  • Recently IPTV that transmits multimedia contents in real time through internet, cable TV net and satelite net gets the limelight. But IPTV service that gives service to users by various media has a problem of not supporting user certification fully. This paper suggests a certification model which prevents getting access permission of IPTV service by sending illegal certification information by adolescent through integrating mobile communication technique with RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) technique which is a key technique of Ubiquitous environment. This model performs the process of adult certification by keeping synchronization with user's certificaiton information that is saved in data-base of certification server and contents server after getting the system of class categorization in contents server to overcome disadvantage of simple adult certification system that is popular in the existing internet. Also, it adapts double hash chain technique not to down load illegally contents without the permission of manager even if an adolescent gets manager's approval key.

  • Interests for User Interface directly influencing on usability are also growing as the competition between DCATV and IPTV come to the surface, according to getting activated Interactive TV market. Therefore, this study has the purpose to understand mental models of users for Interactive TV service & Interface. The methods for this study are as follows. First, as the step considering literature study, we compared differences between DCATV and IPTV and caught up the concepts of DCATV and IPTV among some types of Interactive TV. Second, we examinated and analysed Hello TV, C&M, Broad&TV, MegaTV, myLGtv as the step of analysis for examples for Interactive TV. Third, as the step of researches observing users we analysed usability problems caused by differences of mental models between DCATV and IPTV. As a result, we could find there are some differences for mental model of users in Interface & services between DCATV and IPTV Especially, it was found that users feel confused very much regarding perception of real time broadcasting and VOD. We regards this findings can be used as basic for concept makings of Interactive TV, when TV interface is developed in the future.

  • With the substantial increase of the size of structure, the management of excavation becomes more difficult. Therefore, massive collapses which are related to retaining wall recently increase. However, since the study on measuring and monitoring the pre-stressing force of anchor is insufficient, behavior of anchor may not be predicted and monitored appropriately by the existing strain gauge and load cell type monitoring system. FBG Sensor, which is smaller than strain gauge and has better durability and does not have a noise from electromagnetic waves, is adapted to measure the strain and pre-stressing force of 7-wire strand, so called smart tendon. A series of pullout tests were performed to verify the feasibility of smart tendon and find out the load transfer mechanism around the steel wire tendon fixed to rock with grout. Distribution of measured strains and estimated shear stresses are compared with those predicted by theoretical solutions. It was found that developed smart tendon can be used effectively for measuring strain of 7-wire strand anchor and theoretical solutions underestimate the magnitude of shear stress and load transfer depth.
