Thermal and UV Resistance of Polytrimethylene Terephthalate Bulked Continuous Filament (PTT BCF) and The Influence of Additive on Those (PTT BCF의 분산염료 염색에서 첨가제의 내열성 및 내광성 효과)

  • This study examines the degradation of PTT BCF and fading behavior of disperse dye by heat treatment and UV irradiation. The behavior in strength degradation of PTT BCF after treat treatment was examined by measuring the tensile strength of samples. The strength retention of PTT BCF rapidly decreased with increasing exposure time at 150℃. The K/S value decreased with increasing temperature and its trend accelerated with increasing exposure time on heat. The behavior on strength degradation of PTT BCF and the fading of disperse dye on it were studied under UV irradiation at various temperatures. The tensile strength of PTT BCF and the K/S value of the sample dyed with disperse dye after UV irradiation decreased with increasing temperature and exposure time. PTT BCF exposed under UV irradiation exhibited lower strength and K/S value compared with the sample after heat treatment. Additional study on the effects of additives used to improve the resistance to fading of disperse dye and degradation of PTT BCF revealed that antioxidant and UV absorbent in PTT BCF showed a small improvement in the strength degradation of PTT BCF and the fading of dye.

  • Discoloration by heating and gamma-radiation of aqueous solutions of two coal-tar food dyes used in meat products was observed. Tartrazin with sodium tri-polyphosphate or cinnamon oil was slightly discolorized by heating at $75^{\circ}C$, but Amaranth was comparatively resistant. Effect of gamma rays of coal-tar food dyes was generally increased with irradiation doses, and especially by the addition of sodium tri-polyphosphate and cinnamon oil. This tendency was higher in Tartrazin than Amaranth. The addition of sodium nitrate and ascorbic acid, and storage at low temperature, however, seems to be effective in decreasing the discoloration of irradiated solutions.

염기성 용액에서 마젠타 아조메틴 색소의 퇴색 반응속도와 메커니즘

  • 3-메틸-1-페닐-2-피라졸린-5-은과 N,N-디에틸-1,4-페닐렌디아민의 반응에서 마젠타 아조메틴색소(M)를 합성하였다. 마젠타 아조메틴 색소는 에탄올, 아세톤, 그리고 클로로포름에 잘 녹는다. 원소분석, 핵자기공명스펙트럼, 적외선 홉수 스펙트럼, 그리고 GC/MS 스펙트럼에서부터 마젠타 아·조메틴 색소임을 확인하였다. 마젠타 아조메틴 색소는 염기성용액에서 분해된다. 에탄을 수용액에서 염기에 의한 마젠타 아조메틴 색소의 퇴색반응을 분광학적인 방법으로 540 nm에서 측정하였다. 그리고 OH$^-$와 H$_{2}$O(11${\sim}$40 M의 범위)의 농도가 증가함에 따라 퇴색반응속도는 증가하였다. 이 반응에 대한 실험속도 식은 다음과 같다. -d[D]/dt = {k$_{OH}$[OH$^-$][H$_{2}$O]}[D] 이 속도식과 일치하는 메커니즘을 제시하였다.

  • 본 연구는 천연염색물 유물의 본래색인 전통색 추정을 위한 기초 실험중의 하나로, 천연염료와 전통섬유의 종류를 달리하여 전통염색방법을 따라 얻은 천연염색물을 이용하여 색변화에 가장 큰 영향을 주는 주변환경 중에서 세탁과 일광에 의한 천연염색물의 변퇴색의 거동경로를 분석하고자 하였다. 천연염료로는 우리나라에서 재배되는 홍화, 소방목, 치자, 황토, 능소화꽃잎, 지초, 먹물, 감물, 황련, 황백, 생쪽, 생쪽, 쪽, 산죽재, 신나무 등과 같은 15종류의 염료를 단독 혹은 혼합하여 이용하여 적색, 주황색, 연한 갈색, 진한 갈색, 황색, 청색, 자색, 흑색계열의 8종류의 색상을 지닌 천연염색물을 얻었다. Damage Prevention Effect of Green Tea Seed Oil on Colored and Decolored Hair (녹차씨 오일이 염색 및 탈색된 모발의 재손상 및 탈색 방지에 미치는 영향)

  • Stained and discolored hair will be damaged by the shampooing, daily UV disposal, and the use of hair dryer. Thus many studies about the effect of various natural substances on the re-secure the skin and scalp are recently reported. This study was carried out to investigate the effect of green tea (Camelloia sinensis) seed oil on colored (dyed) and decolored (bleached) hair. The beneficial effects of green tea seed oil are already well known, but little research has been done about the hair treatment and fade-resistant effect. Dyed and bleached hair was pretreated with green tea seed oil to determine the tensile strength and elongation of the hair, to analyze the hair surface using SEM, and to compare the color fade using spectrocolormeter. The results showed that the tensile strength increased with green tea seed oil pretreatment samples for virgin, dyed, and bleached hairs. Elongation showed the reverse results showing the presence of hair treatment effect. The results of the surface pre-treatment in all groups analyzed by SEM, the hair cuticle became sharper, so coating effect were identified with all samples. The value of the $L^*$, $a^*$, $b^*$ decreased with washed hairs damaged by UV irradiation and the values were decreased also in dyed and bleached hair. In summary, green tea seed oil prevent reinjury to the heat and UV rays for colored and decolored hairs. Cosmetic practice effects of the oil were identified in the field to be appropriate to the customer's skin and scalp that natural cosmetic oils would like to offer.
