각종 통계패키지 내에 수용되어 있는 시계열 분석방법은 패키지의 특성이나 기능에 따라 다소 차이가 있다. 본 논문에서는 일반덕으로 많이 사용되고 있는 8종류의 통계패키지 (EXECUSTAT, MINITAB, RATS, SAS, SCA, S-PLUS, TSP)에서 시계열 분석이 어떻게 이루어지는지를 비교 검토하였다. 지수평활법과 ARIMA 모형에 의한 분석방법을 중심으로 비교하였으며, 아울러 사용자 관점에서 편리하고 보다 효율적인 패키지가 갖추어야 할 기능들을 제시하였다.

외국산 통계패키지를 대체할만한 국산 통계패키지를 개발하려는 움직임이 현재 국내에서 활발히 전개되고 있다. 본 논문은 일반인을 대상으로하는 통계패키지 개발연구에 대한 경험을 토대로 통계전문가들이 많이 사용하는 모듈인 생존분석, 베이지안 분석, 보험통계분야 등에 관한 한국형 통계패키지 모듈에 대한 설계를 소개하고자 한다.

Statistical engineering contains the design of experiments, quality control/management, and reliability engineering. R is a free software environment for statistical computing and graphics that is supported by the R Foundation for Statistical Computing. R package has many functions and libraries for statistical engineering. We can use R package as a useful tool for statistical engineering. This paper shows the applications of R package for statistical engineering and suggests a R Task View for statistical engineering.

반응표면분석에 대한 교육은 실험계획법의 한 단원으로서 가르치는 데 실습시 통계 패키지를 사용한다. 이 때 수학패키지를 병행하여 사용하면 학습효과를 증진시킬 수 있다.

Most of the statistical packages being used in Korea, such as SAS or SPSS, are imported from foreign countries. Since these package are written in English, it is not easy for Korean to learn the statistical packages. Also, most of the users except statistician use these expensive packages only to draw pictures and to make tables. We introduce a Korean statistical package which can be used easily for general public.

최근 들어 반복측정 자료에 대한 관심이 늘어나면서 이러한 자료를 분석하기 위한 통계패키지가 많이 개발되어 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 연속형 반복측정 자료를 분석할 수 있는 통계모형들을 간단하게 개괄해보고 SAS, BMDP, S-PLUS, SPSS, MINITAB과 같은 통계 패키지 중에서 이러한 통계모형들을 다룰 수 있는 프로그램들을 정리해보고 그 특징들을 고찰해보았다. 그 중에서 특히 SAS의 PROC MIXED와 BMDP의 5V를 구체적으로 살펴보았다.

We can use R package as a statistical package on the education of probability and statistics in elementary, middle and high school mathematics. R is an interactive mode package and graphical presentation tools in R are powerful. The greatest advantage is that R is a general public license package. We need to consider R package as a standard statistical package on the education of probability and statistics in elementary, middle and high school mathematics.
