Popularly known to be originated in museums and art galleries, curation is widely applied in many other fields ranging from curation commerce to curated databases by today. Libraries also have started to provide different types of curation services such as data curation, digital curation, content curation, book curation, and social curation. However, the relationship between the curation service and the library service is not adequately studied and documented. The objective of this paper is to address that gap by analyzing the relationship between curation service and the library service. Particularly, this paper pays attention to study the relationship between curation service and library reference service. The research methods used by this study were an extensive literature review followed by some carefully selected real-world examples of curation services in libraries and other fields. The authors have analyzed and documented the origin and the meaning of two concepts, the challenges faced by library reference service, and the applicability of curation as a modest form of library reference service in the $21^{st}$-century. Based on the study findings, this paper concludes that curation service is not a new concept for the library but a natural evolution of the library reference service in response to the changing information environment and user expectations in the digital age.

This study has examined the policy status of the specialized libraries and analyzed the status of curation services of libraries and similar institutions and portals, and proposed policy directions for the curation services provision of the specialized libraries. As for the results of this study, first, curation information is collected and selected through the participation of various curators, and the curation information is regularly updated on the websites and online gateways toward maximizing the perception of the book collections in place and the use of collections. Second, the scope of the specialized libraries' curation services are diversified, such as research support services, one-on-one customized curation services, and book curation. Third, digital curation services are constructed in connection with specialized themes. Fourth, beacon is installed inside, and based on the information received from the information forwarding media, individualized user services are provided via such data as the scope of movement of the users and the time entailed for dwelling in a space.

In the rapidly changing information environment, users' information needs are diversified, and the necessity for libraries to provide customized curation services away from traditional services is increasing. Although the Second University Library Promotion Plan (2019~2023) mentions user-centered customized services, it is difficult to implement customized curation services in the current university library situation. Therefore, this study examined the theory and case of gamification applied to various fields inside and outside the library to apply gamification to the library, suggested MDA+ and found the junction with library curation service, and built gamification-based curation service prototype for job roadmap in university library. Finally, implications were drawn through verification of field experts.

The purpose of this study is to propose a data curation service to support teaching and learning activities of university libraries. To this end, the concept of data curation has been summarized, and how to understand information services and teaching-learning information data curation of university libraries. As a traditional extension of library information services, the use of university library data curation services has been proposed. As a result of research, data curation suggests that it is appropriate to understand the data by focusing more on the utilization of data. The university library emphasized that the data curation service is needed through the establishment of an institutional repository of teaching-learning activity materials for the visible effects that contribute to the educational service of the parent university. Finally, the research was completed by presenting five levels of teaching and learning information data curation framework.

The purpose of this study was to present a content curation strategy of the university library to support user learning and research. As a method to achieve the purpose of the study, first, the concept of content curation was examined through literature research. After that, implications were found by analyzing the cases of content curation services such as university libraries, national libraries, and content companies. As a result of the study, five strategies for successful content curation of university libraries were proposed: providing high quality contents, performing preemptive information service roles, keep content up to date, securing interactivity through user participation, and developing personalization algorithms.

The purpose of this study is to discuss the improvement plan of book curation service by examining the current status of book curation, necessity and effectiveness of book curation, targeting librarian teachers. A questionnaire survey was conducted targeting 51 librarians in the Gyeonggi region. The main results are as follows. First, 86.3% of respondents had experience in book curation operation. Second, the most important reason for book curation service was to introduce resources of various subjects to students. Third, the subject of curation were selected by book event and social issues. Fourth, there were many cases where librarians performed services without receiving training on book curation. Lastly, although the recognition that book curation services are necessary is high, they are experiencing operational difficulties due to lack of space and budget. Based on the results, Based on the results, we suggested that this study has academic contributions as data that reports the reality of book curation, and that in order to actively match library resources with users without disappearing, professional education and curriculum of librarians should be able to eliminate common problems in previous studies.

As the core task was selected in the 3rd Comprehensive Library Advancement Plan, 'Reinforcement of programs and services to strengthen future citizens' capacity required in the Fourth Industrial Revolution', the customized curation service of the library using artificial intelligence technology has recently been in the spotlight. The purpose of this study is to find out how the customized curation service affects the relationship between the library and the user. As a result, the library curation service was proved to have a statistically significant effect on user satisfaction and reliability. Satisfaction and reliability were also found to have a positive effect on library revisit, word of mouth intention, increased use, and new service intention. The results of this study can be used as basic data for the development and the operation of customized curation services based on user demand surveys, and could further contribute to enhancing the status of public libraries in Korea by mproving the competitiveness of libraries in the future society.

Digital curation can be said that the new information management and services in the digital age. In terms of exploring the systematic management and services for the information resources in the digital environment, Digital curation is one the core areas of library and information science. This study was set up a research areas as a result of reviewing the related literatures, and analyzed the research trends to the scholarly articles retrieved from a representative databases in the areas of Library and Information Science (LISTA). Also, I suggested future research agendas for digital curation in the areas of library and information science based on the results of the this analysis.

콘텐츠 큐레이션 서비스를 위해서 대용량 데이터를 학습하는 과정에서 발생하는 메모리부족 문제, 학습소요시간 문제 등을 해결하기 위한 "대용량 문서학습을 위한 동적학습 파이프라인 생성기술 중 빅데이터 마이닝을 위한 점진적 학습 모델" 기술이 필요하며, 본 논문에서 제안한 콘텐츠 큐레이션 서비스는 온라인상의 수많은 콘텐츠들 중 개인의 주관이나 관점에 따라 관련 콘텐츠들을 수집, 정리하고 편집하여 이용자와 관련이 있거나 좋아할 만한 콘텐츠를 제공하는 서비스이다. 큐레이션 서비스에서는 개인비서, 금융 분야의 투자, 자율주행, 저널리즘, 효율적인 업무 지시/감독, 제조업의 자동화 공정, 교육, 콘텐츠 유통, 학술정보 등에서 컴퓨터가 방대한 양의 데이터로 부터 학습하여 사람의 일을 대신 처리하거나 의사결정에 도움을 줌으로써 업무의 효율을 높여주는 서비스 산업에 활용이 가능하다.
