Implementation of Efficient Cable Spreading Algorithm and Automation Program for Electrical Equipment in Power Plant (발전소 전기설비를 위한 효과적인 케이블 포설 알고리즘 및 자동화 프로그램 구현)

  • In this paper, we proposed and implemented the automated cable-spreading program which can be done effectively cabling plan for electrical equipment in power plant. Cause the process of existing cable-spreading design was written in by hand, there are grossly inefficient gain by a personal and time investment with cable omission and unfixed overfill value. Proposed automation program for cable-spreading, which is coded cable and raceway, can calculate the overfill value and raceway change. Some experiments are conducted so as to verify the proposed model, and as a result, implemented cable-spreading program is well performed.

  • Power-line communication technology is proposed to identify cables of power distribution systems. It can extend the application area of power-line communication. Distribution line cable circuits have only a limited ability to carry higher frequencies. Typically power transformers in the distribution system prevent propagating the higher frequency carrier signal. The proposed method uses the limited propagation ability to identify the cable. A novel power cable identification system is designed and implemented. The system consists of a transmitter and a receiver with power-line communication module. Some experiments are conducted to verify the theoretical concepts. Also some simulations are done to help and understand the concepts by using Simulink simulator.

Study on Multi Parameter Measurement and Analysis of Distribution High Voltage Cable Connection Part (배전용 특고압 케이블 접속재의 다변수 측정 분석 연구)

  • High voltage CV cables have been widely installed underground due to their convenience and urban aesthetics. However, cable accidents have occurred frequently owing to poor construction and natural degradations. This paper proposes the method to measure the multi parameter measurement for optimum diagnostics of high voltage cable connection parts and verifies its technical usefulness. This measurement is intended to diagnose degradations of cable connection parts by using simultaneous vibration and thermography as well as partial discharge(PD). The experiment in a shielded laboratory was carried out to verify the usefulness of the multi parameter measurement. The experiment defined the degradation of the cable connection part as 12 types, and produced each degradation sample. As a result of experiment, it was possible to check the correlation of vibration signals with regard to progress in some defects. In the case of thermography, the coherence with regard to the progress of some defects was found. We figure that the proposed method would be useful also in the noise environment.

  • 케이블 방송사업자들은 디지털화를 추진하면서, 한편으로는 케이블 망을 이용하여 초고속인터넷, 인터넷전화 등의 통신사업에도 진출하였다. 한편, 통신사업자들은 IPTV 서비스를 제공함으로써 방송분야에 진출하면서 양 사업자들의 경쟁이 도입되었다. 향후 디지털케이블방송이 IPTV와 경쟁하기 위해서는 Cable-IPTV로의 진화와 양방향 콘텐츠 서비스의 도입이 필요하고, 이를 실현할 대표적인 서비스로 T-commerce가 주목받고 있다. 또한 T-commerce 서비스 도입을 위해서는 가입자의 정보를 안전하고 효율적으로 관리할 수 있는 IdM(Identity Management) 기술이 필요하고, 본 논문에서는 디지털케이블방송에서 IdM 기술을 적용하는 방안에 대해 기술한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 기 구축된 케이블 방송망 인프라 교체에 따른 경제적 부담을 줄이면서도 효과적으로 네트워크 개선 및 진화가 용이하도록 가입자에 근접한 지점까지 전송 장치를 위치하는 방법을 제안한다. 최근 들어 케이블 방송망은 융합화, 지능화, 개인화 형태로 발전하는 미래 방송·통신 서비스의 수요 충족에 한계를 보이고 있어 이를 해결하기 위한 전송 기술의 개발 및 네트워크 진화 등이 요구되고 있는 실정이다. 국내 케이블 방송 사업자들도 네트워크 개선 및 신규 서비스 도입 등의 노력을 시도하고 있으나 기존에 설치 및 구축된 케이블 방송·통신 인프라의 전반적인 교체에 따른 경제적 부담이 걸림돌이 되고 있다. 제안한 방법에서는 전송 장비를 셀인입점으로 이동함으로 셀 분할 비용을 절감할 수 있으며 향후 셀인입점 이후의 종단 망만 업그레이드함으로써 네트워크의 개선이 가능한 장점을 가진다.

  • The UTP cable has been widely used, recently it is being developed for use in the UHF frequency band. One important characteristic of the UTP cable is NEXT. This research is to develop a pitch selection technique for an UTP cable which leads to a satisfactory NEXT. The transmission line model involving mutual inductances and capacitances between line pairs is used, and the simulation was carried out for frequencies from 1 MHz to 600 MHz. With respect to the worst margin of the NEXT for a Cat. 6 cable the simulation and measurement results show a good agreement.

  • The towing cable plays a role in dropping and salvaging the Towed Array Sonar System (TASS) into the water and transmitting the signal (information) detected by the sonar in the water to the probe or surface ship. The towing cable consists of a heavy cable and a lightweight cable in detail. The towing cable for sonar is characterized by high reliability and durability as the underwater environment deteriorates as the operating depth increases. Due to these restrictions, cases designed and manufactured in Korea are extremely rare. The core technology for towing cable design secured through this study is expected to be used in various ways in the defense industry and the private sector.

  • The demand for electric power is increasing every year. All facilities operating at power stations and all facilities used in transmitting high volumes of electric power are therefore expected to operate with a high degree of reliability. 6.6 kV XLPE 100 SQ 1C cables are used to deliver high levels of generated electric power. Depending on the method of manufacture, installation environment, and usage conditions, the deterioration processes of power cables start from the instant of operation. Cable junctions may break down in three years from the start of operation due to manufacturing or construction defects. We have invented the first device in Korea to monitor the status of live cables and installed these at Korea Western Power Co., Ltd.. We have set the criteria to determine deterioration status and specified the degree of deterioration at which one should replace the cables. In this paper, we present the effect of insulation layer and sheath on the insulation resistance status in cables.
