate the performance of the proposed TEAR by using NS, and the result shows that it gives better improvement in the stability needed for providing congestion control than the existing TEAR.

In this Paper, we discuss an active TCP link of unsynchronized transmission mode network in two-way traffic and the Improvement of its traffic patron thorough the network pathway of protocol is shown. This is because the traffic pattern is performed on the basis of existing windows which are distributing information in several periods of time in the way of interfacing LTS control module, which is controlling by an information of exceeding the time limit of feedback loop determined by RTP, with TCP. The simulation to utilize this efficiently is performed with the circumstance of bench mark based on physical modeling of the self-similarity traffic in the performance of TCP. In this paper, we use a methodology to understand and evaluate the effect of change of transmitting protocol in sticks under the condition of the self-similar traffic in two-way network and it is shown that an improvement of congestion control by self-similarity under a heavy condition.

This paper is about the research to maintain and enhance the flow of data of the wireless traffic control. Various types of burst traffic that were found at TCP window flow control have been removed or mitigated using the two-way traffic control. Currently, TCP ACK Compression problem appears during the transmission of the wireless communication control channel because the queues are mostly located at the end system. Therefore, in this paper, the periodic bursty characterist of the source IP queue wilt be analyzed to predict the maximum value of queues. And then the prediction tool will be applied to wireless communication traffic control to handle symmetric traffic as to increase the throughput and improve the performance.

Measurements of network traffic have shown that self-similarity is a ubiquitous phenomenon spanning across diverse network environments. We have advance the framework of multiple time scale congestion control and show its effectiveness at enhancing performance for fast TCP prototype control. In this paper, we extend the fast TCP prototype control framework to window-based congestion control, in particular, TCP. This is performed by interfacing TCP with a large time scale control module which adjusts the aggressiveness of bandwidth consumption behavior exhibited by TCP as a function of "large time scale" network state. i.e., conformation that exceeds the horizon of the feedback loop as determined by RTT. Performance evaluation of fast TCP prototype is facilitated by a simulation bench-mark environment which is based on physical modeling of self-similar traffic. We explicate out methodology for discerning and evaluating the impact of changes in transport protocols in the protocol stack under self-similar traffic conditions. We discuss issues arising in comparative performance evaluation under heavy-tailed workload. workload.

In ATM networks, bandwidth allocation using available bandwidth is important to control ABR traffic efficiently. However, it is difficult to dynamically assign bandwidth on bursty traffic, because the tracking of the existing available bandwidth information uses statistical value. In this paper, we propose a output-bufferd ATM switch using Per-VC queueing scheme with timer and Controller. The controller determines whether each VC is in congestion state or not, and the timer can assign dynamically as determining the available bandwidth for the Present period by Backlogged time and total link capacity, and then transmitting the determined bandwidth to source. Instead of using statistical parameters, the proposed scheme can improve link efficiency as allocating the bandwidth of the next period, by use of measured bandwidth during the current period.

According to the recent development of network technology, the demands of users are diversified and the needs of multimedia traffic are increasing. In general, UDP(User Datagram Protocol) traffic is used to transport multimedia data, which satisfied the real-time and isochronous characteristics. UDP traffic competes with TCP traffic and incur the network congestion. However, TCP traffic performs network congestion control but does not consider the receiver's status. Thus, it is not appropriate in case of streaming services. In this paper, we solve a fairness problems and proposed a network algorithm based on RTP/RTCP(Real-time Transport Protocol/Realtime Transport Control Protocol) in view of receiver status. The POBA(Priority Ordered Buffer Algorithm), which applies priorities in the receiver's buffer and networks, shows that it provides the appropriate environment for streaming services in view of packet loss ratio and buffer utilization of receiver's buffer compared with the previous method.
