A Study on Character Segmentation in Car Plates (번호판에서의 문자 세그멘테이션에 관한 연구)

  • 본 논문에서는 현재 자동차 번호판의 형식이 구 번호판과 신 번호판 두 가지 유형으로 구성되어 있다는 점을 고려하여 번호판의 세부적 세그멘테이션의 성능을 개선하는 방법에 대하여 제시한다. 컴퓨터 비젼을 바탕으로 한 자동차 번호판의 인식방법과 문자인식방법은 비용면이나 간편성에서 맡은 장점을 가지고 있으며 여러 응용분야에서 사용될 수 있기 때문에 다방면에서 시도되고 있다. 본 시스템은 모폴로지 연산과 클러스트링을 이용하여 자동차 번호판 전체 영역을 추출하는 방법을 사용한다. 다음으로 구번호판에서 신번호판으로 넘어가는 과도기적 단계에 있는 번호판들의 특징인 용도기능의 표시문자의 위치 차이를 이용하여 구 번호판과 신번호판을 먼저 분류한다. 분류된 번호판에서 두 번호판의 차이점인 차종기초 표시영역의 숫자를 나누어서 세그멘테이션함으로서 기존의 연구방법보다 개선된 세그멘테이션 능력과 이로 인하여 향상된 번호판 인식결과를 얻을 수 있다.

  • The SCM is on the effective treatment solution that has process schedule, material supplying, inventory management for perfect product these days. The SCM is innovative process activity to attain effective whole. It depends on the structure of approach because supplying network is consist of organization, budgeting, responsibility and authority. The major objective of the thesis was to propose the integration model and structure method technique of the SCM. Thus, to implement strategy model, firstly, it is determined repairs and non-effectiveness of supplying network. secondly, to set up future vision and goal, it is considered success factor of supplying net. thirdly, no gaps introduce between present and future of supplying net fourthly as above-mentioned consequence, Alternative is to set up integration and implementing model according to enterprise administration strategy .

  • In manual inspection of Lead Screw of computers many workers are needed to inspect samples, and its main disadvantage is that such types of inspection system not only gives low production, but also gives low perfection. Besides, in manual inspection system, the inspection cost of samples is higher than that of the automatic inspection system. Therefore, in this study to compensate these shortcomings, an automatic inspection system is developed. For the inspection of the surfaces and different dimensional parameters of computer Lead screw, a $360^{\circ}$ rotating machine vision system is developed. From the detailed analysis of the inspection results using the present developed inspection system, it is observed that the developed Lead Screw automatic inspection system is superior to those of manually inspection system.

Image Processing Software Development for Detection of Oyster Hinge Lines (굴의 힌지 선 감지를 위한 영상처리 소프트웨어의 개발)

  • Shucking(removing the meat from the shell) an oyster requires that the muscle attachments to the two shell valves and the hinge be severed. Described here is the computer vision software needed to locate the oyster hinge line so it can be automatically severed, one step in development of an automated oyster shucker. Oysters are first prepared by washing and trimming off a small shell piece on the oyster hinge end to provide access to the outer hinge surface. A computer vision system employing a color video comera then gabs an image of the hinge end of the oyster shell. This image is Processed by the computer using software. The software is a combination of commercially available and custom written routines that locate the oyster hinge. The software uses four feature variables, circularity, rectangularity, aspect-ration, and Euclidian distance, to distinguish the hinge object from other dark colored objects on the hinge end of the oyster. Several techniques, including shrink-expand, thresholding, and others, were used to secure an image that could be reliably and efficiently processed to locate the oyster hinge line.

  • One of the most important security issues of e-mail service is user privacy. Currently, various security protocols, like PGP(pretty Good Privacy), S/MIME(Secure/Multipurpose Internet Mail Extension), have been proposed. These protocols, however, do not provide forward secrecy. Recently, some security protocols that provide forward secrecy were proposed. But all of them require changes to the current e-mail infrastructure. Moreover, contrary to authors' intention, some of them do not actually provide perfect forward secrecy. In this paper, we propose a new practical e-mail security protocol. The proposed protocol provides perfect forward secrecy and uses a practical e-mail model that dose not require any changes to existing e-mail servers. It encrypts and authenticates messages efficiently using elliptic curve based signcryption scheme. In addition, we provide a way to send secure group e-mails.

  • 셀룰라 신경회로망의 연상 메모리를 이용하여 시각적인 입력 데이터의 연산을 통하여 영상 패턴의 분류와 인식을 수행한다. 셀룰라 신경회로망은 일반적인 신경회로망과 같이 비선형 데이터의 실시간 처리가 가능하고, 세 포자동자와 같이 격자구조의 셀로 이루어져 인접한 셀과 직접 정보를 주고받는다. 응용 분야로는 최적화, 선형/비선형화, 연상 메모리, 패턴인식, 컴퓨터 비젼 등에 적용할 수 있다. 영상의 이미지 픽셀을 셀룰라 신경회로망의 셀에 대응하여 전체 이미지 영상을 모든 셀룰라 신경회로망의 셀에서 동시에 병렬로 처리할 수 있어 2-D 이미지 처리에 적합하다 본 논문은 셀룰라 신경회로망에 의한 연상 메모리 구조를 설계하고, 학습된 하중값 메모리에서 가장 적당한 하중값을 선택하여 학습된 영상과 정확히 일치하는 출력을 얻는 방법을 제시한다. 학습을 통한 연상 메모리 구현에는 각각의 뉴런에서 일정하지 않은 다른 템플릿을 사용한다. 각각의 템플릿은 뉴런들 간의 연결 하중값을 나타내고 학습011 따라 갱신된다. 학습방법으로는 템플릿 하중값 학습에 뉴런들 간의 연결 하중값을 조정하는 가장 단순한 규칙인 Hebb의 학습방법이 사용되었고 분류값 학습에 LMS 알고리즘이 사용되었다

  • In unmanned machining, One of the most essential issue is the tool management system which includes controlling. identification, presetting and monitoring of cutting tools. Especially the monitoring of tool wear and fracture may be the heart of the system. In this study a computer vision based tool monitoring system is developed. Also an algorithm which can determine the tool condition using this system is presented. In order to enhance practical adaptability the vision system through which two modes of images are taken is located over the rake face of a tool insert. And they are analysed quantitatively and qualitatively with image processing technique. In fact the morphologies of tool fracture or wear are occurred so variously that it is difficult to predict them. For the purpose of this problem the pattern recognition is introduced to classify the modes of the tool such as fracture, crater, chipping and flank wear. The experimental results performed in the CNC turning machine have proved the effectiveness of the proposed system.

  • C.elegans are often used to study of function of gene, but it is difficult for human observation to distinguish the mutants of C.elegans. To solve this problem, the system, which can classify the mutant types automatically using the computer vision, is now studying. Tn previous work[1], we described the preprocessing method for automated-classification system. In this paper, we introduce shape features, which can be extracted from an acquisition image. We divide the feature into two categories, which are related to size and posture of the worm, and each feature is described mathematically We validate the shape information experimentally. And we use hierarchical clustering algorithm for classification. It reveals that 4 mutants of the worm, which are used in experiment, can be classified with over 90% of success rate.

The Container Pose Measurement Using Computer Vision (컴퓨터 비젼을 이용한 컨테이너 자세 측정)

  • This article is concerned with container pose estimation using CCD a camera and a range sensor. In particular, the issues of characteristic point extraction and image noise reduction are described. The Euler-Lagrange equation for gaussian and random noise reduction is introduced. The alternating direction implicit(ADI) method for solving Euler-Lagrange equation based on partial differential equation(PDE) is applied. The vertex points as characteristic points of a container and a spreader are founded using k order curvature calculation algorithm since the golden and the bisection section algorithm can't solve the local minimum and maximum problems. The proposed algorithm in image preprocess is effective in image denoise. Furthermore, this proposed system using a camera and a range sensor is very low price since the previous system can be used without reconstruction.

Histogram Based Hand Recognition System for Augmented Reality (증강현실을 위한 히스토그램 기반의 손 인식 시스템)

  • In this paper, we propose a new histogram based hand recognition algorithm for augmented reality. Hand recognition system makes it possible a useful interaction between an user and computer. However, there is difficulty in vision-based hand gesture recognition with viewing angle dependency due to the complexity of human hand shape. A new hand recognition system proposed in this paper is based on the features from hand geometry. The proposed recognition system consists of two steps. In the first step, hand region is extracted from the image captured by a camera and then hand gestures are recognized in the second step. At first, we extract hand region by deleting background and using skin color information. Then we recognize hand shape by determining hand feature point using histogram of the obtained hand region. Finally, we design a augmented reality system by controlling a 3D object with the recognized hand gesture. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm gives more than 91% accuracy for the hand recognition with less computational power.
