Despite the importance of the needs assessment activities and the necessity of the systematical investigation on the features of the needs assessment in the social service agencies, it has been observed that the recent NA studies have ignored an important study area of NA, the utilization of needs assessment results in social service agencies. Therefore, this study was undertaken to investigate salient features of the utilization of community needs assessment results, particularly, in the social welfare centers located in Seoul city. A questionnaire was constructed with seven parts, including a dependent variable and 6 independent variables, and 67 questionnaires were collected from 90 agencies during two months. As the result of the descriptive analyses, the five noticeable features were found; (1) the needs assessment results in the agencies was not highly utilized; (2) the attitude on the NA activities was not highly positive because the responders thought that NA activities require too much time from agency staff; (3) agency staff was more actively involved in the NA process than agency directors; (4) the responders thought that quality of NA influences on the utilization of NA; (5) the respondents were confident in carrying out NA although they did not have many opportunities to learn the technical skills of NA research. Multiple regressions were applied to analyze the relationship between independent variables and three kind of dependent variables - conceptual utilization, instrumental utilization, total utilization. The result showed that the conceptual utilization was critically influenced by social workers' confidence on NA, attitude on NA, and directors' involvement in NA. The institutional utilization was influenced by the directors' involvement. The total utilization was influenced by social workers' attitude on NA, confidence on NA, and directors's involvement. Major findings were discussed and several suggestions were made for future research and improvement of the utilization of needs assessment result in social welfare centers.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop and conduct an intensive education program on infection control and investigated how the program influenced nursing students' knowledge, attitude, and confidence in the infection control. Methods: The program was conducted for four days between January 5 and 8, 2016, for seven hours per day. The program was conducted by the specialists in infectious diseases and the nurses specializing in infection, and the third year students enrolled in E University participated in the program. Knowledge, attitude, and confidence in infection control were measured before and after the program in the students that participated in the program and those who did not. The experimental group consisted of 33 students while the control group comprised 28 students. Results: The two groups were found to be homogeneous before the education program. After four days of intensive education program, the experimental group showed statistically significant improvements in knowledge (t=2.02, p=.048), attitude (t=2.04, p=.045), and performance confidence (t=2.75, p=.008) in infection control when compared to the control group. Conclusion: The present study showed that our intensive education program on hospital infection control was effective for the nursing students who will be professional nurses who will carry out autonomous roles in infection control in a near future.
Purpose is to systematically examine the factors related to patient safety nursing of nursing university students in a convergent and complex aspect and to identify the effect size through meta-analysis. The research method used PRISMA(Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses). Medline, Embases, CINAHL, DBpia, Research Information Service System (Riss), and Korean Studies Information Service (Kiss) were used, while overseas databases were searched using MeSH terms and Emtrees. The search term was [(patient safety or patient harm or safety management) and (students, nursing)] or [(patient safety or patient harm or safety management) and (education, nursing, graduate)].The research found that nursing performance, knowledge, attitude, self-confidence, recognition, and cognition were found to be relevant factors in the order of confidence, attitude, recognition, and knowledge.

Elementary information education is currently provided in accordance with the 2000 ICT educational guidelines. Although the focus of education has shifted from practical use to computer science since 2005, in which way academic education should be led isn't yet clear. The purpose of this study was to examine the impacts of computer science education(CS education) by an education programming tool on school children's awareness of that education. The selected students received education about unplugged, scratch and robot programming, part of the computer science curriculum, in 12 sessions. As a result, there were significant differences between the experimental and control groups in all the variables that included attitude to computer science, interest in that, satisfaction level, self-efficacy and perception of the value of CS education. The findings of the study suggested that in CS education, the improvement of thinking faculty should take precedence over practical use of what's learned, which is expected to heighten the value of that education.
Purpose: To investigate the relationships among mother's perception of her own newborn, her caring-confidence level, and her child-rearing attitude; and to provide data for developing effective nursing education programs on maternal newborn care. Method: Explorative survey questionnaires were completed by 159 married mothers of newborns from November 2003 to March 2004. Data were analyzed using SPSS/Win 10.0 by t-test and Pearson's Correlation coefficient. Result: The mean scores of the mother's perception of her own newborn, her caring- confidence level, and her child-rearing attitude were .26, 3.13, and 3.43 respectively. There was a positive correlation between mother's perception of her own newborn and her child-rearing attitude. There was a significant correlation between mothers caring-confidence level and her child-rearing attitude. Score of caring-confidence was significantly different depending on the availability of helper and history of delivery. Conclusion: Availability of helper and history of delivery significantly affected mothers caring-confidence. This in turn, along with mothers perception of her own newborn, enhanced mothers child-rearing attitude. Thus, an effective education for mothers should include these factors.
Purpose: This study was undertaken to identify the association between CPR knowledge, attitude, and teacher efficacy on the performance confidence of CPR. We further investigated methods to enhance the performance ability of CPR among elementary, middle, and high school teachers. Methods: The study design was a descriptive survey conducted from October 15 to December 31, 2022, enrolling 155 elementary, middle, and high school teachers. The data were analyzed by applying Multiple regression, Pearson's correlation coefficient, one way ANOVA and Scheffé test using the SPSS/WIN 23.0 program. Results: The performance confidence of CPR among elementary, middle, and high school teachers showed a significant positive correlation with CPR knowledge (r=.49, p<.001), CPR attitude (r=.26, p<.001), and teacher efficacy (r=.25, p=.002). The factors affecting performance confidence in CPR were CPR knowledge (β=.49, p<.001), gender (β=-.26, p<.001), CPR attitude (β=.20, p=.003), health status (β=.14, p=.038), and teacher efficacy (β=.14, p=.032); these factors explained 40.5%. Conclusion: Results from the study indicate that performance confidence of CPR can be enhanced by providing frequent education on CPR knowledge and attitudes. Moreover, educational programs will aid in maintaining good health and enhance teacher efficacy.

The purpose of this study is to cornpare the differences in clinical competence, knowledge of patient safety management and confidence of patient safety management according to the clinical practice experience of nursing students, Of the 73 nursing students who experienced clinical practice and 35 nursing students who did not experience, a total of 108 students in the third grade were analyzed, In the results of this study, clinical competence(t=.88, p=.377) knowledge of patient safety management(t=-.29, p=.773), and confidence of patient safety management(t=1.11, p=.267) the difference between was not statistically significant in the two groups. In the two groups, the score of the sub-area according to each variable is the lowest. First, the sub-area of the nursing process a lowest score in clinical competence, and the second, the sub-area of measuring knowledge about concept of near miss was the Knowledge of patient safety management. The score was the lowest in, and thirdly, the sub-area of writing an incident report when an error occurred had the lowest score in confidence of patient safety management. Therefore, in order to improve the quality of clinical competence of nursing students, it is necessary to develop a strategic educational guideline to improve the clinical practice education environment, to improve patient safety management capabilities and to cultivate correct attitudes toward patient safety management.
The objective of study was to identify perceived medication administration Competence of senior nursing students. A total of 128 students were recruited. The instruments for this study were self-efficacy for drug dosage calculation, anxiety for drug dosage calculation and perceived medication administration competence. The data were collected from November 2018 to January 2019, analyzed by descriptive analysis, chi-square, t-test, Scheffe test, correlation coefficients, and multiple regression using the SPSS 25.0 program. The main predictors of perceived medication administration competence were identified as confidence in drug dosage calculation (${\beta}=.463$, p<.001), Attitude of participation at clinical practice (${\beta}=.168$, p=.040). These two factors explained about 29% of variance in perceived medication administration competence (F=26.93, p<.001). It can contribute to improve their ability to administrate medication in practice, with the accuracy of prescription, recalculation of prescribed drug dose, and observation of adverse reactions in clinical practice and simulation with collaborative approach.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effects of self-efficacy on the relationship between perceived father's rearing attitude and leisure satisfaction/leisure constraint in junior high school students. A survey was conducted using a convenient sample drawn from 448 students from eleven junior high school in Seoul area. Data were analyzed using SPSS 20.0 program. The results showed that students who perceived their father's rearing attitude as affection-rational explanation performed more of out-door leisure activity with their family. Perceived father's rearing attitude and self-efficacy was positively related with leisure satisfaction but negatively related with leisure constraint. In addition, self-efficacy partially mediated the relationship between perceived father's rearing attitude and leisure satisfaction/leisure constraint. These results suggest the leisure activity could be increased by father's rearing attitude through improving self-efficacy. Therefore, to improve the leisure activity through increase of leisure satisfaction and decrease of leisure constraint, father should raise their children in love and help to grow their self-efficacy.
