A study on the basic design of bypass valve using CAE technology (CAE 기반 바이패스 밸브 기본설계에 대한 연구)

  • This paper introduces the concept of the computer-aided engineering(CAE) design method for a bypass valve in a system that is used for the safe lifting of mineral resources in deep-seabed mining. Although the bypass valve has a simple mechanism, its design is very difficult because of various influencing factors. This equipment, which has a complex design process, should be developed by CAE-based design method. The method can perform the design, design verification, and virtual experiment at the same time. In this study, the CAE-based method for the design of the bypass valve has been developed using fluid dynamics, multi-body dynamics, and optimization method.

  • A finite element analysis scheme is proposed to assess the dynamic response due to impulse excitation of ocean mining pipe system. Transient dynamic response analysis based on the proposed scheme was carried out for various types of impulses, and the magnitude of cable tension induced by impulse was discussed by using a model of 'Segero', a special purpose ship of KT-Submarine as well as ROV carrier 'Onnuri' A qualitative, prospective guideline for the relevant marine operation is obtained.

  • 1991년 8월부터 그이듬해 7월까지 채취된 무지개 송어(Oncorhvnchus mykiu) 난모세포의발달 단계를 이해하기 위하여 광필 및 전자현미경을 이용하여 본 각구를 실시하였다. 건국 대학교 축산대학 양수.장에서 수온이 14-16$^{\circ}C$이고 용존산소량이 7.6 $\pm$ 0.3ppm. PH 5.8 $\pm$ 0.2인 자연채광 상태인 1개의 10m3 탱크에서 N R.C. 사양표준에 준한 펠렛트 배합사료를 급여하여 연중 사육중인 체중 700-1,2009의 한복새끼인 무지개 송어 암컷 120마리를 공시희.로 이용 하였다. LPO(late perinucleolus oocyte), EMO(early maturing oocyte) 단계에서 과립막 세포와 협막세포와 같은 난포막 세포는 단층구조로 부터 입 방형구조로 변화되었고. 완전한 성장, 성숙 및 과숙기에 방사대(Eons rsdiat3)에 있는 pore canals의 입구가 봉쇄되었다. 방사대는 맨바깥목에 균일하면서 점은 두께의 막과 나선형의 두꺼운 복의 2개의 막으로 구성되어 있으며. 성숙기에 있는 난모세포에는 수초 및 자갈에 붙을 수 있는 온수성 어종 보다 상대적으로 얇은 점액성의 막이 그 주위를 둘러싸고 있다. 난모세포가 성장함에 따라 세포질 주변부 및 임립등 세포내에 막대기 형태의 미토콘드리아와 비대해진 내형질세강의 육가 급증하였다. 전자밀도가 높은 소포는 방사대에 인접한 난세포질 주변부에 많이 존재하며. 이는 성장중인 방사대의 pore Canals을 통해서 간으로 부터 합성된 단백질과 탄수화물을 수송하는 것과 밀접한 관계가 있는 것으로 사료된다. 자연적인 조건하에서 fP포막은 난형성 및 이에 영향을 미치는 성호르몬의 발달에 충분한 대르몬을 계절에 따라 분비시키는 데에 커다란 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

A Study on the Characteristics of Non-hierachical Arrangement of SANAA's Work by Space Syntax (공간구문론을 이용한 SANAA 작품의 비위계적 공간구성 특성 연구)

  • This study attempted quantitative analysis by space syntax on the plan of a non-hierarchical arrangement, which selected SANAA's work after Almere Stadt Theater, and analyzed the difference in the quantitative value of the non-hierarchical arrangement in plan that appears externally. The analysis results were as follows. First, SANAA's spaces with a non-hierarchical arrangement plan that appears externally showed a definite quantitative value difference, and had a hierarchical space difference in the plan that does not appear externally. Second, the spaces with a high integration value also had a high connectivity value, which is indicated by increasing the number of space openings using the method of giving hierarchy to the non-hierarchical arrangement plan or adjusting the size of the room or location to grant hidden hierarchy. Third, SANAA used exterior corridor rather than interior corridor in grid-type plan to solve the accessibility problem, and the open coat spaces between rooms provide natural lighting and ventilation and are used as equipment that controls the hidden hierarchy of space at the same time.

Identification and Characterization of a RecA-like Protein Induced by DNA Damaging Agents in Fluorescent Pseudomonas sp.

  • A RecA-like protein (RecAps) was identified from fluorescent Pseudomonas sp. and the inducible nature of the protein was characterized in detail. It was shown by dose-response and time-course experiments using two DNA damaging agents, nalidixic acid and mitomycin-C, that the cellular level of RecAps protein was increased 3-8 fold compared to that of the control. The most effective doses of nalidixic acid and mitomycin-C for the protein induction were $30{\mu}g/ml$ and $0.3{\mu}g/ml$ at the treatment time point of 150 min, respectively. The enhanced level of RecAps protein was gradually decreased to the control level after 10 hr in normal medium. Interestingly, the cellular level of RecAps protein was increased by the same DNA damaging agents even when cell growth was completely inhibited by treatment with $170{\mu}g/ml$ of chloramphenicol, an inhibitor of protein synthesis, suggesting that new protein synthesis is not required for the induction of RecAps. All these results suggest that a typical S0S repair function driven by RecA-like protein is conserved in Pseudomonas sp. cells as in E, coli.

Identity of the 155 ATPase with the Eukarvotic Mg"'-Arpase and Its Immunoreactivitv to the 26S protease Complex from Chick Skeletal Muscle (15S ATPase와 진핵세포에 존재하는 Mg2+-ATPase의 동질성 및 계 골격근에서 분리된 26S 단백질 분해효소와의 면역반응에 관한 연구)

  • Partial internal amino acid sequences of the 15S ATPase from chick skeletal muscle were determined and found to be identical to the corresponding regions of the Mg2+_ATPase from Xenopus laevis oocytes, that is a close homolog of N-ethvlmaleimide-sensitive factor (called NSF) in hamster and Sec18p in yeast, both of which are believed to plaN an essential role in vesicle fusion in secretory process. Thus, the 15S Arpase in chick skeletal muscle maw also belong to a protein family of the "vesicle fusion proteins". Unlike the Mg2'-Afpase with an isoelectric point (pl) of 5.5, however, the 15S Arpase was separated into four spots with pls of 4.9,6.4 and 6.9 upon analysis by twoiimensional gel electrophoresis. In addition, the anti-15S ATPase IgG was found to be capable of interacting with the 265 protease complex upon analysis by immunoprecipitation. Moreover, immunoblot analysis revealed that the anti-155 Arpase IgG recognizes three subunits, ko of which show the same mobilities as the 510-kDa subunit 4 and 48-kDa subunit 7 of the 26S protease complex that are known to contain a highly consented ATP-binding motif. These results surest that a common antigenic site, likely the consensus nucleotide-binding site, exists in the 15S ATPase and the 26S pretense complex and hence both the enzymes maw also be related ATPases.d ATPases.

  • When a deep-seabed lifting pump is kept this device has bending and deformation in the axis due to its long length(8m). These influences can be caused a breakdown. Therefore, a mounting must be developed to keep the lifting pump safe. This paper discusses the hydraulic cylinder design of the lifting pump and structural safety estimation of the mounting using SBD(simulation-based design). The multi-body dynamic simulation method is used, which has been used in the automotive, structural, ship building, and robotics industries. In this study, the position and diameter of the hydraulic cylinder were determined based on the results of the strokes and buckling loads for the design positions of the hydraulic cylinder. A structural dynamic model of the mounting system was constructed using the determined design values, and the structural safety was evaluated using this dynamic model. According to these results, this system has a sufficient safety factor to manufacture.

  • The natural resources and material life-cycle include all human activities related to resources and material extraction, transportation, processing, use, recovery and disposal. Sustainable material management (SMM) is an integrated set of policy approaches targeted on economic agents throughout the material life-cycles and designed to result in economically efficient and environmentally effective material use. The material flows of industrial mineral, ores and fossil fuels have also long been a focal area for environmental policies because of the high environmental pressures associated with extraction, processing, consumption, and final disposal of these materials. OECD work on material flow is to improve the quantitative and analytical knowledge bases about natural resource and material flows within and among countries, so as to better understand the importance of material resources in member countries' economies. In several EU Member States, material flow accounts are part of official statistics. Material flow analysis (MFA) is a valuation method which assesses the efficiency of use of materials using information from material flow accounting. Material flow analysis helps to identify waste of natural resources and other materials in the economy which would otherwise go unnoticed in conventional economic monitoring systems. Resource use and resource efficiency has emerged as a major issue for long-term sustainability and environmental policy.
