Study on Optical and Electrical Properties of IGZO Thin Film According to RF Power Fabricated by RF Magnetron Sputtering

  • IGZO 투명 전도 박막은 TFT-LCD에 사용되는 투명 전도성 산화물 박막으로서 다양한 광전자 소자의 투명 전극으로 널리 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 RF magnetron sputtering법으로 corning 1737 유리기판 위에 RF 파워의 변화에 따라 증착한 IGZO박막의 광학적 전기적 특성 변화를 연구하였다. 박막 증착 조건은 초기 압력 $2.0{\times}10^{-6}$ Torr, 증착 압력 $2.0{\times}10^{-2}$ Torr, 반응가스 Ar 50 sccm, 증착 온도는 실온으로 고정하였으며, 공정변수로 RF 파워를 25 w, 50 w, 75 w, 100 w로 변화시키며, IGZO 타겟은 $In_2O_3$, $Ga_2O_3$, ZnO 분말을 각각 1 : 1 : 2 mol% 조성비로 혼합하여 소결한 타겟을 사용하였다. 표면분석(AFM)결과 RF 파워가 증가함에 따라 거칠기가 증가하였으며, XRD 분석결과 Bragg's 법칙을 만족하는 피크가 나타나지 않는 비정질 구조임을 확인할 수 있었다. 가시광 영역에서 (450 nm~700 nm) 25 w일 때 85% 이상을 확인하였고, RF 파워가 증가할수록 밴드갭이 감소하는 것을 확인하였다. RF 파워가 100 w인 경우 carrier 밀도는 $7.0{\times}10^{19}\;cm^{-3}$, Mobility 13.4 $cm^2$/V-s, Resistivity $6.0{\times}10^{-3}\;{\Omega}-cm$로 투명전도막의 특성을 보였다.

Properties of translucent zirconia and lithium disilicate glass-ceramics: a literature review (반투명 지르코니아와 리튬디실리케이트 결정화유리의 물성에 관한 문헌고찰)

  • Although low translucency 3 mol% yttria stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystal has excellent mechanical properties, it has limited application as a monolithic prosthesis. To improve these optical limitations, translucent zirconia has improved esthetics due to an increase in the cubic phase; however, it is accompanied by a decrease in mechanical properties simultaneously. Lithium disilicate has improved its mechanical properties through crystal size reduction and various heat treatment methods; therefore, its clinical application range is continuously increasing. Translucent zirconia shows a wide distribution of physical properties depending on the yttria content and lithium disilicate according to the size and density of crystal grains. As a result, the indications for translucent zirconia and lithium disilicate are increasing. Therefore, in this literature review, we intend to examine the rationale behind the material selection criteria in clinical situations and considerations for designing fixed dental prostheses including pontic, in particular, by summarizing recent studies.

Synthesis of transparent diamond-like carbon film on the glass by radio-frequency plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (RF-PECVD법에 의한 투명 다이아몬드상 탄소 박막 합성)

  • Transparent diamond-like carbon (DLC) films were synthesized on glass using radio frequency plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition method from the gas mixture of $CH_4$, $SiH_4$ and Ar. The pressure, the rf-power, $CH_4/SiH_4/Ar$ ratio, and the deposition time were 0.1Torr, 100W, 20 : 1 : 1, and 20 min, respectively. The optical transmittances of DLC-deposited glass and uncoated glass were compared with each other in the visible light regions. The DLC-deposited glass showed transmittance of approximately 83 % and 95 % as compared to the uncoated glass for the wavelength of 380 nm and 500 nm, respectively. The hardness and roughness of DLC-coated glass have been measured by nanoindentation and AFM, respectively. The DLC-coated glass showed a little less or similar optical transmittance compared to the uncoated glass, while the hardness of DLC-coated glass was 2.5 times higher than that of the uncoated glass. The deposited DLC film had the very smooth surface and was thicker than 150 nm after deposition for 20 min.

  • Plasma display panel is a potential candidate for HDTV, due to the fact that the screen size can easily be increased by a thick film technology. In this study, transparent dielectric materials which satisfied the requirements of dielectrics for PDP was developed using lead alumina borosilicate glasses. The Paste which had thixotropic behavior suitable for screen printing was made of this glass composition. the paste became more thixotropic as the particle size decreased. After firing, the cross sectional area of the thick film was analyzed by SEM. The voids in the thick film were removed using bimodal particle system. The dielectric thick film showed good adhesion characteristics.

  • Development of digital technology is advancing to levels which influence the formation of city landscapes and spaces. The use of media facade is creating modernized city-spaces with contemporary application of various digital mediums. In this way, media facade functions as media-art in an artistic point of view, while also providing the means for buildings to become landmarks in a city-scape point of view. Going a step further, media facade using interaction is drawing a lot of attention as it enables communication with the city inhabitants instead of one-way contents provision. This paper will research such interactive media facade using transparent display glass currently being used as construction building material and its potential growth.

  • 현재 ITO를 대체할 재료로 투명 전도성 탄소나노튜브(carbon nanotube, CNT) 필름에 대한 연구가 진행 되고 있다. 이러한 연구에서 특히 CNT 필름의 투과도에 따른 전기저항을 향상시키기 위한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 단일벽 CNT (single-walled CNT)를 여러 가지 계면활성제로 최적 분산시킨 수용액으로부터 제조한 CNT 필름의 투과도에 따른 면 저항 (sheet resistance) 변화를 관찰하였다. 우선 계면활성제로 분산시킨 CNT 수용액을 알루미나 재질의 필터에서 정량적으로 진공 필터링하여 CNT 필름을 제조하였다. 알루미나 필터를 sodium hydroxide (NaOH) 수용액으로 용해시켜 제거함으로써 얻은 CNT 필름을 유리기판 위에 부착시켰다. 필름의 전기저항을 낮추기 위해 유리기판 위에 부착된 CNT 필름을 질산 (HNO3) 용액으로 처리하였다. Scanning electron microscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy를 이용하여 각각 필름의 형상과 광 투과도를 분석하였고, 4-point probe로 면 저항을 측정하였다. 계면활성제로 분산시킨 CNT 필름 대부분의 면 저항은 질산 처리에 의해 감소하였다. 이는 CNT 표면에 코팅되어 있던 계면활성제가 질산에 의해 제거되었기 때문인 것으로 예상된다. 여러 계면활성제 중 sodium dodecyl benzenesulfonate로 분산시킨 CNT 필름이 산 처리 후에 가장 낮은 면 저항을 보였다. 그리고 Polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP)과 cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB)를 사용하여 제조한 CNT 필름의 면 저항이 가장 뚜렷한 감소를 보였다.

Archaeological Chemistry of Classes Excavated at Songdong-ri tombs, Sangju, Korea (경상북도 상주 성동리고분 출토 유리구슬의 고고화학적 연구)

  • The characteristics and composition of the ancient glasses excavated at Songdong-ri, Sangju, Kyongsangbuk-do were analyzed using Scanning Electron Microscope attached with Energy Dispersive Spectrometer. As the results, the glass beads of Songdong-ri showed that there were changed the composition, the color and types according to the periods. There were appeared potash and soda glass group at A.D.4 century and potash and mixed alkali glass group at A.D. 17 century. The potash glasses of A.D. 4c. were colored blue and contained low $Al_2O_3$ and CaO composition as below $5\%$. The soda glasses of This period were colored blue and red, and contained $Al_2O_3$ composition as upper $5\%$. But the potash glasses of A.D.17c. showed the transparent yellow color and considerably higher CaO, $11.7\%$. 'Coil glasses' typed unique were colored yellow-brown, Cu-blue and colorless, were classified the mixed alkali glass as upper $5\%\;of\;Na_2O\;and\;K_2O$. The composition of coil glasses were presented first at this study.
