수학 통계용 그래픽 계산기와 통계 자료 분석용 소프트웨어를 활용하는 외국과 국내의 통계 교육의 ·추세를 소개한다. 그리고 통계 자료 분석용 소프트웨어인 Statistica의 특징을 요약한 다음 통계학을 효과적으로 교육하기 위하여 Statistica에서 제공되는 Statistica Basic Language로 프로그램한 세 가지 모듈을 제시한다. 프로그램을 입력하는 과정을 간단히 설명한 후 각 모듈을 소개한다. 처음 모듈은 숫자 값으로 표현되는 계량 자료에 대한 단순 통계량들을 구하기 위하여 분석하려는 원시 자료를 Sprea-dsheet에 입력한 다음 Statistica Basic Language로 프로그램한 모듈을 실행시킴으로써 한 번에 입력 자료에 대한 단순 통계량의 결과들을 볼 수 있도록 하였다. 둘째로 1에서 100까지 숫자들을 단순 랜덤 비복원 추출하는 과정을 프로그램한 모듈을 제시하였다. 마지막으로 프로그램한 모듈에서 제시되는 윈도우에 균일 분포에서 단순 랜덤 복원 추출하기 위한 표본의 크기와 샘플링 반복 횟수를 입력하면 표본 평균의 도수분포표와 도수분포도가 작성되어 표본 평균의 분포가 중심극한정리를 따르는가를 확인하였다.

We described the overall explanation about R statistical package in Jang(2007). With referring the contents of the 7th national mathematics curriculum, we suggest the plan for applications of R package on probability and statistics education in elementary, middle and high school mathematics.

In Korea, mathematics education of 11-12 grade students has been taken according to the 7th national mathematics curriculum, which was renovated by the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development announcement in 1997. The education of probability and statistics has been carried out as a part of this curriculum. We analyze mathematics textbooks-Practical mathematics and Mathematics I- and compare the 7th national mathematics curriculum with the 6th national mathematics curriculum.

시대적으로 요구되는 수요자(학습자) 중심 교육의 구현과 교육 공급자(학교)는 학습자의 적성, 능력, 흥미, 진로에 부합하는 교육과정을 개방하고 이에 적합한 교육환경을 제공하여 학습 주체인 학습자가 교육을 통해 생활에 필요한 능력과 적성에 맞는 진로를 찾을 수 있도록 교육과정을 운영하는 것이 제7차 교육 과정의 핵심이다. 1997년부터 시행되어 2002년 고등학교에서 처음 실시한 수학과교육과정 속의 초등 및 중등학교 통계교육과정의 개요와 특성을 살펴보고 문제점을 제시한다.

This study examined the ambiguous using the terminology of statistics at mathematics textbook of highschool in Korea and proposed the correct using of sampling error and sampling distribution of sample mean with consistency. And this paper proposed that the concept of error have to teach in context of sampling action in school mathematics.

이 연구는 사범대학 수학교육과의 교육과정 중 통계분야에 대한 사항을 논의하는 기본 자료로서 통계학 전공 교수 현황과 교육과정을 살펴보았다. 현재 수학교육과 소속의 전임교수 164명중에서 통계학 전공교수는 7명으로서 전체의 4.3%를 차지하고 있다. 또, 확률 및 통계영역에 대한 교육과정의 편성은 6.1%를 차지하고 있다. 따라서, 통계학에 대한 교수 및 교육과정 편성이 적어도 10%는 되도록 노력하여야 한다.

한국과 미국(North Carolina주)의 확률과 통계 교육 내용을 고찰한 결과 한국과 미국(North Carolina주)은 내용적인 면에서 많은 차이를 보였다. 한국의 경우, 9-가 단계와 10-가 단계, 선택과목 중 수학 I, 실용수학, 이산수학 과목에 제시되어 있는 확률과 통계 영역은 심화선택과목인 확률과 통계 과목의 내용을 축소하여 재구성한 내용을 제시하고 있다. 미국(North Carolina주)은 한국과는 달리, Introductory Mathematics, Algebra(I, II), Technical Mathematics(1, 2) Advanced Mathematics, Advanced Placement Calculus, Discrete Mathematics, Integrated Mathematics(1, 2, 3), Geometry 과목에서 확률과 통계 영역은 각 과목과 연관성 있는 내용으로 구성되어 있다. 한국의 심화 선택과목인 확률과 통계 과목과 미국(North Carolina주)의 AP통계(Advanced Placement Statistics)를 비교한 결과, 전체적으로, 자료의 정리, 확률변수와 확률분포 영역에서 한국과 미국(North Carolina주)은 거의 유사성을 보이고 있지만, 통계적 추론에서는 미국(North Carolina주)이 한국에 비하여 강화되어 있음을 알 수 있다.
