A Design and Implementation of Application based on HTML5 of N-Screen Service (N-Screen Service를 위한 HTML5 기반의 Application 설계 및 구현)

  • Recently, depending on the development of smart devices, a variable services have been offered to meet user's convenience. Due to these advance, the needs of users are extremely being diversified and more specific. In that situation, the needs for the N-Screen system has been varied and gradually evolved. An existing N-Screen system that use the way of video streaming upload its multimedia contents to their own cloud server so that might take a long play-reaction time and the number of user is limited by the server's performance. Because of the web based protocol adopted by existing N-Screen system, there are many different problems like high delay, overhead and something caused by simplex data communications. Therefore, to solve the problems above, this study proposes an application based on HTML5. This application supports Video tag and Progressive download via HTML5 so that improves the play-reaction time for multimedia contents. This system can also get rid of the chronic problems such as an access limitation for lots of users as per video streaming encoding. Also, through web sockets, this study proposes a system that has lower delay than the existing system and communicates in full duplex to be able to link dynamically.

An Efficient SVC Transmission Method in an If Network (IP 네트워크 전송에 적합한 효율적인 SVC 전송 기법)

  • Over recent years, the development of multimedia devices has meant that a wider multimedia streaming service can be supported, and there are now many ways in which TV channels can communicate with different terminals. Generally, scalable video streaming is known to provide more efficient channel capacity than simulcast video streaming. Simulcast video streaming requires a large network bandwidth for all resolutions, but scalable video streaming needs only one flow for all resolutions. On the contrary, to preserve the same video quality, SVC(Sealable Video Coding) needs a higher bit-rate than AVC(non-layered Video Coding) due to the coding penalty($10%{\sim}30%$). In previous research, scalable video streaming has been compared with simulcast video streaming for network channel capacity, in two-user simulation environments. The simulation results show that the channel capacity of SVC is $16{\sim}20%$ smaller than AVC, but scalable video streaming is not efficient because of the limit of the present network framework. In this paper, we propose a new network framework with a new router using EDE(Extraction Decision Engine) and SVC Extractor to improve network performance. In addition, we compare the SVC environment in the proposed framework with previous research on the same way subject. The proposed network framework shows a channel capacity 50%(maximum) lower than that found in previous research studies.

  • IEEE-1394 버스(이하 13394 버스)는 가정용 가전기기와 컴퓨터를 서로연결 할 수 있는 버스로 100Mbps, 200Mbps, 400Mbps의 광대역폭을 제공하고 데이터를 전달하는 방법으로 비동기 (asynchromous)전송뿐만 아니라 등시성(isochronous)전송도 제공한다. 비동기 전송은 시간의 제약이 없고 정확한 전달이 필요한 데이터에 적합한 반면 등시성 전송은 실시간을 요구하고정확한 전잘이 필요없는 데이터에 적합한 특성을 가진다. 1394 버스는 멀티미디어 데이터를 생성하고 편집하는 장치들을 서로 연결시키고 기존의 LAN이 갖는 대역폭의 부족과 프로토콜살의 실시간 전송 방법의 부재 때문에 진정한 의미의 실시간 구현이 어려웠던 화상 전화기, 화상회의 시스템, 비디오편집 시스템을 가능하게 한다. 이러한 멀티미디어 응용 시스템은1)대용향의 멀티미디어 파일 전송을 필요로 하고 화상전화기 혹은 화상회의 시스템은 2) 고속의 파일 전송을 요구하게 된다. 또 두사람이 화상 전화기를 통해 통신을 하면서 여러 가지 문서를 교환하는 경우 최대한 빠르게 파일 전송이 완료될 필요가 있다. 현재 1394버스에서 IP가 올리는 일이 진행중이므로 기존의 FTP는 사용할 수 없다. 게다가 1394 버스에 IP가 올라가더라도 1394 버스 내에서 대용량의 파일을 더 빠르고 정확하게 전달하기 위해서는 IP오버헤드가 없고 1394 버스의 특성을 직접 이용한 새로운 파일 전송 기법이 필요하다. 1394 버스내에서 대용량의 파일을 빠르고 정확하게 전송하는 기법을 찾기 위해서는 비동기 전송과 등기성 전송의 특성을 잘 이해해야하고 각 전송 방법으로 파일을 전송 할 때 생기는 장단점들을 파악해야한다. 본 논문에서는 비동기 전송과 등기성 전송을 이용한 팔일 전송 기법을 각각 제시하고 실험을 통해 이들의 특성을 비교분석하였다.미에서 uronic acid 함량이 두 배 이상으로 나타났다. 흑미의 uronic acid 함량이 가장 많이 용출된 분획은 sodium hydroxide 부분으로서 hemicellulose구조가 polyuronic acid의 형태인 것으로 사료된다. 추출획분의 구성단당은 여러 곡물연구의 보고와 유사하게 glucose, arabinose, xylose 함량이 대체로 높게 나타났다. 점미가 수가용성분에서 goucose대비 용출함량이 고르게 나타나는 경향을 보였고 흑미는 알칼리가용분에서 glucose가 상당량(0.68%) 포함되고 있음을 보여주었고 arabinose(0.68%), xylose(0.05%)도 다른 종류에 비해서 다량 함유한 것으로 나타났다. 흑미는 총식이섬유 함량이 높고 pectic substances, hemicellulose, uronic acid 함량이 높아서 콜레스테롤 저하 등의 효과가 기대되며 고섬유식품으로서 조리 특성 연구가 필요한 것으로 사료된다.리하였다. 얻어진 소견(所見)은 다음과 같았다. 1. 모년령(母年齡), 임신회수(姙娠回數), 임신기간(姙娠其間), 출산시체중등(出産時體重等)의 제요인(諸要因)은 주산기사망(周産基死亡)에 대(對)하여 통계적(統計的)으로 유의(有意)한 영향을 미치고 있어 $25{\sim}29$세(歲)의 연령군에서, 2번째 임신과 2번째의 출산에서 그리고 만삭의 임신 기간에, 출산시체중(出産時體重) $3.50{\sim}3.99kg$사이의 아이에서 그 주산기사망률(周産基死亡率)이 각각 가장 낮았다. 2. 사산(死産)과 초생아사망(初生兒死亡)을 구분(區分)하여 고려해 볼때 사산(死産)은 모성(母性)의 임신력(姙娠歷)과 매우 밀접한 관련이 있는 것으로 사료(思料)되었고 초생아사망(初生兒死亡)은 미숙아(未熟兒)와 이에 관련된 병발이 거의 결정

Pre-Planned Tree Reconfiguration Mechanism for QoS Multicast Routing (QoS 멀티캐스트 라우팅을 위한 계획된 트리 재구성 방법)

  • A multicast tree includes several, possibly a large number of, paths connecting source-receiver pairs, and network failure may disable part of the multicast tree. Reconstruction of the entire multicast tree to recover from a component failure is highly undesirable, because some group members have to suffer service disruptions even though the communication paths to/from them are not affected by the failure. To limit reconfiguration region and to maximize the likelihood of successful reconfiguration, we propose and evaluate a pre-planned reconfiguration policy for QoS multicast sessions. Specifically, we equip a reconfiguration path (RP) with each end-to-end path that connects a source-receiver pair in the multicast tree, and reserve resources in advance along the RPs. Efficient resource-sharing techniques are applied to reduce the amount of resources reserved for RPs but not used in the absence of failures. This way, we prevent uncontrolled competition among different multicast sessions which may simultaneously try to recover from failures. We evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme using simulation on randomly-generated networks. We use the shortest-path routing for QoS multicast sessions, and simulate both source-based and shared multicast trees. The evaluation results indicates that successful pre-planned reconfiguration can be achieved for all group members with reasonable overhead. Our scheme is also shown to adapt well to dynamic changes of group membership.

The QoS Filtering and Scalable Transmission Scheme of MPEG Data to Adapt Network Bandwidth Variation (통신망 대역폭 변화에 적응하는 MPEG 데이터의 QoS 필터링 기법과 스케일러블 전송 기법)

  • Although the proliferation of real-time multimedia services over the Internet might indicate its successfulness in dealing with heterogeneous environments, it is obvious, on the other hand, that the internet now has to cope with a flood of multimedia data which consumes most of network communication channels due to a great deal of video or audio streams. Therefore, for the purpose of an efficient and appropriate utilization of network resources, it requires to develop and deploy a new scalable transmission technique n consideration of respective network environment and individual clients computing power. Also, we can eliminate the waste effects of storage device and data transmission overhead in that the same video stream duplicated according to QoS. The purpose of this paper is to develop a technology that can adjust the amount of data transmitted as an MPEG video stream according to its given communication bandwidth, and technique that can reflect dynamic bandwidth while playing a video stream. For this purpose, we introduce a media scalable media decomposer working on server side, and a scalable media composer working o n a client side, and then propose a scalable transmission method and a media sender and a media receiver in consideration of dynamic QoS. Those methods proposed her can facilitate an effective use of network resources, and provide multimedia MPEG video services in real-time with respect to individual client computing environment.

Bandwidth Reservation and Call Admission Control Mechanisms for Efficient Support of Multimedia Traffic in Mobile Computing Environments (이동 컴퓨팅 환경에서 멀티미디어 트래픽의 효율적 지원을 위한 대역폭 예약 및 호 수락 제어 메커니즘)

  • One of the most important issues in guaranteeing the high degree of QoS on mobile computing is how to reduce hand-off drops caused by lack of available bandwidth in a new cell. Each cell can request bandwidth reservation to its adjacent cells for hand-off calls. This reserved bandwidth can be used only for hand-offs, not for new calls. It is also important to determine how much of bandwidth should be reserved for hand-off calls because reserving too much would increase the probability of a new call being blocked. Therefore, it is essential to develop a new mechanism to provide QoS guarantee on a mobile computing environment by reserving an appropriate amount of bandwidth and call admission control. In this paper. bandwidth reservation and call admission control mechanisms are proposed to guarantee a consistent QoS for multimedia traffics on a mobile computing environment. For an appropriate bandwidth reservation, we propose an adaptive bandwidth reservation mechanism based on an MPP and a 2-tier cell structure. The former is used to predict a next move of the client while the latter to apply our mechanism only to the client with a high hand-off probability. We also propose a call admission control that performs call admission test only on PNC(Predicted Next Cell) of a client and its current cell. In order to minimize a waste of bandwidth caused by an erroneous prediction of client's location, we utilize a common pool and QoS adaptation scheme. In order evaluate the performance of our call admission control mechanism, we measure the metrics such as the blocking probability of new calls, dropping probability of hand-off calls, and bandwidth utilization. The simulation results show that the performance of our mechanism is superior to that of the existing mechanisms such as NR-CAT2, FR-CAT2, and AR-CAT2.
