증기 터빈축 강재의 장시간 크리프 수명 예측법 개선 (Improvement of long-time creep life prediction of steam turbine rotor steel)

  • This paper deals with a study on improvement of long-time creep life prediction of steam turbine rotor steels by using initial strain method as a new approach at high temperatures of 500 to 70$0^{\circ}C$ . The main result shows that the inital strain method could be reliably utilized to predict and evaluate the long-time creep life as creep rupture strength and that the predicting equation for long-time creep life under a certain creep stress at a certain high temperature could be empirically derived out from each initial instantaneous strain measured.

  • MX 석출물 형성 원소인 V과 Nb을 첨가한 11Cr-1Mo-VNb 페라이트계 내열강의 각각의 시험 온도에서 파단 시간에 따른 미세조직의 변화를 연구하였다. 초기 조직은 템퍼드 마르텐사이트 조직을 갖고 있었으며, 고온 강도를 저하시키는 ${\delta}$-페라이트는 존재하지 않았다. 주 석출상은 $M_{23}C_6$와 MX로 확인되었다. 또한, 모든 크리프 파단재에서 응력을 받은 게이지 부분이 응력을 받지 않은 그립 부분보다 석출물 및 마르텐사이트 래스 폭의 성장이 가속되는 결과를 나타내었다. 이는 크리프 변형 중 응력 집중에 의해 래스 경계를 따라 전위가 집적되고, 이에 따른 용질원자의 확산 속도가 증가하여 석출물의 성장에 따른 래스 경계의 이동이 일어나 게이지 부분이 그립 부분보다 마르텐사이트 회복이 가속된 것으로 판단된다.

  • This paper is concerned with the stochastic nature of elevated temperature tensile strength and creep rupture time in 18Cr-8Ni stainless steels. The Weibull statistical analysis using the NRIM data sheet has been performed to investigate the effects of variability of the elevated temperature tensile strength and creep rupture time on the testing temperature. From those investigations, the distributions of temperature tensile strength and creep rupture time were well followed in 2-parameter Weibull. The shape parameter and scale parameter for the Weibull distribution of tensile strength were decreased with increasing the testing temperature. For the creep rupture time, generally, the shape parameter were decreased with increasing the testing temperature.

  • The characteristics of the probability distribution for mechanical properties, e.g. tensile strength, reduction of area ana elongation, for STS304 stainless steel in elevated temperature were investigated from tensile test performed by constant cross head speea controls with 1mm/min, Recently, in order to clarify the strengthening mechanisms at high temperature, a new scheme to improve high temperature mechanical properties is desired. Therefore, the test ,technique development of high temperature creep behaviors for this material is very important. In this paper, the creep praperties and creep life prediction by Larson-Miller parameter method for STS304 stainless steel to be used for other high temperature components were presented at the elevated temperatures of 600, 650 and $700^{\circ}C$.

  • In this 1st report, the relationship between pure creep properties and initial strain was studied and also its acoustic emission test was performed during creep test at 500, 600 and $700^{\circ}C$. And the applicability of the acoustic emission technique was investigated to analyze the quantitive relationship between all the pure properties (creep strength, creep repture time or creep life, steady state creep rate, total creep rate, creep strain, total creep strain, etc.) and the initial strains as well as to analyze AE properties during the pure creep loading condition.

  • In this paper, the creep properties and creep life prediction by Larson-Miller Parameter method for Udimet 720 to be used for aircraft gas turbine engines or other high temperature components were presented at the elevated temperatures of 538, 649 and $704^{\circ}C$. It was confirmed experimentally and quantitatively that a creep life predictive equation at such various high temperatures was well derived by LMP.

스테인리스 강의 단시간 크리프 파단시간의 변동성과 수명예측 (Variability of Short Term Creep Rupture Time and Life Prediction in Stainless Steels)

  • This paper deals with the variability of short term creep rupture time based on previous creep rupture tests and the statistical methodology of the creep life prediction. The results of creep tests performed using constant uniaxial stresses at 600, 650, and $700^{\circ}C$ elevated temperatures were used for a statistical analysis of the inter-specimen variability of the short term creep rupture time. Even under carefully controlled identical testing conditions, the observed short-term creep rupture time showed obvious inter-specimen variability. The statistical aspect of the short term creep rupture time was analyzed using a Weibull statistical analysis. The effect of creep stress on the variability of the creep rupture time was decreased with an increase in the stress level. The effect of the temperature on the variability also decreased with increasing temperature. A long term creep life prediction method that considers this statistical variability is presented. The presented method is in good agreement with the Lason-Miller Parameter (LMP) life prediction method.

마찰용접된 니켈기 초내열합금 Alloy718의 고온 크리프 파단 특성 (High Temperature Creep Rupture Characteristics of Ni-Based Alloy718 Jointed by Friction Welding)

  • The short-term high temperature creep rupture behavior of Ni-based Alloy718 steels jointed by friction welding wasinvestigated at the elevated temperatures of 550 to $700^{\circ}C$ under constant stress conditions. The creep rupture characteristics such as creep stress, rupture time, steady state creep rate, and initial strain were evaluated. Creep stress has a quantitative correlation between creep rupture time and steady state creep rate. The stress exponents (n, m) of the experimental data at 550, 600, 650 and $700^{\circ}C$ were derived as 26.1, -22.4, 22.5, -18.5, 17.4, -14.3 and 6.9, -8.1, respectively. The stress exponents decreased with increasing creep temperature. The creep life prediction was derived by the Larson-Miller parameter (LMP) method and the result equation obtained is as follows: T(logtr+20)=-0.00148${\sigma}^2$-3.089${\sigma}$+23232. Finally, the results were compared with those of the base metal for Alloy718.

  • 발전설비 및 자동차의 엔진에서 고온과 응력이 발생하므로 안전을 위하여 제품을 생산하기 전에 재료의 수명설계가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 온도, 응력, 파단 시간으로 이루어진 무기력계수를 이용하여 수명설계를 수식화하였다. 통합수명식을 이용하여 SP-Creep 시험 데이터와 계산된 데이터를 비교하였다. SP-Creep 시험은 X20CrMoV121강의 파단시간을 획득하기 위하여 수행하였고 수명설계식을 통해 하중, 온도, 하중-온도가 작용하는 3가지 경우를 고려하였다. 첫째로, 무기력계수는 SP-Creep 시험에서 획득한 파단응력과 시간에 의해 계산하였다. 두 번째로, 온도 조건을 주어 수명을 예상하였다. 세 번째로, 부재는 피로와 크리프가 동시에 작용할 때 커플링 효과 때문에 더 열악한 상태에 놓이게 된다. 수명은 커플링 효과 때문에 현저하게 감소하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • In this report for the assessment of creep properties of high-temperature tube materials in power plants, the long-time($10^4$~105h) creep life prediction by ISM for 2.25Cr1Mo steel was studied. It was clarified experimentally and quantitatively that the newly developed long-time creep life prediction equation was very coincident with the actual experimental data with high confidence, and the model was $t_r=\alpha\varepsilon_0^{\beta}\sigma^{-1}$.
