A Perception on SW Education of Students with Scratch-Day (스크래치데이 참여학생들의 SW 교육에 대한 인식 연구)

  • This study is to analyze students' perception about junior SW education by giving the questionnaire to the participants in Scratch-day. We taught the creative computing to 558 juniors on Scratch-day in 2013, 2014 and researched the questionnaire about their perceptions of creative computing education. We analyzed the current status of SW education from this process and extracted considerations about elementary SW education. We also proposed the possibility of its application to the elementary and middle school education. As a result of this study, it is observed that students think that creative computing education is fun and useful, and want to apply it to the public school education. Also, male students think more positive than female students about an intention to use, and students who have experienced with Scratch education consider it more useful and positive intention to use than those who have not. According to the structural model, it is found that the pleasure, easy of use, and usefulness of creative computing education have a positive influence on students' perception that it should be applied to public school education.

Implementation of an Algorithm that Generates Minimal Spanning Ladders and Exploration on its relevance with Computational Thinking (최소생성사다리를 생성하는 알고리즘 구현 및 컴퓨팅 사고력과의 관련성 탐구)

  • This paper dealt with investigating the number of minimal spanning ladders originated from ladder game and their properties as well as the related computational thinking aspects. The author modified the filtering techniques to enhance Mathematica project where a new type of graph was generated based on the algorithm using a generator of firstly found minimal spanning graph by repeatedly applying independent ladder operator to a subsequence of ladder sequence. The newly produced YC graphs had recursive and hierarchical graph structures and showed the properties of edge-symmetric. As the computational complexity increased the author divided the whole search space into the each floor of the newly generated minimal spanning graphs for the (5, 10) YC graph and the higher (6, 15) YC graph. It turned out that the computational thinking capabilities such as data visualization, abstraction, and parallel computing with Mathematica contributed to enumerating the new YC graphs in order to investigate their structures and properties.

A Study on Coding Education of Non-Computer Majors for IT Convergence Education (IT 융합교육을 위한 비전공자 코딩교육의 발전방안)

  • Coding education is an effective convergence type educational tool. While solving problems and designing programs, students can enhance problem solving ability, logical reasoning ability and creative thinking. Researches on coding education are done primarily for elementary school and middle school students. However, researches on college students are lacking. Today, educating college students about coding is in dire need. Although there are efforts to promote the importance of coding education and make it requirements. People find it difficult to find ways to provide training. There is a need for researches on coding as universal education. Therefore, this research proposed educational training using app inventor based on flipped running in order to effectively promote coding education. This study conducted the survey and the personal interview to measure the effectiveness of coding education. It is hoped that, through coding education, students who do not major in coding could combined their knowledge of their major with coding to improve their problem solving ability to solve various problems based on computing knowledge and approach.

  • As recent smartphone is used around the world, all of the subscribers of the mobile communication is up to 47.7% about 24 million people. Smartphone has a vulnerability to security, and security-related incidents are increased in damage with the smartphone. However, precautions have been made, rather than analysis of the infection of most of the damage occurs after the damaged except for the case of the expert by way of conventional post-countermeasure. In this paper, we implement a mobile-based malware analysis systems apply a virtualization technology. It is designed to analyze the behavior through it. Virtualization is a technique that provides a logical resources to the guest by abstracting the physical characteristics of computing resources. The virtualization technology can improve the efficiency of resources by integrating with cloud computing services to servers, networks, storage, and computing resources to provide a flexible. In addition, we propose a system that can be prepared in advance to buy a security from a user perspective.

  • 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 중요한 핵심 분야인 Situation-Aware 컴퓨팅과 RFID 시스템을 결합한 SA-RFID 시스템을 통해, 제한된 장소에서 범죄나 사고 같은 비정상적인 행동을 예측하기 위한 시스템을 제안하였다. SA-RFID 시스템을 이용한 비정상 행동 예측 시스템은 변형된 SA-RFID Reader 시스템 아키텍쳐와 그에 특화된 SA Middleware를 통해 설계되었고, 비정상 행동 판단 시나리오를 이용하여 명실상부 유비쿼터스 시대에 걸 맞는, 사용자에게 보다 더 안전하고 편안한 생활을 보장해주는 서비스를 제공하게 될 것이다.

  • 언어는 단순히 인간의 의사소통의 수단이 될 뿐만 아니라 사고, 추론, 판단 등의 지적활동의 도구로서 활용된다. 컴퓨터에서는 인간의 언어를 사용하여 인간과 유사한 지적활동을 실현하고 자 하는 연구로 일상언어 컴퓨팅(everyday language computing)이 있다. 본 논문에서는 일상언어 컴퓨팅을 실현하는 한 예로 교통정보 서비스를 위한 대화시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 시스테믹 기능문법(Systemic Functional Grammar: SFG)을 기반으로 사용자의 발화를 3개의 메타기능을 통하여 의미를 분석하고, 메타기능으로 표현된 의미로부터 시스템의 발화를 생성한다 기존 교통정보 서비스는 DB의 질의검색과 일률적인 정보제공이 일반적인 것에 비해, 제안하는 대화시스템은 대화의 의미 속에 포함된 사용자의 의도 및 의미를 분석함으로써 보다 적절한 정보를 제공하여 사용자의 서비스만족도를 향상 시키는 교통정보서비스를 가능하게 한다. 또한, 웹과 연동되는 VXML(Voice Extend Makeup Language)을 대화시스템에 적용함으로서 실용적인 인터페이스를 실행하였다.

  • 유아기의 교육은 그 특성상 생애 전반에 걸쳐 큰 영향을 미치게 되므로, 유아를 위한 교육은 매우 중요하며 미래사회에 필요한 내용들로 구성되어야한다. 컴퓨터는 앞으로의 시대에도 꼭 필요한 도구이며, 컴퓨터를 이용한 사고력 증진 및 컴퓨팅적 사고는 미래사회를 살아가는데 있어 중요한 요소로 여겨지고 있다. 따라서 유아에게 필요한 컴퓨터 교육은 어떻게 이루어져야 하는지, 그 교육을 위한 필요한 것들은 무엇인지에 대한 고민은 매우 중요하며 필요하다. 이에 본 논문은 기존의 유아 컴퓨터 교육에 대한 연구를 분석하여 유아교육에 대한 국내외 연구 동향을 살펴봄으로써 현재까지의 연구 상황과 실태를 파악하여 앞으로 필요한 연구의 방향 설정에 도움을 주고자 한다.

Windows based PC Log Collection System using Open Source (오픈소스를 이용한 윈도우 기반 PC 로그 수집 시스템)

  • System administrator or security managers need to collect logs of computing device (desktop or server), which are used for the purpose of cause-analysis of security incident and discover if damage to system was either caused by hacking or computer virus. Furthermore, appropriate log maintenance helps preventing security breech incidents through identification of vulnerability. In addition, it can be utilized for prevention of data leakage through the insider. In the paper, we present log collection system developed using open source supported by commands and basic methods of Windows. Furthermore, we aim to collect log information to enable search and analysis from diverse perspectives and to propose a way to integrate with open source-based search engine system.

  • Cloud computing-related security incidents have occurred recently are beyond the scope of a enterprise's security incident is expanded to the entire range of customers who use the cloud computing environment. The control technology for the overall integrated security of the cloud data center is required for this purpose. This study research integrated and additional security elements for the cloud data center control to understand the existing control technology. It is a better understanding of the IaaS cloud environment to build the IaaS cloud environment by CloudStack. SW-IaaS cloud structure by combining CloudStack and IaaS cloud model presented by NIST is proposed in this study. This paper derive a security framework to consider in each layer of The SW-IaaS cloud components, which are composed of the Cloud Manager, Cluster Manager, and Computer Manager.

  • In this study, experimental guide materials for teachers were developed so that algorithm expression, the core of computational thinking, can be applied to experimental activities. The experimental manuals presented in text was converted into an algorithmic form with a linear, branched, and repetitive structure according to the information visualization process using flowchart symbols. As an example, an experiment guide materials was developed by applying an algorithm expression to an experiment to find out the properties of a magnet. The developed experiment guide materials is different from the existing experiment guide materials expressed only sequentially in that it has an algorithmic structure of branching and repetition in which the suitability and judgment of information are expressed, and that the experiment process is visualized and expressed. It is expected that the experimental guide materials developed in this study will help teachers to understand algorithmic thinking and to implement experiments using it.
