Study on the Basic Design of Large Scale Solar Thermal Power Plant System (대규모 태양열 발전시스템 기본설계 특성 분석)

  • This paper describes characteristics and procedure of the basic design of large scale solar thermal power plant system. The evaluation is based on the operating data of CESA-I, solar central receiver plant. In order to evaluate the solar irradiation on the receiver, it is necessary to calculate the amount of thermal energy consumption at steam turbine and storage system in the STPPS. Especially, it is need to take into account of the storage and operating time to design a plant efficiently. In addition, basic design is performed for the CESA-I using the software tool of THERMOFLEX program. Based on the results, It is at lowed to use the program to investigate detail performance of each units of the STPPS by varying the operating conditions.

  • KIER has been running a demonstration project for 10kWe solar thermal power generation. the project is to build and operate the first solar thermal power generation system in Korea. For concentrating solar thermal energy $40m^2$ dish type concentrator was adapted and a stirling engine is going to be integrated to the system for power production. At the moment building the dish concentrator including mirror and sun tracking system was completed and it's performance are being closely evaluated. This paper will introduce some detailed designs and construction procedures which we have experienced so far.

  • In this study, design and manufacture of LFR (Linerar Fresnel Reflector) system was performed for solar thermal absorption cooling. The LFR system was designed considering the expansion and convenience to be installed according to the cooling capacity of the applicable building. Twelve LFR modules with a total reflection area of $204m^2$ were installed. The automatic tracking system was applied to track the sun during the daytime.

  • Recently, various researches about water resources management system have been conducted in order to handle many problems, for example, climate change can provoke rapid change of water circulation, continuous population increase, population concentration phenomenon and so on. For population concentration region, many researches about water resources management system have been carried out, but many regions far away from civilization have not been handled as research topics. Especially these regions always need electricity supply infra, but significant costs will be required to construct the infra. Therefore this paper presents a methodology in order to generate the electricity from new renewable energy resources and supply the electricity into these region. For this, solar thermal generation system was experimentally studied. Moreover, this solar power generation system was considered as an important component to establish an ESS (Energy Storage System).

  • 탄소배출권이 도시환경에 대한 이슈가 됨에 따라 탄소배출을 줄이는 방법에 대한 관심이 올라갔다. 이런 이유로 옥상에 녹지를 조성하는 Green Roof와 태양열 전지를 이용한 무공해 전기 발전에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있다. 이러한 이유로, 본 논문에서는 Green Roof와 태양열 전지를 이용한 Green Roof의 관리 그리고 에너지 효율을 시각화하는 시스템을 제안한다.

  • In this study, a solar thermal system is designed to provide hot water and electricity for improvement of solar thermal energy availability in an apartment complex. The electricity is generated with Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) by the solar thermal energy. R134a, R141b and R245fa are selected for operating fluid of the solar thermal ORC system. ORC with R245fa shows the best performance based on the variation of pressure. The irreversibility of component showed that the technology advance of the evaporator ensures a performance improvement. The sensitivity study results indicate that the turbine performance is most effective way to improve the performance of ORC system. An economic analysis showed that approximately 50% more income could be achieved by a solar thermal ORC system with a hot water supply.

  • The simulation analyses of a solar power system with monolithic concentrator by using a stirling engine are carried out to predict the system performance in four test sites. The site has different intensities and distributions of direct solar radiation respectively. Seoul, Pusan and Cheju in Korea, and Naha in Japan are selected as test sites. To accomplish the same demand of a 25 kW output that the power level of a system has, it needs to take the matching of collector/receiver with engine/generator systems. In such a case, also, the size of the collector is sometimes adjusted. In this study, the diameter of the collector is decided by using the solar radiation of design point, which is defined as the sum of average and standard deviation $\sigma$ of maximum direct solar radiation distribution for a day during a year in the respective test site. It is found that the average power output during the system operating time in the case of slope error ${\sigma}_s=2.5$ is within the range of 9 to 13 kW.

  • As a final step for developing a small-scale solar thermal power generation technology, a demonstration project for a dish-stirling power system has been carried out by KIER. During the two years project period, 10kW solar-only power system was built in Jinhae city and successful solar operations were demonstrated. In this paper an example of typical clean day operation and analysis results was introduced.

  • 태양광 발전은 이산화탄소 배출로 인한 기후 변화에 대응하는 주요 수단으로 인식되어 수요와 필요성이 급격하게 증가하고 있다. 최적의 태양광 발전 시스템의 운영을 위해서는 정교한 전력수요 및 태양광 발전량 예측 모델이 요구되며, 온도 및 일사량은 태양광 발전량 예측 모델의 필수적인 입력 변수이다. 하지만, 한국 기상청의 동네예보는 일사량에 관한 예측값을 제공하지 않아 정교한 태양광 발전량 예측 모델을 구축하는 것은 어렵다. 이를 위해 일사량 예측 기법에 관한 많은 연구사례가 보고되고 있지만, 다수의 연구들은 충분한 데이터 셋을 이용하여 일사량 예측 모델을 개발하였다. 초기 태양광 발전 시스템 운영을 위해서는 불충분한 데이터 셋을 이용한 예측 모델 개발이 필요하나 이에 대한 사례는 불충분하다. 본 논문은 실제 태양광 발전 시스템에서 수집된 불충분한 데이터 셋을 이용한 단기 일사량 예측 기법을 제안한다. 먼저, 기상청 동네예보의 다양한 기상 요인들을 이용하여 일사량 예측 모델을 위한 입력 변수를 구성한다. 다음으로, 조건부 랜덤 포레스트를 이용하여 일사량 예측 모델을 구성하며, 설명 가능한 일사량 예측뿐만 아니라 더욱더 많은 데이터 셋을 학습하기 위해 시계열 교차검증을 수행한다. 실험 결과, 제안한 기법은 다른 예측 기법들보다 높은 예측 정확도를 보일 뿐만 아니라 설명 가능한 예측 결과를 제시할 수 있음을 보여준다.

  • 몇해전부터 우리는 고유가라는 새로운 시대에 살면서도 고유가를 위한 합리적인 대안이 무엇인지에 대해 고민해보는 일은 매우 소홀하게 여기고 있다. 과연 인류최대의 현안인 환경문제와 에너지문제를 동시에 해결할 대체에너지는 없는지... 이러한 궁금증에 대해 관심을 갖는 이들은 매우적다. 우리는 태양열, 태양광발전, 바이오매스, 풍력, 소수력, 지열, 해양에너지, 폐기물에너지 8개분야의 신재생에너지중 풍력발전에 대해 알아보고 현재 국 · 내외에 설치돼 있는 풍력발전시스템에 대해 알아보고자 한다.
