A manual for the revised TBM tunnel specification (개정 TBM 터널 표준시방서 해설 연구)

  • With increase of the extension of long tunnels and urban tunnelling, demands on the new tunnelling technologies are raised. Currently, drilling and blasting tunnel construction method is mostly used, however, because of sever blast vibration for some occasions, complaints from local residents and rock damages are inevitable. Accordingly, TBM tunnelling is more efficient and effective for such conditions. Nevertheless, tunnel construction costs of TBM cannot compete that of the drill and blasting method in Korea. To overcome such limitations, various TBM equipments and construction technologies are required. In addition, continuous revision of the design standard and specification are required. In this study, a detailed explanation regarding the revised version of TBM section in the tunnel standard specification at 2015 is shown.

Seismic Analysis of Tunnel Structures (터널구조물의 내진해석)

  • Generally, it has been noted that underground structures have a consistent record of suffering much less damage than surface facilities during earthquakes; but it is still necessary to illustrate the dynamic response of tunnel structures subject to earthquake loadings and to provide the appropriate method for the seismic analysis of underground tunnel structures since many types of underground structures have been and will be constructed in countries situated within seismic zones. In this study, first, seismic analyses for underground tunnel structures are performed by using quasistatic analysis method and dynamic analysis method. Second, seismic analyses in tunnel portals are performed by using above methods. The results of seismic analyses for the tunnel structure show that the tunnel structure conforms to ground deformation and that seismic design by using the quasi-static analysis method is more conservative than that by using the dynamic analysis. The results of the dynamic FEM analysis for the tunnel structure show that the simplified 2-D FEM analysis using a sine wave rather than the 3-D FEM analysis can be adopted for seismic analysis. Finally, the results of the dynamic FEM analysis in tunnel portals show that the force acting on the lining is largest near to the tunnel portal when an earthquake wave propagates parallel to tunnel axis.

  • 최근 홍수의 특성과 피해 양상은 과거와는 다르게 변화하고 있으며, 급격한 도시화로 인하여 기존 하천유역의 저류 능력이 감소하였는데 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위하여 이미 외국에서는 대심도 터널을 활용한 홍수재해 관리방안이 오래전부터 활용되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 현재 서울시에 건설중인 '신월 빗물저류배수시설' 연속강우 시 대심도 터널의 수리적 안정성 평가와 운영방안 수립을 위한 수리모형실험을 실시하였다. 모형은 Froude 상사법칙을 사용하여 원형의 1/50크기로 제작하였다. 모형의 전체 저류 가능량은 모형기준 $2.78m^3$ (원형 $347,778m^3$)이며, 터널 내 잔류수는 전체 저류 가능량의 0 ~ 100%까지 10%씩 변화시켜 실험 CASE를 선정하였다. 각 실험CASE별 수직 유입구 안정성 평가를 실시한 결과 터널 내 잔류수가 10%~80%까지 존재 할 때는 저지수직구1에서의 압축공기 폭발현상으로 인한 월류현상이 발생하였으며, 10%~40%까지는 저지수직구2에서 월류현상이 발생하였다. 하지만 고지수직구에서는 모든 CASE에서의 공기폭발 현상 및 월류현상이 발생하지 않아 유입성능 및 공기배출 성능이 충분히 발휘되고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 저지수직구1에서의 월류현상 발생 시점은 5분55초에서 3분42초까지 빨라졌으며 저지수직구2에서의 월류현상 발생 시점은 5분57초에서 4분57초로 빨라졌다. 이는 터널 내 잔류수량이 증가할수록 터널 내 만관시점이 빨라져 발생하며, 저지수직구1,2에서의 압축공기 폭발현상 및 월류 현상은 터널 내에서 발생한 반사파의 영향으로 판단된다. 차후 터널 내 반사파 발생에 대한 연구가 추가적으로 진행되어야 할 것이다.

Analysis on Freezing Reduction of Road Tunnels with Heat Insulation Method during Winter (단열공법이 적용된 겨울철 도로터널의 동결저감 효과 분석)

  • Gangwon province which is located in northeast of Korea is the coldest region where average daily temperature is below zero during winter while the other regions are above zero. However, there have been insufficient researches on the insulation design and the effect of the insulation on the freezing damages, even though freezing damages were reported consistently in the lining of road tunnel during winter. In this study, to investigate the effect of insulations on the reduction of freezing damages, numerical analysis was performed considering geotechnical and meteorological characteristics in Gangwon province during winter. As a result, it was found that thickness of concrete and shotcrete in lining had negligible effect on the freezing depth while the insulation had significant effect on it. In addition, because the freezing depth is greatly affected by the thermal conductivity of the ground behind the lining in the period of cold weather, these effects should be considered in the estimation of the insulation thickness.

  • World widely, the occurrences of earthquakes have been increased recently. Speculating from cases of earthquakes in the world, it is reported that damages have been made underground structures like cut-and-cover tunnels, especially on the upper of tunnel with a shallow depth and the backfilled area adjacently by earthquakes. Earthquakes have a tendency to increase recently in Korea but it is deficient in seismic design criteria. In this study, Shaking table test on both soil and EPS blocks was performed to analyze the efficiency of the seismic performance of the cut-and-cover tunnels according to characteristic of backfill materials and embanking material. It turned out to be effective in improving the seismic performance according to analysis of strain and bending stress of tunnel by earthquakes.

  • Recently the fire is happening at the tunnel and underground - structure internationally. We are socially the economy the actual circumstances which serious loss is happening due to an fire occurrence when fire happened which is closed like tunnel and underground - structure, the collapse from the burglar degradation of strength of tunnel concrete lining and human life damage happen. It causes big problem while the long time disconnects a traffic network. While the fire happened in this research at the tunnel, the paper construct a basis data to deduce the specification regulation about stability of tunnel concrete lining. In this paper, the experiment was carried out for the prevention of explosive spalling of tunnel to use a reinforced Polypropylene concrete which mixes a Polypropylene which are known for the thing by being efficient at a protect of explosive spalling of the concrete. According to the firproof test result of reinforced Polypropylene admixture mortar, Polypropylene admixture of prevention of explosive spalling analyzed 0.2%-0.25%.

A basic study for explosion pressure prediction of hydrogen fuel vehicle hydrogen tanks in underground parking lot (지하주차장 수소연료차 수소탱크 폭발 압력 예측을 위한 기초 연구)

  • Amid growing global damage due to abnormal weather caused by global warming, the introduction of eco-friendly cars is accelerating to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from internal combustion engines. Accordingly, many studies are being conducted in each country to prepare for the explosion of hydrogen fuel in semi-closed spaces such as tunnels and underground parking lots to ensure the safety of hydrogen-electric vehicles. As a result of predicting the explosion pressure of the hydrogen tank using the equivalent TNT model, it was found to be about 1.12 times and 2.30 times higher at a height of 1.5 meters, respectively, based on the case of 52 liters of hydrogen capacity. A review of the impact on the human body and buildings by converting the predicted maximum explosive pressure into the amount of impact predicted that all predicted values would result in lung damage or severe partial destruction. The predicted degree of damage was applied only by converting the amount of impact caused by the explosion, and considering the additional damage caused by the explosion, it is believed that the actual damage will increase further and safety and disaster prevention measures should be taken.

  • 워터스크린(이하 W/S)에 의한 화재방화시스템은 도로터널에 화재가 발생시, 공간에 수막을 사용하여 구획화하고, 열 연기의 확산을 억제하며 유해 부유입자를 세정함으로서 인간의 안전을 확보 및 구조물의 피해를 극소화 하는 시스템이다. 이 W/S에 의한 구획의 성능을 평가하기 위해, 1/2의 터널 모형에 의한 공간 내 열 성장 파악을 위한 화재 실험을 분석하였고, 그 결과, 천정 근방 온도 및 방사수열량으로서는 발열 속도의 크기, 풍속의 대소에 의하지 않고 약 80%의 저감율을 나타냈다. 또, 발생한 유해 부유입자 농도에 대해서는 약 60%, 화원 성질과 상태로서 발열 속도는 약30%의 W/S에 의한 저감 효과를 나타내었다.

3개 저수지 유입시 정상상태 만관흐름해석

  • 최근 제방개수 혹은 하폭확장과 같은 기왕의 제방대책을 적용하기 힘든 도시지역의 홍수피해 저감방안의 일환으로 개수로 혹은 지하터널 형식의 방수로와 같은 구조적 대안이 제시되고 있다. 현재 국내에서 검토되고 있는 방수로의 형식은 주로 유입부와 유출부의 양 지점 수두차에 의한 만관 상태의 흐름형식이다. 본 연구에서는 수두차에 의한 만관 상태의 흐름을 가지고 있으며, 3개 지점이상의 유입부를 가진 지하터널 형식의 방수로 계획시 마찰손실, 유입손실, 만곡부손실 등을 고려하여 유입부, 유출부 지점 계획에 따른 터널의 연장, 직경 등 제원 결정을 위하여 기존에 제시되어 있는 2개 저수지 유입시 정상상태 만관 흐름해석방법을 확장하여 3개 이상 저수지 유입시 정상상태 만관 흐름해석을 할 수 있도록 하였다.
